We sat outside, and although pleasant it was quite noisy from street noise. The tables were mostly low - a little like eating in front of the TV. Food was good and fun because we were picking off common plates. Desserts were not worth considering. Definitely not good for a special occasion.

First let me start with something positive - the food was great. I wish I could recommend this restaurant based on that alone, but I can't. Why? Because the service was awful. The valet was rude and our waitress barely gave us the time of day. She didn't check back once after we got our food and tossed the check on the table as she was walking by without saying a word. Horrible.

I greatly enjoyed my time at 28 Degrees. I took my girlfriend there for our anniversary and I mentioned that when I made the reservation. Our waitress came out and surprised us with their fudge brownie a la mode after our meal. Very very impressed. As for the food, the menu isn't very extensive but the choices they do offer were very much to my liking. The truffle mac and cheese tasted amazing as did the pork shumai.

The oysters were delicious and the scallops were to absolutely yummy, paired with Cloudy Bay Sauv Blanc was the perfect match. Did not care for the ribs, but everything else was great. Waiter was fantastic!

I really like 28 degrees...but was there at 6:30 on a Thursday and the vibe was not the same as when you are there later at night or on a weekend. It was very quiet and mellow...though the staff was helpful and nice and the food was great. I had mentioned (when I made the reservations) that it was my guests birthday, though there was no acknowledgement of this - and even though that would be above and beyond I would have been very impressed if they did make reference to this. I will def return, just will do so on a weekend night. slightly limited menu...but food is good and small plates are a good size.

We went for the Gilt City wine tasting menu which was really excellent. Although the wine tasting menu was prix fixe, the staff was very understanding that we might want to try other things. We ordered cocktails from the regular menu and then proceeded with the wine tasting menu. The food was excellent and service was attentive. We'll be back.

Though my first choice was Noche, due to the fact that I missed my 10:30 reservation and the kitchen was closed by the time we got there, I made an 11 o clock appointment at 28 degrees. The restaurant/bar is very aesthetically pleasing, however, the noise was a bit much. As soon as we sat down, my boyfriend brought it to my attention. It was hard to hear the waiter. Late night menu is mostly appetizers, so i'd recommend going at normal dinner hours for a little more extensive menu. If the music was a bit lower, and if the table was set before we arrived, it would have gotten a higher rating. The food was great though, very tasty and great portions. Would recommend overall though.
