A word from 320 Main
Seal Beach's intimate 320 Main long ago set the benchmark in Orange County for cutting edge, creative craft cocktails. Owners Jason & Rebecca Schiffer have all but perfected the art of re-imagining popular cocktail recipes, utilizing the latest techniques and ingredients, all the while refining their standard cocktail repertoire that pays homage to America's greatest gift to the culinary world.

320 Main recently appointed Chef Jaime Carrano, who now brings a similar ethos to the kitchens of 320. An alumni of prestigious kitchens in Southern California including Bouchon Beverly Hills and Charlie Palmer at South Coast Plaza, as well as New York City's acclaimed Aureole, Chef Carrano's new menus feature a delicious offering of accessible American cuisine, utilizing classic French techniques and the freshest and finest of ingredients.

Diner Reviews
  • "The restaurant is located in the middle of beautiful Main St, Seal Beach, California. So pretty and scenic! Our waitress was attentive and a doll! The place is beautiful with warm brown tone walls, low ceiling a wonderful use of space making it quite cozy and friendly. Our reservation was for Tuesday, 6:30 p.m. so the place was not crowded but quiet! Our group is a Women's motorcycle club and while riding, we Don't consume alcohol. But the restaurant has a wonderful wine and specialty drink list that would be nice to try...another time... We were a party of six with different foodie taste which the menu afforded a variety of choices especially a la carte and fantastic entrees! We will return to try the rest of the menu and desserts!"

  • "You have to get the pork chop. Truly delicious! Moist, thick, flavorful."

  • "I came by 3 hours early and dropped a few items I wanted on the table for our 38th anniversary. Kristen took the items and when we arrived for our 7 pm reservation the table was set to perfection."

  • "I took a friend here to celebrate her birthday. The service was very attentive and we never felt rushed. We were able to sit and enjoy a cocktail followed by a few appetizer and then dinner. I would definitely go back."

  • "Had a great dinner here with my kids. Nice little restaurant. Drinks were good, the food was excellent, dessert was very good. Not too many entrée options if you are not a meat eater, so be aware if someone in your party requires that. Grilled octopus salad was a hit, as were the steaks. Salmon was perfect. Presentation was nice, and I must say the service was impeccable. Our waitress was very friendly, made some great recommendations, and was attentive, but not overbearing. Really a great experience overall. One small thing to note: we sat in a booth and the table seemed a little too high, not uncomfortably so, but enough that all my (nearly adult) kids commented on it. You may want to opt for a table instead of a booth in some cases."

  • "Small and quaint. Bartender very prideful of home derived libations."

  • "We've been there a few times. The drinks are always great, food is amazing, and the staff is very professional Good place to go if you'd like to splurge for the evening."

  • "Justine provided great service and excellent menu suggestions. We had the peppers and the polenta with burrata cheese as appetizers. The Philly cheese steak was very good and my companions enjoyed their salmon and pasta with duck comfit. At Justine's suggestion I tried the Detroiter - I had never even heard of Cynar - but it was a treat. Will definitely be back. "

  • "It has been a year since we were last at 320 Main. The menu has improved and with it the food. The service was always good. The restaurant is a small loud scene with a lot of energy, that creates a a fun environment. Great for Couples or Groups of friends."

  • "my husband and I moved from Seal to NYC almost two years ago and when we finally made a visit back, we ate at 320 every night. the food has been upgraded and the cocktails are as good as we remembered. love this place, wish they would open one in nyc. only desire is I keep hoping for more vegetarian options. the peppers, cauliflower, and asparagus are amazing!"

  • "They changed the chefs in the kitchen and the menu too. Drinks where priced as if I was in Hawaii along with poor service just made for a very bad experience. Originally the four of us where going to have dinner there but decided to leave after our drinks and appetizers. Sad to report that the changes they made where not for the better. "

  • "Has pasta dish which was very good, but need to dial back on the salt. Coctails are prefect. The wine list is small but the quality is as good as you will find anywhere. "

  • "The food is very good, the small plate and appetizers can make up a meal. The cocktails are exceptional. On certain nights the noise level can be very high, but it is always accompanied by high energy."

  • "We have celebrated 2 anniversaries and 2 birthdays at 320 Main and it is always excellent. We have the Old Cubans, always. This time the menu had been changed and our server Kristen made recommendations and she was spot on. The Scottish Salmon and the Kale Salad were great but the bacon wrapped dates we had as appetizers were FABULOUS!! Then we tasted heaven with the Brown Sugar cake. OMG!! The real gem of 320 Main is Kristen our server and all of the staff."

  • "We needed a place that had good food, nice wines and beers but was quiet and less casual than most of the beach spots. 320 was a great find. The food was terrific, the desserts were appropriate and the serving portions weren't overloaded. For a classy but not stuffy meeting place, 320 was very nice."

  • "We had a reservation and as soon as we arrived we were seated in a booth with a smile. The ambiance was good though the view at the open kitchen with its bright lighting is not too appealing. The room is pretty bare and could use more decor. The service was fast and the cocktails yummy (Negroni's loss and MaiTai). The food was good to very good to our taste (we had duck fries, gnocchi and salmon). We will come back!"

  • "Simply a great cocktail bar, which is rare given all the attention for wine and now beer everywhere. The overall menu is somewhat limited and just enough to make you not just have drinks and go somewhere else."

  • "Great cocktail bar, now featuring great food that's not too pricey. Think lots of small plates. Great place to live on the edge with liquor as opposed to the endless beer and wine options elsewhere. About half traditional cocktails and half their own blends. I had three: good, better and best."

  • "this place is known for their cocktails, but recently got a new chef and the food is now getting good reviews. Came here on a saturday night, placed had a decent amount of people but was not overly packed. Food was really good, had the burger and duck pot pie. good drinks list. Ambient lighting good be better."
    Dined on 3/8/2014
  • "While the food was good the menu is quite limited. No chicken, only one steak, no salads, etc. Was very surprised that there were no specials on a Saturday night."

  • "Food was great. The décor and ambiance was nice. However, the waiter seemed too busy to attend our table frequently enough."

  • "Half the dishes we ordered were unique and tasty, seasoned perfectly. The other half was bland and non descriptive it was unfortunate. The Brown sugar cake was awesome though."

  • "We hadn't been to 320 Main in over a year because we were not impressed with their food. However, we decided to give it another try as it was our son's request for his birthday celebration. Lo and behold it was delicious! The menu had changed and we all practically ate our plates it was so good! It is a must!"

  • "I celebrated Valentine's Day here with my boyfriend. My favorite part about 320 Main was the ambience. It was so beautiful and romantic. The food was okay, it could have been better. But overall, the place was good."

  • "Took the wife for a Valentine's dinner expecting an experience to remember. Ordered the Rib Eye and found it to be okay, but nothing extraordinary. Was surprised that it was accompanied by French fries...common and bland. Brussels sprouts and salad were top notch. On average, the meal was good. But not great."

  • "We had a wonderful lunch at this casual spot. Service (Thanks, Austin!) was super accommodating and friendly and the duck fat fries and gravy were so yummy. To balance out the sin of the fries, have the delicious Ceasar-style kale salad!"

  • "We eat here all the time.....doesn't hurt that we can walk from our house. The menu is different enough to hold our interest all the time; they change it up occasionally and bring in new dishes. The food is delicious!! The handcrafted cocktails (don't miss the Harvest Moon) are the best I've had and they run a great Happy Hour. Also....order the blistered chilis!!"
