I've been going to this restaurant since 2006 and it has always been a place I can count on. Good service, cozy & friendly ambiance, good food. I took my mom for Saturday lunch and the food was good although I think the service was a little slower than usual - probably the fact that my mom asked for the onion soup, which I think takes them a little longer to make. As usual, the Fall salad with chicken and the sweet potator ravioli were delectable. My favorite part of 300 was the creme brulee - bring it back! By the way, for those of you who like outside seating, the garden is terrific!

I have been going to 300 E. for many years. The food is always excellent and the service is good. the ambience is wonderful because it's in a house not a cold structure. The sautéed spinach is excellent. I've been to many expensive restaurants and had sauté spinach and their spinach pails when compared to 300 E.

I went to eat here and it took over 30 minutes to even get my order in. Then seeing that my bill was what I would expect at a lunch in Paris I go out to see that my car was broken into. Not alone was that bad but I called the police 3 times each claiming to be there in 15 minutes and ended up leaving the scene with my smashed window after and hour and a half of waiting for police that weren't going to show up. Lets just say Im not going back there any time soon.

A group of 15 ladies and I met for brunch at 300 East. The reservation process was easy, the service was spectacular and the food delightful. The only complaint was the seating was a bit tight and we could have used a bit more room. But overall a lovely experience!

We had a great time and great service. The food was very well prepared and well presented. I have some food allergies, which I noted in my reservation and the manager actually called me to check with me the morning of our reservations. Now that's great customer service! I enjoyed my meal without any fear of coming across my allergens and we had a great evening!

We visited 300 East over the weekend. Overall, a great meal! I was super pleased with all the gluten free choices on their menu. They even offered gluten free crackers instead of the pita points with the Roasted Goat Cheese dish, which was amazing, by the way! Had a delicious bacon-wrapped filet and finished with a piece of gluten free cheesecake. Meal was perfect in EVERY Way! Thank you, 300 East!

I visited on a Tuesday evening with two friends. It was my first visit and I immediately liked the cozy, at-home feel of the place. Nothing fancy, just a warm and intimate feel. We didn't feel rushed at all, and our server was knowledgeable about the wine and menu. The crabcake was very tasty and cooked to a lovely golden brown. I thought it was odd to serve with mashed potatoes and they did not taste homemade. But the sauteed onions and squash were perfectly cooked. My friends gave thumbs up to the burger and chicken tortilla. I will definitely go back and sample another dish.

This was my 2nd experience at 300 East. It is my girlfriends favorite restaurant and she has been there many times. I took her there for the 1 year Anniversary of our first date. The food was great as always. When I made the reservation, I asked for a quiet, romantic table to celebrate our special occasion. However, what we got was quite the opposite. When we arrived, they tried to seat us at a table right in the middle of the dining room. When I asked for something else, they put us at a table near the front outside wall, which would have been better if not for the screaming baby next to us!! We may go back occasionally just because of the food is very good, but we will plan our more quiet, special occasions somewhere else from now on.

This restaurant always has great menu items. Our party of four had a great table towards the front of the house at the large windows; the ambiance is fantastic. We started with a crab cake appetizer, which was a little smaller than expected, but very tasty; the remoulade is perfect compliment to the crab. My father had the crab legs special and was very satisfied - he is used to large portions and didn't complain. Mom had the hangar steak, which was cooked perfectly. My wife had the fish tacos, which were very nice and quite full of fish. I enjoyed the grilled shrimp and BLT panini, which was cooked perfectly and very tasty, although I will probably try something different next time. We'll be back.

300 East has been around for a very long time, and not once have I ever had a meal there that disappointed. They have a menu which combines long time favorites with new, creative items. The Usual sandwich is a favorite with many customers. What I like is the farro and kale salad with shrimp on top. It is an entrée and is hot and delicious. I felt healthy eating it but was full at the end. They did a great job helping us celebrating a birthday. The lemon polenta dessert is outstanding.

Our experience at 300 East was an attempt to experience something other than chain restaurants while in Charlotte. We succeeded. The for was what I'd call American cuisine with flair. The salmon, pork loin and filet were delicious. Unlike some restaurants, our waiter did not seem disappointed when we said we did not want cocktails, but instead suggested the Meyer lemonade, which was delicious. We also sat and visited longer than we should have when we were done eating, and never felt rushed. Delightful place!
