  • "The food was average, but good. Had the chicken parm and while you got 2 big breasts, the breading was heavy and the marinara sauce clashed with the alfredo sauce on the pasta. The ahi tuna was good although the seed crust has a bit of a burnt taste to it. Best part was the blueberry limencello martini! While it's a nice restaurant, we will probably not go back as too many other offerings in the culinary arena."

  • "We had the special which was red snapper w pineapple salsa served on top of zucchini and lime rice. The red snapper was cooked perfectly the salsa was ok but not special at all then there was the lime rice which was pretty terrible and reminded me of minute rice. I honestly don't think that this meal was worth the money. Our server was pretty good and the recent looked nice. We just weren't impressed with the food we were served."

  • "Having tickets to hear jazz artist Brian Culbertson at the Civic Theater, we were looking for a place nearby to eat. We based our choice on distance, menu and the reviews that we read. I could not find a single person among our friends who had ever heard of it much less eaten there. My wife had Chicken Parmesan which was excellent. The portion was large enough for two. I had a herbed chicken with a balsamic reduction that was even better. The presentation was beautifully done showing a level of artistry that was evident in the food itself. This contrasted with a terrible food experience in Cleveland's Little Italy the following night. Way to go Akron."

Homemade mushroom soup - delicious, white French dressing superb on salad with pears cranberries and walnuts, tremendously enjoyed both salmon and chicken Parmesan entrees. Could taste fresh oregano! Our server was very attentive and if we had room, definitely would have ordered a homemade dessert!"

  • "My boyfriend and I went to 3 Point for the first time, and we both fell in love. The appetizers and main entrees were amazing, as were the desserts, which are prepared fresh each day. The martinis were delicious, and there were many different ones to choose from. Our service was outstanding as well! Our waitress was very helpful and attentive. We both definitely look forward to going back!"

  • "Had dinner at 3 Point on a weeknight. It was a smallish crowd that evening. Salads were outstanding and very fresh. Entrees were very good as well. Our waitress was very friendly and outgoing. What didn't match the overall experience was the table covers. They had a padded vinyl covering to them which was in our view high-end dinerish. My guess is that the primary reason for the surface is ease of cleaning but it left my wife and I very flat. It just didn't match the higher level of food and service. Either tablecloths (I know, more expensive to use) or glass or wood would've given the place a much better look or feel. Maybe it seems a little nitpicky. The covers just seem totally out of place given the rest of the overall experience."

However, it was not a busy night and our sever was not attentive or timely with our order. I would say overall the wait staff was great since the other servers were great, but we just had a dud."

My disappointment is with the menu itself...you wouldn't know it's now summer from the choices on offer. I mean really - orange glazed duck breast as one of the lightest dishes on the menu? (And it IS.) Could we lighten up a bit, please?"

  • "I've been here before in the past a few times. Every time I came it was awesome, but not this time. My waitress was very nonchalant. For whatever reason she felt that we wanted our child's food to come out with the appetizer. I ordered the salmon. My salmon came out half cooked. The waitress insisted the manager said it was cooked medium as described in the menu. The menu says nothing about the salmon bring cooked medium. She seemed as though she just didn't care. She didn't even attempt to make it right. She was going to take my food, give me a bill and keep it moving. The manager did come to our table and apologized. The salmon was taken off the bill. I think he just wanted us out. It was Friday the 13th and a full moon that night."

The Burger was exceptional, the bun did not buckle under the weight of the sandwich, and for a restaraunt burger that is awesome. "

  • "We were only in Akron for the night and had checked out our dining options via OpenTable and wanted a meal that was good but not too pricey. Well I can honestly say it was amazing from the drinks, to the service, to the food. You've got to try the Blueberry Limoncello drink and the we loved the porcini ravioli and the ny strip in a peppercorn Demi-glaze. The server was knowledgeable and friendly and was great at recommending dishes. He also did a great job at explaining the meals and when he did not know he was very willing to go ask the chef. So glad we did not go to the higher priced restaurant next door. I heard it was good but for the price 3point is better. "

  • "Second time at 3 Point and it was as good as the first. The only disappointment was that the lamb chops were delivered cold. The taste was excellent, but they must not have been under a heat lamp while waiting for the other meals to be finished. Lamb is their signature dish and more attention should have been paid to the temperature."

  • "My husband and I have eaten at 3-point a few times now and I've always enjoyed myself. The menu is diverse enough to offer interesting picks for me, as well as meat and potatoes for my husband. I hate dropping $60-70 for cookie cutter options at a chain restaurant and 3-point is a great alternative for a casual dinner out. During our most recent visit we received great service, but we experienced questionable service in the past (friendly, but incompetent). The food is very good for the price. For the under 30 crowd (I'm 30) or single crowd, this is probably a great bar scene. I enjoyed a fun cocktail and relaxed feel from the server - no rush to get us out. We'll surely visit again and keep it a regular on our local restaurant circuit."

The duck and tuna were good but not outstanding Service was somewhat slow and not very friendly. There are better places to eat in Akron."

  • "Following the recommendations of Open Table raters, we dined at 3 Point last Saturday. Olympia, an owner/chef, walked us to our table selling us the entire way in her personal favorites, most of which she had her hands in making. We tried them all with no disappointments. The lamb chops are perfect seasoned and grilled, and the peanut butter banana pie was to die for. Our waiter was timely and fun, much like the vibe from the whole place. Great spot and we will return."

  • "Have been to 3 Point several times and always loved everything about it. Authentic, not too fussy, Olympia's homemade desserts - just makes me want to see a place like this succeed. This time, the service was less than spectacular, the mahi was overcooked, and the staff was moving tables and chairs around while we were dining, which created a horrible scraping noise on the floor. I hope this was a fluke - I really liked this place. Will give it one more change. On a positive note, the scallops were yummy and the 3 Point salad is always delicious."

  • "Arrived to find private lot full, valet lot full, no on street parking. Had to park a few blocks away in a parking garage; this made for a very cold walk to the restaurant. Had a reservation & was there on time; however had to wait almost an hour for a table. When we were finally seated, it took awhile for any one to wait on us. The food was good but I can get similar good food at other restaurants without all the hassle."

  • "Overall 3 out of 5. Considering it being Valentine's Day weekend, it was very busy and many people were out trying to avoid the previous days rush. Our waiter was very kind and kept our glasses full, no problem with service. The food was sub-par and the lack of a side salad being included in our Entree had me from the get go. I would recommend 3 point to friend with the hope that going on a "regular" day rather than near a holiday would leave a better impression."

  • "When arrived we were pointed in the direction to where are table was and not actually seated by anyone......not very welcoming I would have to say. Drink orders took about 15 minutes to come to the table. Server seamed very busy as I watched her juggle about 4-5 tables this may have been the cause to slow serves. Appetizers came to the table quit fast however after it took about 45minutes to receive our meals. We sat with dirty silverware and empty water glasses for some time. Food was wonderful which did add to the evening!! And we did end on a sweet note with a delicious piece of cheese cake. I would suggest smaller sections for better and more efficient serves. Lastly a managers visit would have been appreciated. Needs fine tuning!!"

  • "Food and service was terrific! The herb crusted bread was delicious. Our appetizers were the crab cake and artichoke dip . We also had the tomato soup. Simply the best tomato soup we have ever had. The lamb was tender and nicely seasoned. The sea bass entree with the lime rice was wonderful. The banana cream pie and cannoli were yummy! The mother of one of the owners makes the soups and desserts, and boy can she cook! Service couldn't have been better. We had a very friendly and knowledgeable server. Highly recommend 3 point! Can't wait to go back!"

  • "Our dining experience at 3 Point was perfect. We were greeted and seated promptly. Our waiter was attentive, knowledgeable of the menu, and took great care to accommodate our special requests. The drinks were exceptional as was the food. The stuffed pepper appetizer was delicious as were the caprese and wedge salads. For entrees I ordered the Mahi and Scallops and my husband the strip steak, the food presentation was exquisite and the taste was to die for. You must order dessert, but you may have a problem deciding which one to try, they all looked and sounded delicious. We ordered the peanut butter pie, best we have had, and the chocolate peanut butter brownie, which was sinfully decadent. We will definitely dine at 3 Point again."

  • "The hostess was really not very friendly--kind of grumpy, actually--so our initial welcome to the restaurant was off-putting. Our server could not remember our easy cocktail order. She came back and asked again. Soup and salad came at the same time. Entrees came out immediately after that, but the weird thing is that a server brought us bread and butter with the entrees, then our own server came and took it to another table! We heard other servers asking their tables if they wanted warm bread with their salads. We were never asked. The pacing of service was just odd. Overall, tasty food, especially the mushroom soup. But the vinyl table covers have to go. I don't think we'll be back. I liked the food. But the experience was......weird."

  • "We expected much more from this restaurant. Our party of four was unanimously disappointed. While the appetizers were pretty good--mediterranean lamb chops, "chips" and calamari--the entrees were just acceptable and the dessert was just average. We had read that the desserts won accolades; not so in our combined opinions. I'm sorry we were not enthusiastic since this place is near to all of us and we would frequent it often if it had been better."
