  • "Went with an old friend for restaurant week. The ambiance is charming - food delicious and the service was outstanding - we never felt rushed but were taken care of by our waiter. Had the Goat Cheese and Hummus appetizer, Hanger steak ( cooked perfectly) and the lemon and chocolate dessert - we especially enjoyed the wine selections included in their restaurant week menu!"

  • "As usual the food was quite good, & the service was even better. This seems to be an excellent location for a special occasion. The atmosphere is quite good also."

  • "This is a great restaurant in the heart of Dilworth that consistently serves excellent meals. Their restaurant menu featured items from their regular menu, but portion sizes remained plentiful. The Fall salad with the port-soaked cherries and goat cheese is a winner and the guys in our party were very happy with their steak and horseradish sauce. The desserts were good, but left something to be desired when compared to the rest of the meal."

  • "We visit 300 East frequently although it is a drive from where we live. It is our favorite before airport delivery and after airport pickup dining spot with our many visitors."

  • "My wife and I stayed in the Dilworth area for a week and while walking around the neighborhood we saw this place. After doing a little research we figured it would be a fun place to have a date night during our stay. 300 East lived up to all the wonderful reviews and we could not have been more pleased with our meal. They seated us immediately, we had a knowledgeable and attentive waitress who was able to provide detailed explanations and answered all of our questions. The food came out in a timely manner while still being very fresh and delicious. Overall it was a great experience that was superior to the more sterile atmospheres that you find in Uptown corporate owned establishments."

  • "The menu is diverse enough to appeal to both the hard core breakfast eaters, and those of us who like the lunch part of brunch, and aren't big fans of eggs and waffles. Fun atmosphere and great service. There's a good reason why 300 East is one of the longest running Dilworth standouts."

  • "Great food and ambiance. Service was a little slow but wasn't a big deal for us as we were charmed by the ambiance."

  • "We have been going to 300 East for several years and the food as well as the service is always fantastic. I would highly recommend 300 East to anyone that has not tried it....you will NOT be disappointed."

  • "First, the Beignets are more like fried doughnut holes... not very tasty either. I ordered the Grits Bowl which was good, but not very difficult to make. The latte's were OK, but vey small. The services was not only slow, but average for friendliness... we got a smile at the end of our meal, I assume in hopes of a great tip- too late. I doubt I will be visiting 300 East again."

  • "Food was fantastic, but service was lacking. We waited for our food for literally an hour. Waiter came back 45 minutes after taking our order, and asked us "what exactly it was we ordered again?" Thankfully we were in no hurry, but as a server at a restaurant myself, I found that to be a bit sad. Man with fedora, please write down orders from here on out. Other than that, everything was great, and I will certainly be returning."

  • "300 East is a good standby. Especially on Sun. & Wed when wine by the bottle is 1/2 price. Good food usually well, prepared"

  • "Amazing in every way from the hostess to the waiter to the food. I loved everything about this restaurant and I'll definitely be back!"

  • "My husband and I have eaten at 300 East many times and always enjoyed a delicious, QUIET meal. That is the reason we recommended it for our "Dining Out Group" when it was our turn to select a restaurant. The other two couples had never been to 300 East but all said they liked the food and enjoyed the ambiance! There was one disappointing thing - namely the noise level was much louder than I ever recall and our group which likes to talk quietly had to shout to each other to be heard. This condition may have been due to it being very crowded on a Thursday evening (7:00 pm reservation)."

  • "A great place to dine. Located in a renovated 2 story house the ambience is great. The food is very tasty and moderately priced. The service is prompt with servers familiar with the menus, ready to provide helpful suggestions. Will definitely return when back in Charlotte."

  • "Recently went for brunch and was impressed by the special menu, very creative! The brunch menu covered the spread and easily made it difficult to decide. Looking forward to returning soon. Service was a little slow at first while he wrapped up brunch rush, but improved throughout."

  • "The only not great thing I have to say is that the service was a little bit slow. It was Sunday @ 12 for Father's Day brunch so I know they were busy, but our server was not the best service I've gotten there. It will not keep me from returning!"
    Dined on 6/15/2014
  • "Good, different choices for brunch. Large portions. Called to change reservation prior to date. They were very nice about doing that."

  • "Excellent selection and conducive for couple conversations. Definitely recommend."

  • "My boyfriend and I came to 300 east for a fun date night. We made reservations and arrived on time. We were taken upstairs for our table. The hostess left without asking if the table was ok. We were sat between the railing that overlooks downstairs and a column wall. It was not a very good table as we had a wall to look at or we had the railing. It would have been nice to make sure that heights did not bother the person sitting next to the edge. My boyfriend ordered a cup of soup and the filet. The soup arrived cold after a bit if a wait. The filet was good. I ordered the sweet potato ravioli which was amazing. The service was lacking as we were both out of drink for most of the meal. Over all the food is good; the service bad."

  • "Overall the experience was pretty good, but not as good as previous visits to this location."

  • "This is a 3rd visit to 300 East and another good experience. There were 6 of us in a group and 4 of us chose the mahi mahi special. It was quite good, lightly seasoned and flavorable. The jasmine rice had that nice chewy texture like when it is fixed properly. The service was friendly and attentive. I recommend this place for first dates as it was quiet enough to carry on a conversation, and the atmosphere is relaxing."
    Dined on 6/10/2014
  • "Casual ambiance with upscale cuisine. Service was unpretentious and efficient. My server was very knowledgable on all things menu - both food and drink. Very enjoyable meal."

  • "300 East is always wonderful - our favorite casual dining spot in Charlotte."

  • "The food was wonderful! Four people in our party, and we all enjoyed everything that we ordered. The service was great! It's a beautiful place - quaint, in an old house. I wish we had asked for an outside table because the noise level was a little too high for us. Other than that, a perfect evening."

  • "The house is intriguing, so there's no lack of interesting things to look at! We were seated upstairs, which had a fun view, but was a little hard to converse because of the acoustics. The wine selection was great, and the draft beers included several unique/local taps, which was also nice. Our food took quite a while to arrive, but it was tasty and just enough portion-wise. I totally enjoyed my dish (pork tenderloin with warm cannelini bean salad), but thought that its flavor could really have used some enhancement. My husband's burger was also composed nicely, but lacked a little flavor/moisture. My favorite part was by far the caramel drizzled brownie and coffee that we had for dessert....INCREDIBLE! We'll definitely return!"

  • "Love 300 East....great food, attentive service, location is handy....the only downside is the noise level -- so loud it was a challenge to hear my dinner companions across the table"
    Dined on 5/28/2014
  • "Try the crab cakes for brunch. Yummy! Enjoy outdoor bistro dining under patio umbrellas. 300 East is still outstanding after all these years. "
    Dined on 5/25/2014
  • "This has been one of my favorite "regular go-to" spots since the early nineties. The food is always good, my husband enjoys it and it's the perfect place for a girls' dinner. Casual enough to go anytime, but the food is sophisticated and never disappoints. (Ahi tuna Salad is my favorite)"
    Dined on 5/20/2014
  • "There are few places that let the food showcase their flavors without adding too many ingredients, and 300 east may be my favorite of all them. The grass fed burger is simple, with a limit of two toppings (more for a charge), but you don't need more. Allow yourself to taste the balance of the meat with simple toppings. The ahi tuna burger....may be my favorite tuna burger...ever. They add ginger, seaweed salad, and a nice aoili that is the perfect messy perfection. The roasted goat cheese app. is another simple starter, I just wish it were bigger - but that's the fatty in me. "

  • "Everything was wonderful. I really enjoyed my lunch and so did everyone at my table. I loved that we were able to make a reservation for Sunday brunch! We will most definitely be back again!"
    Dined on 5/18/2014
  • "AS usual, with an Open Table reservation, we were seated immediately upon arriving. The service was a little slow, but that was due to being a packed house. Food is, as always, excellent."
    Dined on 5/18/2014
  • "We enjoyed apps, entree, wine A great menu with lots of creativity We had a great time in a quiet little part of Charlotte. There are great restaurants in the city but parking can be an issue, so we were pleasantly surprised with easy on street parking and great food in a quiet neighborhood setting"

  • "Our first experience at 300 East was mediocre at best. Our table was situated in such a way that I was looking into the kitchen every time the door opened which is one of my biggest pet peeves. Secondly, our waiter was friendly and polite, but was awful at his job. He never told us about the specials, never suggested an appetizer and never asked if we would like a salad. The food and drinks were good. I will try it again for lunch, but will probably never go back for dinner."

  • "We eat there for Mother's Day and it exceeded my expectation. Their was not an empty plate at our table. The presentation of the food was perfect. We will come back but this time, we will not wait for a holiday "
