Diner Reviews
  • "I'm so sorry to see one of my favorites loose the quality it had in the past. The affordable wines aren't very good, in my opinion, and the squash blossoms had too much batter on them."

  • "Upon being seated, & inspecting the menu my husband & I were hopeful that FINALLY we'd found a great restaurant in NM. Everything about our initial assessment pointed to an excellent evening of outstanding food. The menu read beautifully with thoughtful ingredients, & an authentic french vibe. The ambience was perfect, from the grapevines circling the patio to the carefully curated art inside. The food fell short. The broth in my stew was flavorful, but the shell fish was overcooked. My husband's pasta dish came out undercooked the first time, al dente the second time, but was accompanied by a sauce of mushy veggies. Service was excellent & we were comped a cherry pie dessert, but the bottom crust hadn't finished baking & was still doughy."

  • "We have not been to Santa Fe in several years however we did eat at this resturant last time we visited . We enjoyed it last time and decided to try again. The patio is lovely and quiet. I ordered the Halibut and it was delicious. For the dessert I had the Creme Brûlée and it was very good. My husband the trout pate for an appetizer and really enjoyed it. For his main course he ordered the Rabbit. It was good but a very small portion."

  • "Celebrated my birthday with friends. Delicious crab claws, steak au poivre, halibut and sticky toffee cake. Beautiful outdoor patio and bar inside. Louis Moskow is very kind, talented and has a winner with this fabulous Santa Fe Restaurant. Amazing and varied reasonably priced wine list!"

  • "Thanks for a lovely evening. Food, wine, service excellent. The woman manager keeps an eye on everything - excellent. Have you considered a locals discount? Love that we can dine and have a conversation without much noise."

  • "The service was very friendly, the ambiance was warm and inviting, the food was nicely presented and very good...I would definitely dine here again (this is a 4 only because there were no 5's in Santa Fe). However, the star of this experience was the excellent to outstanding wine list. The selection was varied and a 5 star part of this very good dining experience"

  • "We sat on the patio, early in the evening. Our server was Babs - she knows the menus ( both wine and food ) to perfection. She introduced us to a Spanish white that was perfect for the night. Every suggestion she made was spot on. The charcuterie plate ( all housemade ) that she suggested we start with was fabulous - they even make their own mustard! One of our party had the Fisherman's stew, which was excellent - flavorful broth filled with plump and juicy seafood. The rabbit terrine with cassis and fresh currants was perfect. And you can't miss the shrimp and grits! Yummy! All food and wine was excellent. I highly recommend 315!"

  • "Our first visit in some years. We found the overall experience to be quite pleasant; an excellent choice for a wedding anniversary. Although our table for two was on the small side, it turned out to be adequate. One pleasant surprise was that the bar menu was available throughout the day and items could be ordered along with the regular menu & posted specials. One of our party ordered the Shrimp & Grits in place of an appetizer and was very pleased. At $10. per, the desserts were on the high side, but the quality, at least for the one ordered, was excellent. The overall bill was less than anticipated, so for a special event in Santa Fe; we were well satisfied!"

  • "Enjoyed the dinner and being able to eat outside. Food was very good. Wine list is excellent. Would have appreciated if the owner had stopped to ask us how we liked everything. He had more interest in talking with a group who were celebrating someone's graduation. There was someone with him that spent her time talking with these people that she and the owner knew."

  • "A key element in enjoying a good meal is a knowledgeable and experienced wait person. Our was just that - from assistance in choosing a wine to perfect and gracious timing on each course she up leveled our meal. We started with blue point oysters - excellent, choose the beet, goat cheese salad and onion soup - perfect - entrée was the incredibly delicious Halibut with perfectly creamed spinach and carrots. Dessert - creme brûlée was disappointing - it might be me but let's step out of the box a little here and add ginger or anise or something interesting to the mix. Overall a lovely evening...."

  • "The restaurant was very pleasant, but for the price, the food fell short of excellent. I ordered Soft Shell Crabs and was assured they were the very large ones. They weren't. Also they were slightly more cooked than I would have liked and the Moroccan sauce served with them overshadowed the delicate ness of soft shells....an unfortunate pairing. However, the service was impeccable and friendly without being obtrusive"

  • "If you can poke holes in this place, you must know much more about food and wine than I. Everything was spot on. Service was phenomenal. The only downside was that you have to pay. A lavish french dinner for 2 with a bottle of wine under 200? Yes please."

  • "Disappointed in the food. Nothing was bad, but no part of either my wife's meal or mine was very good either."

  • "It was raining when we entered this warm cozy restaurant. Although the staff was helpful, they were never over the top. The waiter was always ready when we wanted him, but not overbearing or pushy. My wife had halibut that was sensational and I had a wonderful fish stew. We each had home made ice cream for dessert. It was delicious. All in all, this topped off a great weekend in Santa Fe. "

  • "Not precious food just great preparations of offerings on their daily chalk board or printed menu. The notable wine list covers all price points. If spirits are your cup of tea they have a small but up market selection to chose from and they have one of the best mixologist in Santa Fe if mixed drinks are your preference. Lastly, their wait staff is one of the best in town. "

  • "Mussels were amazingly tender with a broth that was delightful. Warm kale salad was heart-warming. Our wine could have used decanting. Cocktail menu was limited. Our waiter was fun or frustrating depending on your take. It's a small cozy place that we like to go back to."

  • "315 did not meet expectations. Certainly over-priced for very basic fair. Perhaps good for lunch or for simply wine and a nosh."

  • "The food that we ordered was burnt on one side which was not the presentation side. Server was going to bring bread never happened seemed to be more interested in the bartender than our table."

  • "Was recommended to us by the Concierge at the Hyatt Regency Tamaya Resort and Spa in Bernalillo. A bit pricey, but the food was very good and the wait staff was very friendly. Nice intimate atmosphere. The dessert we had (strawberry rhubarb tart) was not up to our expectations."

  • "As I arrived, I was excited by some of the items shown on their specials board. Note that the regular menu did not match the website. It seems to not be updated regularly. For a cocktail, I got the Calvados Cinnamon Sour. It tastes like cinnamon pears in a very homey way, but fresh also. The salad I ordered was billed as Warm Farmers Market Kale Salad with Lentils, Sunchokes, & Chickpea Fritters. The kale was well prepared and the dressing still captivates me. The lentils were a bit heavy for the dish and hard to eat with the kale. My entree was the Spaghetti Squash Crepes with Exotic Mushrooms. I would eat that all day long - the flavors were so complementary. In all, I enjoyed my meal and the friendly service - I would gladly return."

  • "We were in Santa Fe for a week, and we look for restaurants with both amazing food and wine. We have a fabulous dinner, and we had a 20 yr old CA cab. Service was wonderful, attentive but not rushed. We would most definitely go back, very cozy atmosphere. Great night, would highly recommend!"

  • "While I ordered "rack of lamb served with cassoulet" I received 2 lamb chops sitting on a full plate of , I guess pinto beans. WHen I made reference to the waiter that this was an odd rendition of cassoulet and certainly not the traditional white beans...he told me the kitchen may have taken some creative means of making it . It was not tasty ! Otherwise, his help with the wine selection was excellent. I would be hesitant to send friends until I try the restaurant again."

  • "This restaurant is always a sure thing! Great food, wine and most of all service!"
    Dined on 2/26/2014
  • "The food was mediocre overall. The ambience was destroyed by patrons nearby which included some functionary of the restaurant and the loud arguing then sharing of all the personal details of their lives that were of no consequence to a fellow diner. A poor show for the money."

  • "We generally like this restaurant, but our most recent experience was less than satisfactory. We were accompanied by out-of-town friends and were planning on a leisurely dinner, but our waiter seemed annoyingly impatient at the slowness with which we ordered and completed each course. A waiter's attention to his table is one thing, but in this case his constant reappearance was too much and detracted from the dining experience. Adding further to the poor ambience, he contributed to an already high noise level as he engaged in a lengthy and rather loud conversation with diners at a nearby table."

  • "But, the area that we were seated in was less than desirable..the space felt like a spillover space.. That needed opening up to the main area.. The food was fresh, delicious and well prepared.. We enjoyed every bite!"

  • "We went to 315 for Valentine's dinner. It was a prix fix menu. The choices were good, but we found the flavors to be ho-hum, predictable and disappointing. The host who seated us was somewhat aloof and we didn't feel welcomed. Our waitress was really good and the service was good too. My husband had the filet and he said it was just "ok". I had crab cakes which were anything but memorable, very little flavor and the veal breast - maybe I just made a poor choice, but it was a meat and potatoes meal. Our bill was over $200 so we were somewhat disappointed. Maybe trying it again, not on a holiday, we would get better results (but shouldn't one of the busiest dining nights be their best food?). Not sure if we will try it again."

  • "My husband and I love going to 315 for their wine dinners. The Chef does an incredible job with his pairings. The food is always interesting and pairs perfectly with the wines. Also his prices aren't ridiculous as are many wine dinners at restaurants in Santa Fe."

  • "The wine list, appetizers, and desserts were great. Both of our main dishes were just okay. It's Santa Fe though, it's hard to compare to Montreal's french food."

  • "Loved the relaxed and cozy feeling of the place it made you feel like home. Would definitely return and recommend to all my friends. The French Onion Soup was the Best I ever had. The Steak Frites was cooked to perfection and my Sister had the Seared Sea Scallops which was a Special for the evening and she said the dish was outstanding. Service was impeccable and you never felt rushed they made the dining experience very pleasant. My sister could not stop raving about their House Chardonnay from California she said it was the Best she ever had."

  • "I took one of my best friends for her combined Christmas and Birthday, we had a wonderful time, the food was good, wish there was more fois gras on the plate but what we got was great. It's good to see "other" items on the menu We both ordered the special bread pudding for dessert, I would love the recipe as I love bread pudding, reminds me of my grandmother"

  • "The restaurant itself is charming. The staff were somewhat aloof , even snooty, which definitely took away from the charm of the setting. The wine list was excellent and the dessert selections were very good but the entrees were disappointing. Entrees were just that and included no sides of vegetables other than potatoes. One of our party ordered steak whic was tough, topped with shoestring potatoes and included nothing else. It would have been nice if the servers had suggested or offered other side items. An attitude adjustment in staff is definitely in order."

  • "I have enjoyed 315 before. I went there for dinner on New Years Eve, a prix fixe @ $65 per three course dinner. The first course of sautéed mushrooms was enjoyable. I ordered the filet of sole for my entree. It was overcooked, mushy, tasteless, and served on a bed of equally unattractive greens and other things. Normally I would have sent it right back, but my companion (who was about to leave for a year) had already started on her food and it would have been awkward and annoying, so I just ate what I could. Filet of sole is tricky. If you can't do it , don't do it. The tab for the two of us was over $200. I expect more for that and I was disappointed with the whole experience."
