30 Boltwood - The Lord Jeffery InnAnniversary DinnerWe went for our anniversary. The moment the staff found out they brought us champagne - on the house. A lovely touch. The meal was fantastic - delicious beet salad and scallops for the entree. Fresh bread from a great local bakery. We moved on to martinis. The staff was wonderful in helping us to select from their refreshingly eclectic gins. We had never heard of Blue Coat before and although we did not choose it, we were offered a sample and the waiter brought over the bottle to read the description. Staff could not have been more attentive - the food and beverage manager also came over to wish us well. Dessert was most graciously on the house given our celebration. It was a splendid blend of fine, fine food and attention.5/26/2013 12:00:00 AMHappy CelebrationWe went to 30 Boltwood to celebrate a college graduate and graduation. The family has mixed tastes and dietary restrictions and there was not just something for everyone, but choices left untried for everyone. The service was prompt, the server was friendly and helpful, the food was excellent. Between all of us, a small group of 6, we tried several of the main courses, starters, drinks, sides, and desserts. No complaints, lots of mmmmm's. I hope we get a chance to visit again now that our student moves aways from Amherst and may even detour to be able to eat there again when traveling.5/18/2013 12:00:00 AMBest appetizer bar ever!We had a wonderful time! The food was great and the people all around us were friendly. Mom had a great Mother's Day and we all had an enjoyable time. This is now one of my favorite places. LOVE the appetizer bar! You would think that the area would boast more, but there are only a couple of places in town that won't disappoint a person wanting a professional sit-down dinner. Good wine and cocktails, very professional staff and a great menu that is well executed. All without relying on disappointing Tapas-style stingy portions! Good things come at a price - and in this case it is a fair one. I have been to the restaurant 5 or 6 times and have left very happy each time. This last occasion was a dinner for a visiting faculty and we had great food over great discussion. We were not rushed and the evening was perfect.5/3/2013 12:00:00 AMLoads of wine bottles pricedLoads of wine bottles priced at $35. The food was excellent. Dessert was lacking anything chocolate the night we were there but the rice pudding was good. Can't wait to go back.4/13/2013 12:00:00 AMOur waitress was terrificOur waitress was terrific and gave us insight into the college we were looking at as she was a graduate.
The Food was deliciouse as I was looking for a nice fish and vegetables and our teen had a perfect chicken dinner
