  • "This has always been a beautiful restaurant but our two previous experiences some years ago were disappointing food-wise. Their French chef now prepares delicious and innovative meals, artistically presented."

  • "My wife and I went to 2941 for the first time this weekend ... I had the venison; she had the halibut ... We shared the mushroom tartine ... And the asparagus caesar ... Wow! ... We will be coming back year after year after year :)"

  • "Had a party of 8 so we tried a variety of dishes. Everyone thought their food was inventive and tasty - something you would want from a restaurant like this. Even the past dishes had that something ext a to them to separate from the regular fare."

  • "We had an awesome lunch. The food service and ambience exceeded expectations"

  • "Amazing spot in Northern Virginia. Plates are pricey but worth every single bite. I recommend to eat a light entree and save room for dessert! The dessert menu is creative and a gastronomic experience!"

  • "I choose this place at random after a quick google search & was not disappointed! The Duck was cooked to perfection, our waiter Alexander was top notch, and the atmosphere was breath taking."

  • "My husband and I went for dinner thanks to our son who sent a gift certificate for my birthday. We had been wanting to try it, and we're so glad we did! Beautiful setting, great cocktails and a superb meal. The halibut was just delicious. Dessert was a butterscotch blondie with a pudding and was to die for. Will definitly be going again."

  • "For the finest, truly suburban dining, 2941 is the best and brightest. The food is daring, beautifully presented, and perfectly prepared. The staff is the perfect blend of posh and affable; they are attentive without being irritating, professional, and knowledgeable. The art they've put up in recent years is a bit too "Yellow Submarine" for my taste (I miss the Rodin.) but the views are still spectacular and there's still some fine art on the walls, far better than your standard restaurant art. The price is also excellent, considering what you get. Definitely worth the trip."

  • "We had not been to 2941 in years because it had gotten "ordinary," but word on the street was that it had really upped its game recently, and we had an incredible, EXTRAORDINARY meal to celebrate my wife's birthday. Subtle, distinctive flavors, impeccable service, casually elegant ambiance...it was a true five star dining experience in every way. We look forward to returning in the very near future!"

  • "Really, you can go, get an appetizer, then order the entire dessert menu and walk away amazed. The pastry chef just recently won an award, and it was every bit deserved."

  • "My husband and I were visiting Alexandria for the weekend. My web research found this spot. Our gps first brought us to an executive park but a phone call beamed is into this lovely location. Dramatic contemporary atmosphere with soaring ceilings and windows overlooking beautiful landscaping. Our waiter was attentive and helped us make good choices. The food was artistically created and presented. The experience was terrific. We will return!"

  • "Went for a special dinner with husband and parents, none of whom had been there before. They were all very impressed by the space, which is gorgeous. The tuna tartare appetiser was fabulous as was the asparagus caesar. The soft shell crab, a seasonal special, was the best entree. Husband and I had the strozapretti which was good - pasta done perfectly - but a little under-seasoned. Would like to go back for the bar menu."

  • "My girlfriend and I make it a point to visit this restaurant at least once a year. We love the location, the decor, the service and the food. We have never had a bad experience with either the service or the food; though sadly sometimes the noise level and the conversations of other tables can reach you, which would be our ONLY complaint. But other than that we do recommend this place to anyone looking for an extraordinary meal who is able to afford it!"

  • "We went to 2941 to celebrate our 80th birthdays. We went for lunch and were delighted with the ambiance and service. The menu was most intriguing - very creative offerings. But oh, so good! It was a memorable dining experience."

  • "This was my second time to 2941. It is a great place to take business associates because it is quiet and well spaced out so that you don't have to worry about the table next to you hearing everything you say. The guests also tend to be quiet so it is a good place if you don't want the noise you get in most restaurants. The first time I was at 2941 (at least 2 years ago), the lunch options were outstanding. I would have rated it a 4.5 (only negative being that parking is a pain if you don't do Valet). The menu was excellent, and the presentation was excellent. But this second time around I found the menu to be a bit limited and the portions very small. But the prices are moderate so I got something to eat along the way home."

  • "It's unexpected to find such a destination for foodies in an office building out by the beltway, but the setting is indeed beautiful and the food is fabulous! We did the wine-paired 5-course menu, and the sommelier couldn't properly pronounce any of the varietals or regions, but she has a great palate. The pairings were excellent! And how great to have a female sommelier! We never did "click" with our server. We were being funny and he was just going for serious, but he was there whenever we needed anything, so we can't complain! Overall - surprising location but great meal. This place is perfect for power lunches!"

  • "We celebrated our anniversary here and though the restaurant was quiet (Monday night) the wait staff was excellent and attentive without being intrusive. The mushroom tartine is more like crostini but delicious. The Caesar salad was a hit with my non foodie husband. The halibut was tender, perfectly cooked and fantastic. I had the crab risotto and am in love. Brightly flavored but delicate with my newest favorite ingredient, Buddha hand confit, this dish was worth the visit. We ordered a dark chocolate dessert and the restaurant supplemented with a special creamy dessert (sorry, can't remember what it was) which was very good too and a welcome treat to our evening."

  • "Went with some friends who had not been there before, and they were awed by the view. Expected a more industrial setting and couldnt believe the scenery -- and the koi! The view is amazing. And the food is out of this world. The Daffy burger is one of the best things I have ever eaten, the tuna carpaccio was not only delicious, but a real treat for the eyes as well. And this was just lunch -- It was great!"

  • "We selected this restaurant for our anniversary. The food and service were very good, though a bit pricey. The Halibut was moist and delicious, and the soft-shell crabs nicely prepared, though I would have preferred them sauteed, rather than fried. The green salad and Caesar salad had just the right amount of dressing. the baked-Alaska type dessert was excellent, and the cheese-filled, freshly-baked complimentary do-nut holes were very welcome. The only real drawback is the room itself, which appears to have been an office building lobby in an earlier life. It is one large room, about two stories high, with floor-to ceiling windows the length of the restaurant, overlooking a terrace and tree-lined lake. A good wine selection, but pricey."

  • "2941 never disappoints. The gorgeous grounds, including an extensive koi pond sets the tone -- and everything else follows suit. Lovely bar looking out into the woods--nice beers on tap. Our halibut and risotto and mushroom broschetta were all delicious and served perfectly. The server even made a fuss over our friends' wedding anniversary, which we were celebrating. We can't wait to go back!"

  • "I don't normally have the time to fill these out.....and this is the first time I've done so.....but I had to tell you: the food was the best tasting food I've ever eaten. I ate there twice last week and had both the lamb and then the halibut......and they were out of this world. The Calimari was unbelievably good. WOW!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!"

  • "Dinner was good, but not great. Presentation was creative and interesting, but too much butter used to cook the dishes, not very healthy. would like to see more creative ways to make dishes healthier with less fat content. Also very limited vegetarian choices."

  • "Everything about the restaurant 2941 was quite pleasant. Because it was our first time, we were confused by only valet parking. A sign saying that valet is the ONLY way to park would have been helpful. We did not appreciate the parking attendant yelling at us. The man who got the car after lunch was very polite and pleasant."

  • "Spent our 3rd year anniv dinner at the restaurant where we had the wedding. The restaurant is as romantic as we remember. The menu is new and ambitious. Didn't think the ravioli with duck worked that well together but the rest of the meal was on point as usual. We always enjoyed dining here. We especially appreciate the yummy dessert the restaurant prepared to celebrate the occasion. The service is outstanding."

  • "It took our food more than 45 minutes to come but when it did, it was great. Our server was really nice but not that attentive until we started looking at our watch and then at him. It seemed as though he had too many tables and was becoming agitated with a couple of tables and their continuous wine changes. We also loved that although they didn't have kid friendly items on the menu, they still had some options available for them. The Koi pond and waterfall added to a beautiful night."

  • "We went in for father's day dinner. Everything we ordered were delicious, from appetizers to main courses. then adding wines and cocktails, our bill easily added up to almost $200 for only 2 adults and one kid. This is quite pricy, even though I love the food a lot, we will come back but only for special occasions. Their waiters/waitresses do not seem "well" (or "overly", depend on how you look at it) trained, they are quite relaxed and polite. They did not frequent our table unnecessarily, which I liked. In addition, I saw several kids, none is small kid. Overall it is very quiet. I'm sure they welcome kids. Just perhaps when kids make big noise some may raise eyebrows."

  • "The Tahoe Tweezer was really nice and floral with the St. Germain and the Cosmonaut was out of this world! The Crispy Calamari was tender and perfectly cooked. The Tuna Tartare was fresh and creamy; the avocado was so light and creamy in its whipped consistency and a great complement to the tuna on top. The Smoked Burrata Ravioli was excellent; the olive oil added an element of taste. The Crescent Duck Breast was very good and came with a quinoa and strawberry glaze, though the baby kale salad was a little too chewy. The Chocolate-Peanut Baked Alaska was good the peanut butter ice cream was delicious and went well with the chocolate biscuit and caramel ganache but what really made this dessert best was the warmed carmel-glazed banana."

  • "My wife and I were celebrating our 44th anniversary and were looking for a memorable dining experience. 2941 provided that kind of experience. We both chose the tasting menu and every course looked good and tasted even better. The service was attentive but not intrusive. All in all we had a memorable dining experience."

  • "My friends and I were looking for a restaurant to go to for dinner on our prom night. This restaurant came up on the google search page. I saw the photos of the waterfall, koi fish pond, and the lake, and I knew this is the place I would love to eat dinner and take pictures for my senior prom night with my friends. I had a really high expectation of this place. When we arrived, we were SO impressed by everything. We had so much fun taking pictures near the waterfall. I would love to go here again for special occasion! Definitely would recommend this restaurant to all my friends!"

  • "This is still a very lovely restaurant, but unless you know about it, and even if you do, it is a little obscure! The setting is lovely, the food is outstanding and the service is competent, attentive and not invasive. The Caesar salad is a work of art. The Steak Tartare is one of the best I've ever had. Mains were soft shell crabs, which were battered and fried, but so crisp and light! Desserts were disappointing, however. Still, highly recommend this hidden treasure. Why not go after an early movie at Angelika...it's only about 5 minutes away!"

  • "I would rate it that. The sommelier (not just wine, but cocktails as well) was informative and humorous. The "Thai me up, Thai me down" is a gin drinker's fantasy. With a lime leaf frozen into one ice cube and a watermelon cube as the other, the drink offers a unique look and a treat. The "Gov't Mule" - dark rum and ginger beer was also tasty. The appetizers (beet salad, tuna tartare) were really fresh. The proteins on our entrees (ribeye, lamb) were delicious. One side dish was a hit (corn Dauphine - think cream corn as a fried dumpling), one a miss (gnocchi). Dessert (dark chocolate w/ mango) was orgasmic. Our server (Jessica) was attentive but mindful of our privacy. The setting sun was a spectacular scene thru the glass windows."
