"The menu was appealing and the food was generally good, but the service was uncommonly poor. We were seated for well over an hour before our food arrived (without explanation or apology), and after the meal it took over 30 minutes to get the check handled. Our server didn't make any attempt to engage with us, she was just processing the transaction and then ignoring us for long stretches at a time."

"Food was above average, but it was disconcerting to see the bar patrons leave every 15 minutes to go outside and smoke a joint. Next time we will request seats in the dining room to avoid the smell of cigarettes and marijuana!"

"I got a really bad first impression as soon as we walked in because the hostess had the personality of a rock, she did not even smile. I even tried to joke about being a little late for our reservation, seeming like it really didn't matter because the dining room was empty. I work in hospitality so it's one of my hot buttons with service. The first person who greets you should definitely have some kind of PERSONALITY. Other than that, the waiter was decent, the food was decent. Although the chef screwed up my steak and I had to wait an extra ten minutes for my meal to come out. While the waiter did apologize, I would expect some sort of compensation for that. Maybe that's just because I work in a high end hotel and that's what we would do."

"We went for a restaurant week lunch and were really impressed. Of particular note were the tortilla soup and the haddock entree. The belgian waffles for dessert initially drew us in, but were a little bit disappointing - they needed to be cooked longer, I think (not that they were undercooked, just not crispy). Service was good, but the restaurant was empty when we arrived, so I don't know that it's meaningful that the staff were attentive. All in all, a very good meal."
