333 Pacific is my husband's favorite restaurant, so we hit it up when we can. The service is usually exceptional, but, on this night, it was just ok. Our waitress wasn't attentive and we ended up waiting a good 10 minutes after we were seated before she came over to ask for a drink order. We experienced the type of service that you'd expect at the Denny's around the corner, which was disappointing since we always spend over $100 on dinner for 2 when dining at 333.

Go for happy hour. Frank at the bar makes good $7 martinis and good conversation. Then eat on the outdoor patio. Atmosphere inside is nothing special but outside it's perfect and facing the ocean. We went on a Wednesday night and could park for free after 6:00 right by the door. Then took a stroll on the pier. Tammy our waitress was excellent and so were the hostesses. The only reason I gave it 3 stars is because it is very pricey. If it wasn't so expensive we would come back more often.

I made our reservation online and had no problem. Arrived at the restaurant a little early. So we decided to have a drink for Happy Hour. Very yummy martinis. Since it was our anniversary, I requested a patio table. The sun was a little bright, but we loved every minute of it. Tammy was our waitress. She was amazing. Friendly but not over the top. We placed our order. Didn't feel rushed. Our salads arrived, then dinner, then dessert. And of course, another martini. We were able to watch the sun set. Beautiful!! After we had finished our experience at the table, we moved back to the bar for one last martini. I recommend the Cali Mango. Had such a wonderful time, that we went back the next night for my birthday.

Came for Restaurant week with friends who had not been here before. They both got the usual Sunday evening prime rib special, which they raved about, and I had salmon, which was very good. Watched the sunset...enclosed patio area is noisy when windows are open due to traffic (motorcycles, etc.) right outside the window. Service was good, but not great.

Per info on the Open table website, I called the restaurant directly to increase our party from 4 to 6 persons. Upon arrival, they claimed they did not have this info and could not seat us in the dining room for 1 1/2 hrs. Our only option was to sit in the private room where no other patrons were seated--- which we chose to do. We were very disappointed as we were looking forward to a bit more seaside ambience. Once seated, the service was very good and the food as well, although we felt rushed as the courses came too quickly, one after the other. Even though it was the first night of San Diego Restaurant Week, things could have gone a bit slower as obviously no one was waiting for our table!

On our way to a family event in Oceanside, and after the long drive and before the event itself, we needed a little sustenance, and a little wine as well. I've been a huge fan of the Cohn group's restaurants (still miss the beloved Kokopeli in Hillcrest!) so it was a no-brainer to stop here. We sat on the patio, with a gorgeous view of the Oceanside Pier and the ocean, and dug into the Bloody Mary Shrimp Cocktail (wow!) and sweet potato fries (loved the spicy sambal oleck) before moving on to the lobster roll and the crab hash. Hubby wasn't as big a fan of the hash as I was, but we both loved the meaty lobster roll. Only complaint: we were in the mood for a rose, and there was not a one on the wine list. Otherwise a big win!

Disappointing - great location but staff poorly trained. Upon entering 333 the staff were unfriendly and we weren't asked where we wanted to sit and we were shunted to the side of the building - we had to ask for fresh wine glasses after having white wine and then having a bottle of red for the entree which was heavily salted. My wife's plate was taken away before I had finished which is just poor service. V expensive for what was pub grub - steak and mashed potato. Would not recommend and won't be going back - staff very friendly and tried hard but need training. Love Oceanside but this was a below par restaurant.

Entrees were well above average in quality, timeliness and presentation. Extra extra points for (a) noticing that we felt a little chilly and, without our asking, immediately turning down the a/c, and (b) the manager later coming to ask if we were now comfortable. Classy. But same points lost for two irritants: The bread served with the all meals are doughy, tasteless supermarket rolls made even worse with some kind of dreadful honeyed butter, a jarring, appetite-killing note that doesn't work at all. The second points-off irritant is a server training issue: If you aspire to some level of classy upscale dining status you simply can't have servers in their early 20's repeatedly addressing customers their 60's and 70's as "you guys".

Dinner was just OK. I have eaten at Pacific 333 on many occasions and love the food, but was a bit disappointed on last Sunday night. Came afer the concert and got there around 7:30. They ran out of the Ribeye steak and the Prime Rib. Settled on ordering the meatloaf but didn't think there was anything special about it although it was made with Kobe Beef. The fish special also seemed over priced since it was described as "like cod". My wife had the short ribs and although tasty, thought the portion size was small especially for the price. Server was nice but the service was a little slow.

The service is prompt, but I felt as though I was being hurried. I want to be asked first if I would like a drink. Then ask me if I've decided on a main course. Not the other way around. When I spend $227 for diner, I want to saver the moment. If I wanted to eat fast, I would choose another restaurant. Towards the end of the meal, I felt in particular that I was being rushed, though not by my waitress. Also, the catch of the day was halibut, and it was extremely dry. The calamari was as good as any I've had, however, and the view, friendliness of staff, etc, were superb.

This was our 49th anniversary and we wanted someplace special. 333 was our choice and we are thrilled with the experience. Everyone was very attentive, food was outstanding, and they brought us a complimentary dessert with 'Happy Anniversary' written on the plate in chocolate. I would recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for a special date. The bar was very noisy and full of people, a popular place it seems. We were seated on the terrace which was very quiet and we overlooked the pier and ocean.

Nice bar, busy happy hour, not too crowded. Of course, being there the day after Labor Day, probably less busy than usual. Nice dinner except my husband's sea bass was overcooked. Our server gave us just the right amount of attention; casual, helpful, not overly chatty, saw our camera and offered to take a picture without us asking (our 30th anniversary)...nice! If you go, have the calamari appetizer, it's the best!

I had the short ribs and honestly they were the leanest I have every eaten. My husband had the special, which was sea bass. It was not good; he said it was flavorless; also seemed to have sat under the heat lamps too long. Would be willing to try this place again but it did not meet expectations as a high end restaurant.

I heard about 333 Pacific a few years ago from clients who said they loved it and we finally got around to going. The service was excellent and we loved the food. I had the $33.00 special of the night, an amazing complicated salad, a wonderful scallop main dish and lemon and raspberry ice dessert. I started with a Moscow Mule cocktail that I HAVE to get the recipe for! My husband loved the lobster salad and he had the creme brûlée for dessert, all excellent. We had a gorgeous view of the ocean and we could people watch at the same time. We were next to a boisterous table of coworkers but that can happen anywhere.

We went dressed up thinking the 333 was going to be a fancy restaurant, but we found others in shorts and t-shirts. The patio is not fancy or upscale, just a regular ole patio, of course you get to hear loud booming music from cars going by that kind of degrades the experience. too. Not on the scale of Vintana!

It was standing room only when I walked in at 6 PM on a Saturday. Glad we made reservations. Got a booth as requested, but as the sun was setting one person at our table got a blinding glare of the sun there was no way to block it as the blinds are on the outside patio and we were inside. Why not just not seat at that table until the sun sets or moves past that position. Other booths were open with no glare from sun. Food was good. My filet, flavorful, had large chunk of gristle in the middle which was surprising. We felt very rushed by our waiter. I hadn't seen my dinner companions for a while so we were catching up we felt pressure to stop and figure out our order, being told the kitchen was busy and we should put our order in.

Great, friendly service. Ordered the Rib Eye steak and Lobster Tails for two, which included mashed potatoes and green beans. Every thing was fantastic tasting, although there was quite a bit of fat on the steaks. Cream Brulee was disappointing, and the milk served with our coffee was bad. I actually left still hungry. Hmmm. But let be clear about one thing- the service was awesome.

My husband and I came here for our wedding anniversary dinner. We had a few drinks in the bar, which were amazing! Then we were seated at a table on the patio with a beautiful view of the ocean. This is where the dinner started to go downhill. It took our waiter 10 min to even greet us. Once we ordered our meal, it took about 15 min to get our soup and salad. About 45 min later we had still not received our dinner. Our waiter had not even been by to check on us or let us know why it was taking so long. My husband finally stopped a manager that was walking by and asked what was was going on! They apologized and said the kitchen was backed up. We eventually got our dinner and we had 2 different managers come to our table and aplogize.

Would not recommend for an elegant, quiet dinner. Have been to Ventana in Escondido--take some lessons from them. I will not be back. We have come here for years and love this place BUT these past 3 times (over these past 6 mos) the food service has been really slow. The items we have had before are not prepared completely, until we point it out. I feel bad for the server because it is not their fault. Seems like the kitchen is having some issues. Thinking twice as to whether to come here anymore, which is disappointing, since this was our go to place all these years. By the way, the martini's are awesome!
