I went to 300 East for a special occasion lunch this week and it is a good place to impress someone with. I didn't get to far into the menu because the specials sounded so good. However it is a bit pricey though. She had a wrap and fruit cup, I had the coconut salad and with two sodas the bill was $34 before tip. It is a fine restaurant with nice service, but will be a place I visit regularly.

Nice quite, small dining area but not crowded. Food is well prepared, general but not anything unusual. I saw a few nice looking drink selections but did not try. Great for sharing a quiet meal with a few friends where you won't be hurried.

My boyfriend and I dined at 300 East on a Saturday evening. We started with the sweet potato ravioli with the gorgonzola cream, which was phenomenal. We also started with cups of the lentil and roasted garlic soup, which was really flavorful and delicious. He got the coconut prawns with curry, which was very good and a nice portion size. I ordered the Spanish pizza, which was wonderful and a little spicy, but rather large (just boxed it up for the next day for lunch :) We finished with the brownie, which was probably the best brownie I've ever had, and the chocolate-honey sauce was subtle and added a nice touch. The waitstaff was attentive and we had a great dining experience.

I was there for my birthday, so they did bring me a very rich brownie with a birthday candle and they presented me with the flowers that my friend had brought for me. Our server was fantastic, and so was the food. It was a little pricey but well worth it. The atmosphere is quaint, comfortable and sophisticated. I would definitely come here again.

300 East is literally a old house remodeled into a restaurant. The ambience is perfect at night. The dim lighting and seclusion of each table is perfect. We sat upstairs right next to the Bannister overlooking downstairs. Our waitress was very attentive and very personable. My fiancé and I tried the French Onion Soup as a starter and it was delicious!! Our food was cooked to our specifications and was very very tasty. I would highly recommend this restaurant to other couples and look forward to our next trip to 300 East!

We've always had a very good experience here. Great location and building add a lot to the experience. Food is very good. Service is always friendly but can be slow at times. They do need to work on their Bloody Mary mix. We recommend 300 East to friends and always look forward to our next visit. Do make reservations.

Beans was our server. She was, as she always is, knowledgeable about the evening specials, drink pairings, and fun. She is relaxed and professional and shares the perfect amount of information and personal opinion that allows us to make the best choice for the evening. Your long-standing staff is fantastic - they just have a "300 East" flair that cannot be taught - they either have it or they don't! The food was delicious and we love the room. We come for special celebratory meals and any time we want a great meal in a great restaurant. Many thanks!

Had a reservation for brunch and we were seated upstairs (which should be avoided). Service was fine, food was not hot - more like room temperature and my dining companions poached eggs were cooked as hard as a tennis ball. I have been here dozens of times, and this was my worst experience by far.

I've been going to this restaurant since 2006 and it has always been a place I can count on. Good service, cozy & friendly ambiance, good food. I took my mom for Saturday lunch and the food was good although I think the service was a little slower than usual - probably the fact that my mom asked for the onion soup, which I think takes them a little longer to make. As usual, the Fall salad with chicken and the sweet potator ravioli were delectable. My favorite part of 300 was the creme brulee - bring it back! By the way, for those of you who like outside seating, the garden is terrific!

I have been going to 300 E. for many years. The food is always excellent and the service is good. the ambience is wonderful because it's in a house not a cold structure. The sautéed spinach is excellent. I've been to many expensive restaurants and had sauté spinach and their spinach pails when compared to 300 E.

We visited 300 East over the weekend. Overall, a great meal! I was super pleased with all the gluten free choices on their menu. They even offered gluten free crackers instead of the pita points with the Roasted Goat Cheese dish, which was amazing, by the way! Had a delicious bacon-wrapped filet and finished with a piece of gluten free cheesecake. Meal was perfect in EVERY Way! Thank you, 300 East!

I visited on a Tuesday evening with two friends. It was my first visit and I immediately liked the cozy, at-home feel of the place. Nothing fancy, just a warm and intimate feel. We didn't feel rushed at all, and our server was knowledgeable about the wine and menu. The crabcake was very tasty and cooked to a lovely golden brown. I thought it was odd to serve with mashed potatoes and they did not taste homemade. But the sauteed onions and squash were perfectly cooked. My friends gave thumbs up to the burger and chicken tortilla. I will definitely go back and sample another dish.

This was my 2nd experience at 300 East. It is my girlfriends favorite restaurant and she has been there many times. I took her there for the 1 year Anniversary of our first date. The food was great as always. When I made the reservation, I asked for a quiet, romantic table to celebrate our special occasion. However, what we got was quite the opposite. When we arrived, they tried to seat us at a table right in the middle of the dining room. When I asked for something else, they put us at a table near the front outside wall, which would have been better if not for the screaming baby next to us!! We may go back occasionally just because of the food is very good, but we will plan our more quiet, special occasions somewhere else from now on.

This restaurant always has great menu items. Our party of four had a great table towards the front of the house at the large windows; the ambiance is fantastic. We started with a crab cake appetizer, which was a little smaller than expected, but very tasty; the remoulade is perfect compliment to the crab. My father had the crab legs special and was very satisfied - he is used to large portions and didn't complain. Mom had the hangar steak, which was cooked perfectly. My wife had the fish tacos, which were very nice and quite full of fish. I enjoyed the grilled shrimp and BLT panini, which was cooked perfectly and very tasty, although I will probably try something different next time. We'll be back.
