25 Lusk is a sophisticated, approachable fine dining restaurant specializing in seasonal contemporary American cuisine. All of the original exposed brick and massive timbers are still in place, creating a warm and inviting ambiance while maintaining the building's classic, industrial aesthetic.
The 9,800-square-foot space includes 120 seats in the main dining area, a spacious lower bar and lounge level, 30-35 seats in the private dining area, semi private dining for parties up to 14 people and a community dining table.
Perhaps the most unique element of the 25 Lusk transformations is the open space which allows soaring steel fire orb flues to pass from the main dining level to the lounge below. This design unifies the two-level space while still allowing each level to exist as a distinct venue. 25 Lusk's one-of-a-kind basement level bar and lounge offers a stylish and contemporary setting with an expansive selection of classic and modern cocktails.

  • "I ordered the melon and cucumber salad for $14 as a starter. Plain and uninspired and not much of it, again for $14. Then the grilled lamb. Server suggested medium rare. I asked for medium. I got medium rare. At $38 for a couple of chops I expected it to be cooked perfectly. It needed another 5 minutes on the grill. There was virtually nothing distinguishing (marinade, herbs, seasonings) about the lamb. I have cooked much better myself on my grill at home and at a fraction of the cost."

  • "My husband and I celebrated our second anniversary at 25 Lusk this past weekend and absolutely LOVED it. It's on the pricier side of of the scale, but worth every penny! The restaurant's design is absolutely gorgeous and the ambiance was welcoming, romantic, and even sexy (if that makes any sense!). The food - Delicious! We had the Oysters with peanut, noodle, and lime sorbet (interesting combo but SO good), the Chicken fried Quail and the Flank Steak dishes - both amazing! The cocktails were good as well. Best past of all? The service. From the moment we sat down until the moment we left, the servers and staff were very attentive and accommodating. Made us feel like royalty for the night! =) We will definitely be back."

  • "You wouldn't realise this was here big you just walked past the end of Lusk. It's really chic and cool. Great bars and good restaurant food. My only small point is that it is quite expensive and the bill can rack up if you aren't careful which I wasn't! That said, it was good."

  • "My husband and I decided to have dinner before going to the ball game on a Friday evening. Our usual places either didn't take reservations or couldn't take us before the game. I searched for restaurants near ATT Park and found 25 Lusk. It was awesome!!! The Melon and Cucumber Salad was incredible. The main dishes were great too. I had the Seared Ahi, and it was a generous portion served with interesting accompaniments. We will come back again at a time when we can enjoy the meal over a longer period of time without the deadline of a ball game."

  • "I met a friend here for lunch on a whim knowing little about this restaurant. The food was delicious. I had the seared tuna with foraged mushrooms (cooked and seasoned perfectly) and my friend at the special, which was a grilled shrimp on soba noodles with peas and mint. That was wonderful too (the mint was perfect, just a little hint). Our server (I forgot his name) was excellent! He was attentive and detail oriented (picked up unused lemon and straw from drink within a couple of minutes, for example), personable, helpful and easy on the eyes. The drinks looked really great, but I just had a glass of wine."

  • "If you like overpriced wine and $54 dollar pork chops this is your place. Very average wait staff and the absolute dumbest treatment of oysters, in shell on top of sherbet, ice.......I would only go to drink in the bar, the food is very pretentious and not really solid."

  • "The food was interesting and very good. Entrees include vegetables, so separate order of sides is not necessary (vegetables side only is a trend is do not like) Presentation is excellent. Desserts are heavy on ice cream/sorbets. Service was attentive. I personally find the decor too dark and nightclubby - so we were glad to be seated at a table that received natural light through the window. It was easy to hold a conversation -- possibly because there was a Giants game and the restaurant was not crowded (note - Valet parking is cheaper than nearby Giants parking)."

The cocktail menu was exciting and the two specialty drinks we tried were delicious. The restaurant design is contemporary/industrial, very nicely done. Service was great. The server was knowledgable, friendly and gave us just the right amount of attention. An enjoyable experience!"

Received outstanding service from Catherin (waitperson) and Stephanie (manager). Our dishes (Fish and chips; Burrata and Fried Green Tomatoes) were delicious, and portions . . . especially considering it was lunch time . . . were extremely generous. All in all, great eatery tucked away in a tiny alley near Cal Train station."

  • "Another enjoyable evening at 25 Lusk.....with some BUTS.....I was with a "fussy" , AKA boring , eater and thus the menu didn't suit. Two side dishes were ordered as the meal and that went over very well. Well priced and perfect. On the other hand, I love the interesting menu but I have to say the portions are getting a tad pricey. I had a sashimi halibut small plate ...delicious but for $16 I would expect more than 1.5in x 2.5in sliver of fish. This is not some exotic rare catch. Black cod often comes small but this was a disappointment . And ditto for the melon cucumber salad....a few cubes scattered on the plate with the excellent dressing. Probably cost $1.00 of ingredients. The service was superb...."

  • "Got there at 7pm did not leave until 930pm sat and waited for dinner for a long time. Forgotten drinks and multiple reasons why everything was slow - still do not know what to believe. For a $300 meal with 5 people service should be impeccable instead it was like a long movie that I wanted to end. Maybe next time they will get it together."

After about a half hour later proceeded to take food order. Seemed contradictory about the wine list, and recomended everything. I would have spent at least twice as much if the server was knowdlegeable and favored one dish or one wine regardless the price. "

  • "Several years ago, my friends surprised me with a birthday party in the private dining room at 25 Lusk -- we had a wonderful experience, and the food was off the charts. I then took my parents back to the restaurant, but the food quality took a nosedive. Now, after returning for a dinner with my boss, the restaurant has clearly found its stride. The baby carrots appetizer was so delicious, I was tempted to ask the waiter for one to go so I could enjoy it again the next day. The 38 North duck was outstanding, perfectly cooked, and balanced with some delicious sides. The wine pairing (Neal cabernet) was off the charts, especially from one of Napa's best cab makers. Overall, this restaurant continues to impress!"

  • "Last time the food was good but the overall service experience not so good. This time the reverse! Service was just fine but I thought the food was pretty lousy. The Fava leaf salad was drenched in dressing and still flavorless and it got worse with every bite. The Quail entree was very very unimpressive, too greasy and the flavored just weren't working. My wife didn't want to go there and said "why are we going to that place , its so dead!" And she was right at 8 pm on Saturday evening there were quite a few empty tables and the crowd continued to decline as the night went on. Walking out via the downstairs main bar at around 10:30 it was about half empty and a large portion of the patrons boozed out baseball fans. "

Staff seemed to have forgotten about our dinner order, yet tried to deliver a dessert that wasn't ours 4 times. I was a little disappointed in the service and food this time around."
