  • "The Kansas City strip with the Memphis rub was the bomb! I can't wait to try other items on the menu. My wife's salmon tasted so good it melted in her mouth. The wine was really good. Wish we could have had desert, but there was a show at the theater we had to catch. Oh well maybe next time. We can't wait to go back again the next time we have a date. I highly recommend this fine establishment"

  • "The food was good; but, nothing was a standout. We ordered steaks, the filet and Kansas City strip, both were cooked 1 level more than requested. Still tender with good flavor. The most enjoyable was the bottle of wine we ordered. The wine list had a reasonable selection of wines from California and Washington. I would expect more attentive & professional service for the price point. We found the service slow and often sat with empty beverages. Our order was not taken promptly and we had to flag down our waitress when items were forgotten from our order. Overall a good meal with nothing to set it apart."

  • "We chose to try out 350 First to celebrate a special occasion. We were seated promptly and asked if we were celebrating anything. Once we explained that we were celebrating six months free of cancer, the server brought us two glasses of champagne. My husband had a filet and it was cooked perfectly. I had the braised pork stroganoff and loved it. I ordered the chopped salad as an appetizer and the server suggested a half portion. We were treated to a special dessert, also courtesy of the house, to top off our evening. It was a wonderful experience. Wish we would have known in advance that they offer free valet parking and validate the ticket if you bring it in. We parked in the parking garage and walked over."

  • "Being quite new as a gluten free/dairy free eater I'm a little leery of dining out. The 350 First wait staff was so accommodating! My husband ordered the Mediterranean Plate which included pita bread. The staff brought out carrot slices so I could also enjoy. The beef (filet) was outstanding. Our order took quite awhile to arrive but they gave us sorbet on the house for the inconvenience. Lovely dining. We'll be back!"

  • "Overall our experience was good and the food was worth the wait. It was not busy the night we were there which made the fact that our service was slow a little hard to take. Our whole dining experience lasted nearly 2 1/2 hours because of the lag between taking our drink orders and food orders and eventually getting our food. There was even a delay in getting dessert. We were a group of six, so not huge, but it helped that their was good conversation. The staff was friendly and the mood was nice for a night out with friends but would also be good for a romantic evening out. Again, we were overall pleased and I would recommend it to friends and will also return to see how the next visit goes."

  • "I took my girlfriend here for her birthday. The view was amazing...for Cedar Rapids especially. They surprised her with a free desert which just made it even better. I didn't expect anything like that. The food was amazing. Good, clean, real food. My steak was cooked perfectly. The drinks were also very nice. The lounge area of the restaurant looks inviting and I would love to bring a group in for appetizers and drinks and to have a fun time but the music was a little quiet for that type of thing. Hopefully this changes. I will definitely be back again."

Cedar Rapidians should be supporting one of the finest dining establishments in our city. They even provide FREE valet parking!"

  • "My wife and I celebrated our 27th wedding anniversary recently at 350 First. The online registration was easy and they even called me earlier in the day to confirm. Our server was friendly and knowledgeable about the menu. The food was great and presented very well. The best part was the surprise cupcakes we received for dessert. The chef had written "Happy Anniversary" in frosting on the plate next to them. What a special treat. "

  • "The service was phenomenal. The menu is kind of limited. They do offer all of the standard steakhouse options with different seasoning and sauces. The filet mignon was great. The macaroni and cheese with short ribs was all right. It would be nice if they offered a special or two every day prompting us to come back to try something new. If nothing else, the lounge, attached to the restaurant, would be a great place to grab some drinks after dinner or a show. "

  • "Good food, Great service. The menu is pricey, but food didn't quite have the quality to match the price. Overall execution was good, but missed some important marks. Steaks were cooked perfectly! Shrimp was overcooked and rubbery. Garlic mashed potatoes has so much garlic that few at the table could eat more than a bite or two. Most dishes really needed some acid to balance the richness. The deserts were awesome! Especially the carrot cake! I would return, but not very often equivalent food can be found elsewhere for much less money. Great special occasion restaurant with beautiful views of the city."

  • "The food was great and the wait staff attentive. It was very quiet which was important to our conversation, as everyone could participate. We made a reservation using OpenTable but when we arrived it was clear they were ready for our party of six. They quickly put two tables together and re-set them. The view is okay. Ours was partially blocked by curtains. The promotion of having a knife engraved with our name after eating chaps five times seemed a bit low-class. The wait-staff was courteous when presenting the promotion, but we felt there may have been a "sales" motive for her."

  • "When I made the reservations, I asked for a table next to a window, since it was our anniversary and wanted a special night but when we arrived were told that we couldn't have a window table. A little disappointed. We were seated too close to the bar, which was somewhat busy because of a Titan's game at the US Cellular Center. Food was ok - but overpriced! Could have had the same meal at another restaurant for much less."

It was finally served a good hour after we ordered (place was not busy Tuesday night). I opted for vegetables in lieu of potatoes and got a small side. Needless to say the salmon and small serving of vegetables left me very hungry. Ordered the same dish at the White Ale the following night and enjoyed the dinner and portion."

  • "I didn't think it was necessary to call & confirm my online reservation. This is perhaps out of anyone's control, but the people around us were loud. In an upscale restaurant I expect a quieter environment. My husband didn't think the salmon had much flavor and he didn't care for the potato salad or chilled broccoli served with it. It was a pleasant surprise to receive a sample appetizer. In the future we might return for drinks, or perhaps dessert, but probably not for dinner."

  • "There are definitely pros & cons to the experience we had there. The décor and view from 350 First are fantastic. That's about were it stopped being amazing. Nothing really jumped out at me where I could say "That was the best ____ that I've ever had!" I ordered the Cowboy Cut Ribeye, but the meat itself didn't have much taste and was rather fatty, even for a ribeye. The sides were not served hot enough. My wife ordered the stuffed shrimp. They were a bit too chewy, but the stuffing was great. The Sunday brunch was a disappointment. The entrees were almost always empty and again. All in all I'd have to say that as for the food, it's not that I was displeased, but I definitely won't register the flavors in my long term memory banks."

  • "We had high hopes for this place, but the food was average, especially for the price. Our steaks were slightly overcooked (not enough to send back). We got the coffee rub, which was excellent, but the meat itself had no flavor. For what we spent, there are a few other restaurants in town we would have rather gone to. The bar is nice, with a great view. I think it would be a good place for drinks late night, but have dinner somewhere else."
