Right near all the theatres on Randolph St. and so close to all the government buildings on Washington. Valet Park for just $13. Service is fast and friendly. All the Italian meals prepared top-notch. Priced very moderate. Extensive wine list, but we saved money by bringing our own bottle, with chilled bucket service provided. Reminds me of so many New York eateries, convenient and tasty. Upper level rooms classy tables and directly connects to the Hotel Allegro Hotel with its fancy Deco lobby and warm charm. We will make this our go to restaurant from now on whenever we are in the Loop!

We had a marvelous meal with attentive service on a holiday weekend(frequently a problem in the city). The scallops and carpaccio were an excellent start. My salmon was grilled just right and my husband's pork was a flavorful huge portion. The chocolate torte dessert was excellent.

I stayed at the hotel allegro so as far as convenience to location and a last minute reservation it worked out great. They had a pretty big wine list and the waiters and staff were friendly. It was advertised that the pasta was fresh and homemade but it tasted like it was previously frozen. I would probably only come back if it was because of a convenience to wherever I was staying.

We sit at the Chef's Bar all the time. Sous Chef Juan and his crew are amazingly talented and thoroughly entertaining. The menu, including the wine, is thoughtful, tasty, fresh, and full of complexity. The service is extraordinary, knowledgable, and thorough. Nothing pretentious….just a great restaurant with a great staff.

Always great food and service They have a three course special which is worthwhile although I have to cut my portions in half. What I take home gets eaten by my girlfriend Never see it in the refrig past the next morning They have a spot along the north side were you can sit No music or distractions from other diners. My hearing ain't what it used to be so I need the ability to hear someone talk without a lot of ambiant noise.

312 Chicago - Par Excellence! We were a small party of four to celebrate our son and daughter-in-law's 1st anniversary. We were greated and treated with welcoming respect and good humor. Chef Luca Corazzina never fails to delight with his cullinary mastery. The scallops with mango salsa appetizer - to die for. My son and I ordered the dry aged strip steak special - perfection. My husband was quite happy with his Salmone as was my daughter-in-law with the Bucatini. Our server, Sal, was impeccable in every way and has a wonderful sense of humor! I love that 312 has partnered with the Bear Necessities Pediatric Cancer Foundation for their tennis shoes campaign. Bring is tennies and get a free dessert! We will be back!!!

We enjoyed a truly excellent experience recently at 312 Chicago. Located very near the Civic Opera House and other theaters this restaurant features a beautifully appointed dining area with a quiet atmosphere. The service was friendly and not intrusive but very attentive. The wines were all very well suited to the food and the food itself was worth the visit. They took care of vegan needs very well so each of us had a marvelous meal. I highly recommend it for a nice quiet dinner experience and for groups up to 6 from what I saw. They may have larger areas upstairs so I cannot speak for that.

Three people in my party said that the steak was the best they have had. I had risotto which was the special and although it was good it was very filling. I would recommend it as an appetizer instead. One person in our party had the octopus and said it was very tender. There was plenty of bread with a great dipping olive oil and spice sauce. The restaurant couldn't accommodate our party of 9 but we sat 6 at one table and three at a table next to us which worked out fine. I would definitely recommend and return.

Stayed at the Alleggro and discovered through Open Table reviews that the adjacent restaurant was supposed to be good. I normally go wandering the neighborhood and don't eat in hotels, but the reviews said it was good....and it was. Creative dishes and excellent service, especially from Chuck. Reasonable priced for a downtown hotel as well. On my 2nd night I was going to eat somewhere different, but with the hour and my good experience the night prior, I broke one of my rules in travelling and went back.

We ate here prior to seeing Brigadoon on a Saturday. Our waiter Eric was outstanding. i have an allergy to nuts and he offered alternatives to the preparation of the different menu items. He was very attentive during our visit and put us at ease regarding getting to the show. The food was delicious. I had the tortellini and my wife had the risotto. The flourless chocolate cake for desert hit the spot. During the meal, my wife spilled some chocolate sauce on her white sweater. She was trying to wipe it off with a napkin and the manger quickly came over and brought some seltzer water to clean it. Its little things like this, that show you how important it is for them to make it a special dining experience

I surprised my husband with tickets to the Motown Musical at the Oriental Theater right down the street. I was looking for a restaurant that was close enough to walk. What a great find!! 312 Chicago felt perfect the minute we walked in with wonderful smiles and greetings. The food was delicious, we opted for the full course meal with a dessert that was scrumptious. The ambiance is that of a 5 star restaurant, with wonderful service from making sure our water glasses were full to timing our courses perfectly. We were on time for Motown and 312 Chicago made it a perfect evening. I'm not sure my husband can top this one!!!
