"Upon arrival hostess invited us to sit at bar when there were several tables available. Waitress was unfriendly, kept us waiting 10 minutes to take our order, didn't bring bread until we asked. We were not served our first course (delicious tomato soup) for 30 minutes from the time we were seated----no exaggeration. She may have been miffed because we didn't order main courses--just 5 starters and 2 glasses of wine. Her attitude and borderline rudeness ruined what would otherwise have been a delightful meal. Food was great. Pity. We won't being going back there again."

"We like to eat here when we go to the Asian Art Museum. The neighborhood is a nightmare of homeless folks, but this place is a gem. Original but accessible cuisine, friendly but efficient service, and a bartender with a lot of good cocktail recipes in his head. Also, the place is just the right size. The windows give a good view of city hall and the garden (whhichn I suppose they use for their greens and some vegetables)."

"Service was terrible. no knives on the table. we had to ask. had to ask for lemon twice. server asked if we wanted cream with the coffee but never brought it. when i asked for the pepper she pointed to the pepper on the table.this restaurant has been going downhill steadily."
