A word from 25 Lusk
25 Lusk is a sophisticated, approachable fine dining restaurant specializing in seasonal contemporary American cuisine. All of the original exposed brick and massive timbers are still in place, creating a warm and inviting ambiance while maintaining the building's classic, industrial aesthetic.
The 9,800-square-foot space includes 120 seats in the main dining area, a spacious lower bar and lounge level, 30-35 seats in the private dining area, semi private dining for parties up to 14 people and a community dining table.
Perhaps the most unique element of the 25 Lusk transformations is the open space which allows soaring steel fire orb flues to pass from the main dining level to the lounge below. This design unifies the two-level space while still allowing each level to exist as a distinct venue. 25 Lusk's one-of-a-kind basement level bar and lounge offers a stylish and contemporary setting with an expansive selection of classic and modern cocktails.

I've been to 25 Lusk many, many times and always enjoyed it. In fact, my friends surprised me once with a birthday party in the private dining room, which was out of this world. The one thing that I like about 25 Lusk is the attention to detail, particularly by the chefs and expediter that bring the food to the table. The ingredients are always unique and fresh, and the menu changes quite frequently. They bring elegance to the table, and dishes such as the octopus or the gnocchi appetizers were scrumptious. The sommelier is knowledgeable and friendly, and knows his stuff. Same with the bartenders. This place is always consistently impressive.

Friends had recommended this spot and it didn't disappoint. We were in San Fran for a few days and really looking forward to the meal. Service was fantastic, professional, and at one point one of the managers approached us and apologized for our mains taking longer than planned....we hadn't noticed but he comped us a round of wine which we thought was just outstanding. Both the apps and mains were exceptional, wonderfully presented and great flavours. Dessert was a delight also. A great night!

We had a 7:00 pm reservation and didn't eat our main course until 8:30. When I finally got the Tuna with mushrooms our server recommended, the mushrooms were deep fried. I had specifically said I was Gluten Free. They said they would make it up to me by having mushrooms sauteed for me, but I finished my dish before they came to tell me the chef had burned the mushrooms. They then said dessert was on them, so I ordered ice cream since everything else had gluten in it. The ice cream came with vanilla flavored flour!!! They sent another dessert and a dessert wine to make amends, but the bill had my dessert on it. We were tired when we left. Dinner out shouldn't be a mine field.

second time at 25 Lusk - both times dinner was extraordinary, staff very professional but also extremely nice. second time was a smaller group and I was paying, and am happy tosay we made a great choice taking our client there. Out of town client visiting from Florida loved the decor and ambiance and - being a foodie - they 101% approved of everything they ordered. Next time may take my wife there - not sure which night of the week would be good to diner 4 2 there

Maybe check out the bar/happy hour bites but for $30 a plate this is one of the biggest rips in the city full of rips... Service couldn't be bothered. The "bread" was embarrassing... I think it was made by "Bimbo" in Mexico.. heels.. I was served 3 heels at one time! lol.. how does that even happen? Food was uninspired, low on taste, heavy on fat and oil/butter aka cover up for cheap ingredients... Expectations weren't that high, and even those weren't met.. had a really hard time leaving my usual 20% tip but can't bring myself to taking out my disappointment on the servers... even though our "head server" treated us like we had Ebola...

We booked this restaurant for our 1st wedding anniversary after reading lots of great reviews - we were so pleased with our choice. When we arrived we went for a pre dinner drinks in the bar - the service was excellent and the bar deco and atmosphere were great. We got sat in a booth upstairs for dinner and had the taster menu with wine pairing. The food was amazing and the wine pairing made the experience even more special. We loved the warehouse feel - very modern. Would definitely recommend this place to anyone visiting San Fran

The place needs to get over itself… We arrived a few minutes early for our 8:30 reservation and pointed to the lounge. At 8:45p we still hadn't been sat. It was closer to 9 before we had water. Ordering and bread followed slowly. We had planned to skip appetizers and go straight to the main course. We were encouraged by our server to order at least a couple starters because mains tend to take 30+ minutes to prepare… and he had already let us sit for long enough that he knew we would be really dissatisfied if we had to wait that long. I had a better meal at a gastro pub in Redwood city for much less the night prior. Overall the food was good, the venison and Waygu were very good according to others in my party the salmon was good.

We ordered the tempura octopus small plate which was exquisite - moist and bursting with flavor. We then moved upstairs for dinner. Again, great ambiance. We ordered the bruleed figs salad which absolutely awesome. By now our expectations were sky high as we ordered our entrees. My wife ordered the fresh king salmon and I ordered the Wagyu flap steak. We had recently experienced great Wagyu beef at another restaurant and I was really looking forward to 25 Lusk's preparation. Unfortunately we were both disappointed. The "fresh" King salmon lacked flavor and my Wagyu beef was very tough and the sauce quite lame. I wish it were not so but this was our experience. Great service throughout.

I ordered the melon and cucumber salad for $14 as a starter. Plain and uninspired and not much of it, again for $14. Then the grilled lamb. Server suggested medium rare. I asked for medium. I got medium rare. At $38 for a couple of chops I expected it to be cooked perfectly. It needed another 5 minutes on the grill. There was virtually nothing distinguishing (marinade, herbs, seasonings) about the lamb. I have cooked much better myself on my grill at home and at a fraction of the cost.

My husband and I celebrated our second anniversary at 25 Lusk this past weekend and absolutely LOVED it. It's on the pricier side of of the scale, but worth every penny! The restaurant's design is absolutely gorgeous and the ambiance was welcoming, romantic, and even sexy (if that makes any sense!). The food - Delicious! We had the Oysters with peanut, noodle, and lime sorbet (interesting combo but SO good), the Chicken fried Quail and the Flank Steak dishes - both amazing! The cocktails were good as well. Best past of all? The service. From the moment we sat down until the moment we left, the servers and staff were very attentive and accommodating. Made us feel like royalty for the night! =) We will definitely be back.

My husband and I decided to have dinner before going to the ball game on a Friday evening. Our usual places either didn't take reservations or couldn't take us before the game. I searched for restaurants near ATT Park and found 25 Lusk. It was awesome!!! The Melon and Cucumber Salad was incredible. The main dishes were great too. I had the Seared Ahi, and it was a generous portion served with interesting accompaniments. We will come back again at a time when we can enjoy the meal over a longer period of time without the deadline of a ball game.

I met a friend here for lunch on a whim knowing little about this restaurant. The food was delicious. I had the seared tuna with foraged mushrooms (cooked and seasoned perfectly) and my friend at the special, which was a grilled shrimp on soba noodles with peas and mint. That was wonderful too (the mint was perfect, just a little hint). Our server (I forgot his name) was excellent! He was attentive and detail oriented (picked up unused lemon and straw from drink within a couple of minutes, for example), personable, helpful and easy on the eyes. The drinks looked really great, but I just had a glass of wine.

The food was interesting and very good. Entrees include vegetables, so separate order of sides is not necessary (vegetables side only is a trend is do not like) Presentation is excellent. Desserts are heavy on ice cream/sorbets. Service was attentive. I personally find the decor too dark and nightclubby - so we were glad to be seated at a table that received natural light through the window. It was easy to hold a conversation -- possibly because there was a Giants game and the restaurant was not crowded (note - Valet parking is cheaper than nearby Giants parking).

On a lark, partner and I decided to enjoy a lunch at 25 Lusk. We went on a Monday, and the restaurant was very quiet. Received outstanding service from Catherin (waitperson) and Stephanie (manager).
