I absoutely love 2941! I first came here to celebrate a special occassion and feel in love. The service, food, and the overall decor of the resturant is phenomenal. I found is impressive that I came back to 2941 after 6 months and the server that helped us last time remembered my friend and I. 2941 is hands down one of the best resturants in Northern Virginia. There is no resturant that is as impressive as this and I would definiately recommend it to all my friends and family.

This is a hidden gem. On the General Dynamics "campus", it is invisible from the street. Be sure to take the proper entrance (not the deliveries entrance.). The grounds are spectacular--worth arriving 5 minutes early to take a look at the waterfalls and koi pond. LOVE the mushroom tarting as a starter, the duck with Israeli couscous and the lobster pasta are outstanding! Nice wine list, by the bottle or the glass! Great for 20s and up; couples and groups; not a family place.

Everything is top notch at the 2941. We were celebrating our 10th Anniversary and 2941 did not disappoint. Food, wine, service were all great. Waiter gave us a small "extra" dessert on a dish with Happy 10th Anniversary written in chocolate- nice touch. Would definitley recommend!

Once again, 2941 doesn't disappoint. We enjoyed every minute of our dining experience. The food was outstanding and delicious. Bryan, our waiter was phenomenal. He knew of my gluten allergy and confirmed that he would take care of ensuring my food was gluten free. To top the evening off, the pasty chef prepared my most favorite dessert in the world, a small dark chocolate cake warm flourless molten cake which was out of this world fantastic. The pasty chef also presented us with a small flourless white chocolate mousse on a plate that said "Happy 11th Wedding Anniversary in a script of chocolate syrup! Thank you for making our 11th Wedding Anniversary to special!

We've eaten at this restaurant several times for lunch, and finally decided to drive over at night. We were surprised to find the restaurant full. It's always full at lunch, but we assumed that was due to the office buildings nearby. Apparently, lots of folks think it's worth the drive. Food was excellent - imaginative, well-pesented and very tasty. We particularly enjoyed the lobster/pasta entrée and the calamari - so light. Fish was excellent. There were some unusual desserts, so be sure to save room.

We have been to 2941 a couple of times, mostly for special occasions. We had been talking about going for a while and decided to return for our 22nd anniversary. We are always so pleasantly surprised as we pull up to this forested outpost so close to the beltway. The surroundings are just stunning, especially as the sun begins to set. The inside space is nice, although I felt it could use a bit of a refresh - it was not quite as warm as I had remembered it but still very nice. We opted for the tasting menu and were not disappointed. We almost didn't get it because of the desert - a cornmeal cake concoction with some grape sorbet. It turned out to be one of the highlights of the six courses. I highly recommend and look forward to returning.

You wouldn't expect to find a terrific restaurant at the base of a 15-story glass and steel building beside the Washington Beltway. But that's exactly where you'll find 2941. And once you do find, you'll be back often. Modern, but comfortable and surrounded by koi ponds and lake views, 2941 offers a great menu that changes frequently, a serviceable wine list, and attentive service. It has a great bar and the cocktails are inventive. Go.

We had long heard of 2941, which is not far from our home. It's reputation among my friends had been that it's a bit pricey for the food and the non-city location didn't necessarily appeal to us. However, we gave it a try the other night and found it was a wonderful place! We had three generations of my family at dinner to celebrate the end of the first week of opening a business; the end of the first week of kids back at school; and two wedding anniversaries. The service was impeccable. The food appealed to all the generations and the portions were just right. The decor was modern and the view outside was just lovely! I can see how 2941 would appeal for date nights and romantic celebrations, but it was also great for families!

For a memorable birthday dinner, we chose to return to 2941. We have been customers since the opening and have never been disappointed with the food, service, or ambiance. Our waiter, Alex was attentive and informative. The lobster pasta and mushroom tartine starters disappeared in moments! The swordfish, halibut and duck breast were cooked to perfection and every bite took us to food heaven. We are looking forward to our next 2941 experience.

This was always one of our favorite restaurants but over the years as changes were made we stopped going. We have now added this back to our list of favorites! Service was attentive, knowledgeable yet not intrusive. We had the tuna tartare that was excellent as were the steak tartare and the mushroom tarts. The Halibut and the scallops were excellent and a lovely way to end the meal were the warm doughnut holes! We will definitely return to this lovely restaurant.

Marvelous food. Excellent hostess. Acceptable table service. Valets were rushed and crabby. The sommelier completely ignored my price limit when I asked for help choosing wine--not one bottle she recommended was $50 or under. And, the wine prices seemed high. So, the food was as good as ever, the room is lovely as is the view, but other things have slipped from previous visits. I'd still return as this is my first disappointment there.

Our table got the Tasting Menu with Winr Pairing. Everything was delicious! I did not like the cobia as well as the other items but that is a matter of personal preference. The lobster carbonara was fabulous--my favorite. The chocolate pecan bar was a delight and surprisingly light. The wines were all excellent but the Pino Grigio really surprised me as I normally do not care for it. All in all a wonderful evening.

We usually go with the tasting menu because it is always an amazing meal, but this time we tried 2 small bites, 2 apps, 2 app size pastas, and 1 dessert. They were all truly outstanding. We are always happy when we have at least one "wow" moment in a meal -- we had SEVEN at 2941!! Oh, and the sommelier Jonathan ... well we could talk to him all night. Of course he chose the perfect wine, somehow bridging our different palates.

This restauarant, as always, was a wonderful experience and the perfect venue to bring visiting family and meet friends. The prix-fixe menu was quite reasonable. Had the beat salad with goat cheese, rockfish, and lemon dessert. The table also ordered the mushroom tartine, which is extraordinary. My brother has a mushroom allergy but tried it anyway because it was worth the risk. The menu and cocktail list turn over just enough to warrant coming back every other month to see what's new.

I was there twice during the extended Restaurant Week--once for dinner and once for lunch. One of us at lunch ordered (not from the Restaurant Week menu) the octopus salad, which she crowned "outstanding." The gazpacho--more textured than in many restaurant--was excellent as was the pork loin. The bread never quite measures up to the early days of the restaurant (when retired opthamologist Dr. Krim mentored it), but the bread this time--oddly, at lunch rather than at dinner--came very close.

I was truly excited to experience this place however the only thing that truly made this a 3 was there salmon in chorizo and mussel sauce smelled like there was too much old bay or like there could be crab in it. But when I exchange the entree for the chicken duo, I was quite impressed with the flavors. The best things were: The complimentary donuts String beans Table bread Skin on the roasted chicken breast

A friend has been recommending this restaurant, so figured we would drive a bit further away from DC to try this place out. Food was absolutely phenomenal, service less so, but over all the food won us over. The place had complimentary valet parking, you could also park your own car --which we did -- but was a little bit of a longer walk. The waiter took forever to take our order, and another person ended up serving us water and apologizing for the slow service before our waiter could get to us. Service was a little bit more up to speed after that, but the waiter look like he couldn't care less. Food however, was amazing! I loved the tuna tartare, shrimp Risotto with Buddha hand fruit, pork loin (cooked to perfect tenderness).

Took my wife to 2941 for our 2nd wedding anniversary; I knew she enjoyed their offerings but I had never been. Beautiful restaurant with surprisingly great views for being in the middle of an office park! Everything we ordered was fantastic. We started with the tuna tartare with avocado and calamari, and for entrees we both went for steaks - she with the ribeye, venison for me. I can't even specify what it was in particular that was great, just that everything was. If I had any complaint at all, it'd be that my venison was bedded on too many mushrooms and too few of the amazing roasted figs. Even the Moscow Mule I drank, in its chilled copper mug, was better than I expected! The price was hefty, for sure, but hey, special occasion.

2941 did not disappoint. We've been coming here for special occasions for 8 years. It was as special and wonderful as ever. Great staff, beautifully presented and absolutely delicious food. Beautiful atmosphere. We are used to getting little "chef's gifts" throughout the night (a small starter soup, or carmel corn or cotton candy at the end of the night) and did not receive anything this time--but maybe because it was restaurant week? Didn't matter...still a very wonderful experience. We'll be back!
