Seal Beach's intimate 320 Main long ago set the benchmark in Orange County for cutting edge, creative craft cocktails. Owners Jason & Rebecca Schiffer have all but perfected the art of re-imagining popular cocktail recipes, utilizing the latest techniques and ingredients, all the while refining their standard cocktail repertoire that pays homage to America's greatest gift to the culinary world.

320 Main recently appointed Chef Jaime Carrano, who now brings a similar ethos to the kitchens of 320. An alumni of prestigious kitchens in Southern California including Bouchon Beverly Hills and Charlie Palmer at South Coast Plaza, as well as New York City's acclaimed Aureole, Chef Carrano's new menus feature a delicious offering of accessible American cuisine, utilizing classic French techniques and the freshest and finest of ingredients.

  • "The restaurant is located in the middle of beautiful Main St, Seal Beach, California. So pretty and scenic! Our waitress was attentive and a doll! The place is beautiful with warm brown tone walls, low ceiling a wonderful use of space making it quite cozy and friendly. Our reservation was for Tuesday, 6:30 p.m. so the place was not crowded but quiet! Our group is a Women's motorcycle club and while riding, we Don't consume alcohol. But the restaurant has a wonderful wine and specialty drink list that would be nice to try...another time... We were a party of six with different foodie taste which the menu afforded a variety of choices especially a la carte and fantastic entrees! We will return to try the rest of the menu and desserts!"

Not too many entrée options if you are not a meat eater, so be aware if someone in your party requires that. Grilled octopus salad was a hit, as were the steaks. Salmon was perfect. Presentation was nice, and I must say the service was impeccable. Our waitress was very friendly, made some great recommendations, and was attentive, but not overbearing. Really a great experience overall. One small thing to note: we sat in a booth and the table seemed a little too high, not uncomfortably so, but enough that all my (nearly adult) kids commented on it. You may want to opt for a table instead of a booth in some cases."

The Philly cheese steak was very good and my companions enjoyed their salmon and pasta with duck comfit. At Justine's suggestion I tried the Detroiter - I had never even heard of Cynar - but it was a treat. Will definitely be back. "

This time the menu had been changed and our server Kristen made recommendations and she was spot on. The Scottish Salmon and the Kale Salad were great but the bacon wrapped dates we had as appetizers were FABULOUS!! Then we tasted heaven with the Brown Sugar cake. OMG!! The real gem of 320 Main is Kristen our server and all of the staff."

The room is pretty bare and could use more decor. The service was fast and the cocktails yummy (Negroni's loss and MaiTai). The food was good to very good to our taste (we had duck fries, gnocchi and salmon). We will come back!"
