The menu is filled with foods I'd love to eat! I do prefer the lunch menu over the dinner menu. But I have noticed that many food items are prepared with a slight careless regard for how long something is cooked...my fries were medium brown and not just golden--even the waitress acknowledged that this is how they are prepared. My panini was grilled to that same dark brownze/bown shade. I personally feel it is not as attractive or as flavorful when cooked so long. I do frying at home and know that a matter of seconds can change deep fried potato fries from beautiful golden shades to a brown. We also order the fried calamari appetizer and it was fried to a nice color tone but it didn't hold the batter and was not as appealing as usual.

I had a weekend course in Costa Mesa and wanted to meet my daughter (who goes to UCSD) at a halfway point for dinner. When I googled Oceanside restaurants, 333 Pacific came up first. I am so glad we got to check it out and that we enjoyed it so much! The calamari was delicious, as was my lobster salad. My daughter had a filet and said it was fantastic. Great wine and our server, Anthony, was a delight. The bread pudding was simply sensational! I'd love to eat there again!!!

This is a special occasion restaurant for us and the staff really made it special, as well as the awesome vodka cocktails. From the moment the hostess spoke to us until we finished our meal, we were treated perfectly. The staff was friendly, competent and the service was even pretty fast. The food was delicious!

Everything with the luncheon I had last Saturday went well. 333 Pacific lived up to the excellent reputation the Cohen chain has earned. There was just one oitem that was way out of character and very annoying. I found putting the gartuity schedule at the bottom of the check to rude and somewhat of an insult.

I went on a date to 333, service was great, our Waiter was attentive and even offered a better way to order our meal so we received more food for the same price. The view was nice, just after sunset. Food was great, steak and lobster tail. Great cocktails also!

This was our second visit to 333. We made a reservation earlier that day. we were seated early when we arrived and the server was very good about knowing the daily special. we decided on steak. both cuts were perfectly cooked had exceptional flavor. both the server and assistant stayed on top of us asking if we needed anything else. The only complaint we have is the noise level. The place is just to noisy. it is hard to have a conversation without having to elevate your voice. We will be back. The food is wonderful and the service is above average.

This was our first time trying 333, and we will be back, once we save up. 333 is a steak and seafood joint with some foodie twists on the traditional faire. We are gluten free, allergies, and were initially disappointed to hear the steak seasoning has wheat in it; but the menu does have GF options, and the kitchen was willing to work with us. The watermelon gazpacho and half dozen oysters made excellent starters, since most of the appetizers were not GF. Our ribeye and salmon were very good, but the hash and asparagus sides (which were extra) were nothing special. 333 is essentially a vodka bzar with a restaurant, and if you are into that they have GF cocktails as well. Overall we had a great time and will try it again. Reservations = must

there was a tue chef specials that was a good deal (3 course) for $33.95, the selections was pretty good. butternut squash soup, salmon (moist and flavorful) with risotto and leek, berry crumble (ran out - so did not try). creme brulee was substituted. was looking forward to the berry crumble with ice cream so a little disappointed. Overall, the whole party of 9 was pretty happy with the meal

Upon being seated we ordered a salad to share and a half of bottle of wine. We then ordered the Halibut special and the 8oz filet mignon. 45 min to an hour later our food was delivered. The halibut was overdone and the steak and mashed potatoes were cold. They offered to redo the steak but by then our experience was a disaster. They compt us the salad but we paid $50 for HALF a bottle of average red wine before walking out without dinner. Very surprised they made us pay for even the wine after such a bad experience. Will not go back!!

There were four of us, we had the calamari starter and it was one of the best we have had anywhere. Two of our party had the filet mignon, both were cooked exactly as order and very flavorful. I and my husband had the lobster, which was great and plentiful enough for us to split, The dual cream brulee is another favorite of mine and this again was very good. The Vodka Bar was also a hit and so many choices and styles. Would highly recommend.

We invited guests from Orange County to join us at this half-way mark from La Jolla. What an embarrassment! The food was terrible. Dry, salty, overcooked and without taste. Three out of four meals should have been sent back. I've been a Cohn restaurant fan ever since David and Leslie started their first one... I've noticed lately they are going downhill. In addition, there's something that happens in an intimate dinner conversation when servers don't know how to be discrete enough not to interrupt. This happened incessantly between bussers and servers from the kitchen who brought out the meals (wrong ones the first time). Everything was totally uncoordinated and without sensitivity to the diners. We would never go back.

This restaurant is "dialed in" with all the bases covered !! Went this past weekend celebrating our anniversary. Started off with a White Tiger vodka martini, light, aromatic & went perfect with our appetizer, a tempura lobster roll. My husband had the Pork Wellington with a brandy cream sauce to die for !! I opted for their Sea Bass special. Both entrees were cooked to perfection & very yummy. We were seated in a booth where we were able to watch a spectacular sunset. For dessert we were treated to chocolate & vanilla ice cream served in an edible cookie bowl drizzled with chocolate sauce with a "Happy Anniversary" message on the plate. A nice touch for sure. Our server Kwan was superb !! We'll definitely be back.

This was my 5th time dining at 333 Pacific, and it's still the weakest of the Cohn restaurants in my opinion. View is great, but the menu is deceiving. The description of the pasta dishes my friends had sounded great, but they were bland and did not contain some of the elements described in the menu. My lamb was good and cooked perfectly, but no where in the "basil/Mint chimichurri" did it indicate that it was spicy (hot). That made it difficult for me to eat. The beef short ribs are consistently good, but that's about it.

333 is truly a gem! We took another couple there for dinner. It was their first time at 333 and they were very impressed. The food is great and the service was outstanding. Even Debra, the manager stopped by our table to say "Hi". I always choose a booth in the back because it is much easier to carry on a conversation there. The bar (big vodka selection) is a very popular night spot and the noise level is stronger at the front of the restaurant. Located on the sand, adjacent to the pier, in the heart of the North Coast Theatre and Arts District. Just two blocks to the historic STAR Theatre.

Service was outstanding! We were there for Restaurant Week and they charged more if you wanted seafood selection, I wondered, "isn't this a seafood restaurant? why would you charge more if you wanted seafood menu?" anyways, of course, we upgraded to the seafood menu! Appetizers were very good! Scallops were tiny and overpriced. We also ordered the pork chops...THEY WERE COLD! there are way better restaurants than this one in North County!

333 Pacific is my husband's favorite restaurant, so we hit it up when we can. The service is usually exceptional, but, on this night, it was just ok. Our waitress wasn't attentive and we ended up waiting a good 10 minutes after we were seated before she came over to ask for a drink order. We experienced the type of service that you'd expect at the Denny's around the corner, which was disappointing since we always spend over $100 on dinner for 2 when dining at 333.

Go for happy hour. Frank at the bar makes good $7 martinis and good conversation. Then eat on the outdoor patio. Atmosphere inside is nothing special but outside it's perfect and facing the ocean. We went on a Wednesday night and could park for free after 6:00 right by the door. Then took a stroll on the pier. Tammy our waitress was excellent and so were the hostesses. The only reason I gave it 3 stars is because it is very pricey. If it wasn't so expensive we would come back more often.

I made our reservation online and had no problem. Arrived at the restaurant a little early. So we decided to have a drink for Happy Hour. Very yummy martinis. Since it was our anniversary, I requested a patio table. The sun was a little bright, but we loved every minute of it. Tammy was our waitress. She was amazing. Friendly but not over the top. We placed our order. Didn't feel rushed. Our salads arrived, then dinner, then dessert. And of course, another martini. We were able to watch the sun set. Beautiful!! After we had finished our experience at the table, we moved back to the bar for one last martini. I recommend the Cali Mango. Had such a wonderful time, that we went back the next night for my birthday.

Per info on the Open table website, I called the restaurant directly to increase our party from 4 to 6 persons. Upon arrival, they claimed they did not have this info and could not seat us in the dining room for 1 1/2 hrs. Our only option was to sit in the private room where no other patrons were seated--- which we chose to do. We were very disappointed as we were looking forward to a bit more seaside ambience. Once seated, the service was very good and the food as well, although we felt rushed as the courses came too quickly, one after the other. Even though it was the first night of San Diego Restaurant Week, things could have gone a bit slower as obviously no one was waiting for our table!

On our way to a family event in Oceanside, and after the long drive and before the event itself, we needed a little sustenance, and a little wine as well. I've been a huge fan of the Cohn group's restaurants (still miss the beloved Kokopeli in Hillcrest!) so it was a no-brainer to stop here. We sat on the patio, with a gorgeous view of the Oceanside Pier and the ocean, and dug into the Bloody Mary Shrimp Cocktail (wow!) and sweet potato fries (loved the spicy sambal oleck) before moving on to the lobster roll and the crab hash. Hubby wasn't as big a fan of the hash as I was, but we both loved the meaty lobster roll. Only complaint: we were in the mood for a rose, and there was not a one on the wine list. Otherwise a big win!

Disappointing - great location but staff poorly trained. Upon entering 333 the staff were unfriendly and we weren't asked where we wanted to sit and we were shunted to the side of the building - we had to ask for fresh wine glasses after having white wine and then having a bottle of red for the entree which was heavily salted. My wife's plate was taken away before I had finished which is just poor service. V expensive for what was pub grub - steak and mashed potato. Would not recommend and won't be going back - staff very friendly and tried hard but need training. Love Oceanside but this was a below par restaurant.

Entrees were well above average in quality, timeliness and presentation. Extra extra points for (a) noticing that we felt a little chilly and, without our asking, immediately turning down the a/c, and (b) the manager later coming to ask if we were now comfortable. Classy. But same points lost for two irritants: The bread served with the all meals are doughy, tasteless supermarket rolls made even worse with some kind of dreadful honeyed butter, a jarring, appetite-killing note that doesn't work at all. The second points-off irritant is a server training issue: If you aspire to some level of classy upscale dining status you simply can't have servers in their early 20's repeatedly addressing customers their 60's and 70's as "you guys".

Dinner was just OK. I have eaten at Pacific 333 on many occasions and love the food, but was a bit disappointed on last Sunday night. Came afer the concert and got there around 7:30. They ran out of the Ribeye steak and the Prime Rib. Settled on ordering the meatloaf but didn't think there was anything special about it although it was made with Kobe Beef. The fish special also seemed over priced since it was described as "like cod". My wife had the short ribs and although tasty, thought the portion size was small especially for the price. Server was nice but the service was a little slow.

The service is prompt, but I felt as though I was being hurried. I want to be asked first if I would like a drink. Then ask me if I've decided on a main course. Not the other way around. When I spend $227 for diner, I want to saver the moment. If I wanted to eat fast, I would choose another restaurant. Towards the end of the meal, I felt in particular that I was being rushed, though not by my waitress. Also, the catch of the day was halibut, and it was extremely dry. The calamari was as good as any I've had, however, and the view, friendliness of staff, etc, were superb.
