A word from 320 Main
Seal Beach's intimate 320 Main long ago set the benchmark in Orange County for cutting edge, creative craft cocktails. Owners Jason & Rebecca Schiffer have all but perfected the art of re-imagining popular cocktail recipes, utilizing the latest techniques and ingredients, all the while refining their standard cocktail repertoire that pays homage to America's greatest gift to the culinary world.

320 Main recently appointed Chef Jaime Carrano, who now brings a similar ethos to the kitchens of 320. An alumni of prestigious kitchens in Southern California including Bouchon Beverly Hills and Charlie Palmer at South Coast Plaza, as well as New York City's acclaimed Aureole, Chef Carrano's new menus feature a delicious offering of accessible American cuisine, utilizing classic French techniques and the freshest and finest of ingredients.

Diner Reviews
  • "The food is always amazing. We have never left with a disappointed tummy. The drinks are phenomenal."

  • "We have celebrated 2 anniversaries and 2 birthdays at 320 Main and it is always excellent. We have the Old Cubans, always. This time the menu had been changed and our server Kristen made recommendations and she was spot on. The Scottish Salmon and the Kale Salad were great but the bacon wrapped dates we had as appetizers were FABULOUS!! Then we tasted heaven with the Brown Sugar cake. OMG!! The real gem of 320 Main is Kristen our server and all of the staff."

  • "The food is very good... service was good- server seemed to want to rush us to choose... gets loud and busy..."

  • "good late night happy hour and Wednesday wine night!"

  • "Great cocktail bar, now featuring great food that's not too pricey. Think lots of small plates. Great place to live on the edge with liquor as opposed to the endless beer and wine options elsewhere. About half traditional cocktails and half their own blends. I had three: good, better and best."

  • "We needed a place that had good food, nice wines and beers but was quiet and less casual than most of the beach spots. 320 was a great find. The food was terrific, the desserts were appropriate and the serving portions weren't overloaded. For a classy but not stuffy meeting place, 320 was very nice."

  • "We had a reservation and as soon as we arrived we were seated in a booth with a smile. The ambiance was good though the view at the open kitchen with its bright lighting is not too appealing. The room is pretty bare and could use more decor. The service was fast and the cocktails yummy (Negroni's loss and MaiTai). The food was good to very good to our taste (we had duck fries, gnocchi and salmon). We will come back!"

  • "Simply a great cocktail bar, which is rare given all the attention for wine and now beer everywhere. The overall menu is somewhat limited and just enough to make you not just have drinks and go somewhere else."

  • "While the food was good the menu is quite limited. No chicken, only one steak, no salads, etc. Was very surprised that there were no specials on a Saturday night."

  • "this place is known for their cocktails, but recently got a new chef and the food is now getting good reviews. Came here on a saturday night, placed had a decent amount of people but was not overly packed. Food was really good, had the burger and duck pot pie. good drinks list. Ambient lighting good be better."

  • "Food was great. The décor and ambiance was nice. However, the waiter seemed too busy to attend our table frequently enough."

  • "We hadn't been to 320 Main in over a year because we were not impressed with their food. However, we decided to give it another try as it was our son's request for his birthday celebration. Lo and behold it was delicious! The menu had changed and we all practically ate our plates it was so good! It is a must!"

  • "Half the dishes we ordered were unique and tasty, seasoned perfectly. The other half was bland and non descriptive it was unfortunate. The Brown sugar cake was awesome though."

  • "Liked this restaurant but the menu is very limited. That being said, the gnocchi that I ordered was excellent. The desserts our party of 5 tried were very unmemorable."

  • "We did however love our waitress and the yummy desert!"

  • "Took the wife for a Valentine's dinner expecting an experience to remember. Ordered the Rib Eye and found it to be okay, but nothing extraordinary. Was surprised that it was accompanied by French fries...common and bland. Brussels sprouts and salad were top notch. On average, the meal was good. But not great."

  • "I celebrated Valentine's Day here with my boyfriend. My favorite part about 320 Main was the ambience. It was so beautiful and romantic. The food was okay, it could have been better. But overall, the place was good."

  • "We had a wonderful lunch at this casual spot. Service (Thanks, Austin!) was super accommodating and friendly and the duck fat fries and gravy were so yummy. To balance out the sin of the fries, have the delicious Ceasar-style kale salad!"

  • "Love this place! The food is beyond words! The cocktails are great, especially the Moscow Mule. They make their own ginger beer which make this drink the Best I've ever had!!!! The resturant is consistent , I've never been let down."

  • "My favorite neighborhood place just keeps getting better."

  • "We eat here all the time.....doesn't hurt that we can walk from our house. The menu is different enough to hold our interest all the time; they change it up occasionally and bring in new dishes. The food is delicious!! The handcrafted cocktails (don't miss the Harvest Moon) are the best I've had and they run a great Happy Hour. Also....order the blistered chilis!!"

  • "Our whole party had the fried chicken and french toast - delicious. The decaf was great and the drinks well made. For an appetizer we had mac and cheese with duck and it was awesome. Great food and interesting menu!"

  • "Service was very friendly. They seated us right away at a nice spot. The place was crowded but not over the top. Nice atmosphere, not too hip but not slobs. The food was very good. Its pretty expensive but its real good. It was a fun night. B"

  • "My friends suggested this restaurant for our ladies Xmas dinner. We wanted to dress up and go somewhere nice. The menu had changed since they had been there! It was very limited. There were a couple vegetarians in the group and they ordered the gnocchi, it was AWFUL! Very bland no flavor. They returned it with no hassle buy our bill still came out to over $275.00! Way over priced!"

  • "I know chefs like to be creative, but the menu now is too quirky with such a limited number of choices and no matter how delicious your modern version of bearnaise sauce is, the actual rib eye has to be a good quality rib eye which it was not."

  • "I wanted to give a smaller restaurant a chance and 320 came up short. I expected the steaks to be better and have some kind of starch to go with it.The steaks lacked seasoning and mine was over cooked. Next time I know to go to Mortons. Everything else was okay."

  • "The cocktails are unusual and sublime. Food is very good, too, and staff is outstanding."

  • "We tried this restaurant based on a friend's recommendation and we were not disappointed. The duck fat fries were sinfully good as was the shortrib. We went on a Wednesday and we were pleasantly surprised to find that it was half price wine night. The only shortfall was the rather limited desert list. My wife and I will be returning."
    Dined on 11/27/2013
  • "Good food, typical downtown Seal Beach parking nuttiness, coupled with a noisy room and amateurish service at this price range. We had an early (6PM) Saturday reservation and somehow they had somehow run out of the desert item on their menu we wanted to cap off our dinner - a ridiculous way to end a dinner house experience."
    Dined on 11/23/2013
  • "We have always loved 320 Main but lately every time we go there the menu has changed. It is now very limited, down to 7 or 8 entrees and a couple appetizers. In the future, we will probably just stop in for a cocktail and eat dinner somewhere else."
    Dined on 11/16/2013
  • "Food, drinks, service are all outstanding. They have really spectacular craft cocktails and an interesting menu. The staff are the best - friendly, knowledgeable, and they provide great service."

  • "Took a friend for her birthday and we enjoyed every moment! Had the Old Cuban cocktail - delicious! Had the goat cheese stuffed dates wrapped in bacon appetizer - again, delicious! We split the Caesar salad and the 12 oz ribeye with petite roasted potatoes - all terrific and not a bite left on the plate! The service was terrific - friendly, made good recommendations. The ambience of the place is just right - cozy and relaxed, but not too informal. It wasn't an inexpensive evening - but we were celebrating a friend's special day and so it was all good! Would definitely go back to celebrate another occasion,"

  • "We started with the bacon wrapped dates and duck fries, there was not much duck confit to go with the fries. I had the Prime rib sandwich/dip and my Boss had the fillet. He enjoyed the steak and spinich but the mash potatoes were just ok. My sandwich was greasy and felt like a brick. The meat was tender and tasty the bread not so much. I want to give 320 another try on thursday for prime rib night."

  • "We arrived early and piecemeal and the hostess and server were gracious and welcoming. We all had good dinners, even our one vegetarian who found salad and mac and cheese . Lot of beef here. all good. Our server, Kristen, was a mind reader and a pearl of great price. She made our evening delightful."
