A word from 24Grille
24Grille is our casual approach to fine dining. Offerings of classic American dishes paired with our family oriented service culture, make the grille the gathering destination to eat, drink, and share good times. Our elegant bar and dining space remain true to the original building features of the historic Westin Book Cadillac, allowing the memories and magic of times gone by to remain in our guests and restaurant family's hearts.
Our menu offers classic regional and American dishes created each with individual style and preparation. Each ingredient and flavor profile is made in house and is brought to us by local Michigan vendors. Chef Booth focuses on a seasonal menu, highlighting natures best products.

  • "I have visited this venue several times and was excited to come. I actually brought four friends, to join me. We waited over 20 mintues to be sat, we had a reservation and the restuarant was not busy. Because it was restaurant week, there was a limited menu, which one would think that the service and food would be expedited quickly. We did not receive our food until 9:50. The food was not great, no flavor. Dessert was even worse, it took another hour to get dessert and our bill. A night out, turned into an overdrawn, and overrated dining experience."

The staff makes sure your table is never cluttered with dishes and your water glass is never empty. I enjoyed the atmosphere as well as the service and food. Can't wait to go back"

  • "I had a group of 5. The service was very slow, it took half an hour to get appetizers and a hour more to get our meals. Our waitress didn't come around very often. Once we received our food all was forgotten. The food was hot and delicious. The short rib wad very tender and delicious. Give it a try!"

  • "I had friends in from out of town and was very excited to bring them to 24 Grille for brunch. As soon as we sat down, the experience went down hill. The waitress was the WORST server ever. It took her literally 10 min to even acknowledge us.. and there was 6 of us. She was not pleasant. It took her way longer than normal to come back with drinks, etc.. she didnt even explain the brunch to us and spilled and entire drink on me. Please see below for the rest of the experience."

  • "This was disappointing at best; a waste of time, money and calories. After waiting several minutes for our waitress it took almost 10 minutes for our drinks. She was pushing us to order. We decided on the short ribs and perch. We were only halfway through our salad, a dreary Caesar and mediocre beet & goat cheese, when the entrees arrived. The short rib dish has some nice flavor but the perch was blah. It was a plate of fish swimming in white gravy with a few grape tomatoes. We tried the Brussels sprouts which were barely cooked. Again before we were finished the help was asking if they could take our plates. I never understood the push to get us out as the restaurant was little more than half filled. This is a coffee shop not worth $200."

  • "This was an okay brunch. I am not a fan of the buffet style, especially because the line was long for the omelettes and we had somewhere else to go so couldn't wait on that. The fried chicken was SO GOOD! I'd come back if I could just have that, but certainly not worth $30. The pancakes tasted like bisquick, so once again, not worth my $30, and the only bottomless drink was Mimosas. I would have preferred a larger selection (i.e. Bloody Mary's & Bellinis) so I could shift between the three options. I don't think I'll come back as this was a day trip to Detroit and so I have other options the next time I return."

  • "Underwhelming to say the very least. The staff was confused and our poor waitress was over worked leaving us completely neglected for 80% of the night. The "braised beef" that went for $32 was pot roast. Any way you try to spin that dish, it was pot roast. The Calimari was completely over fried and the rolls belonged at a Big Boy. There is no sense of process or control in there and I believe it starts with management. Not even close to being worth the price."

  • "The food was really great. Great presentation, great flavors, great portion sizes, and an interesting menu. The service was really very friendly, but we were still in the restaurant for a total of two hours without even having salads or appetizers. That meant over an hour after we sat down before we were eating our entrees. Still a great place, I'd go there again, but it took a looooong time."

  • "We were not seated at a table although we had reservations, when seated the waitress wanted to pour the glass of unfinished warm wine into the new glass of wine we'd just ordered, also we were told by the waitress that we couldn't have two drinks on the table at the same time...This was the Law, really??????? My wife didn't eat her entrée..The Lamb"

  • "My overall experiance is very poor at this place. The hostess was very friendly even though we had to wait 30 min for a table when we had reservations made over a week in advance. The service was very poor as we waited 40 min for soup (which was cold) and once finished an additional 45 minutes for our entree to arrive. After about 30 minutes of waiting for our entrees I asked to speak with a manager who never came back to the table to check on us. The wait staff never once asked how our food was or checked on us at any point from us recieving our soup to finishing our entrees. This was overall a very poorly trained staff and management was not that much better! I would NOT recommend to friends, family or business partners."

  • "We arrived for our 7:30 reservation about 10 minutes early. We weren't seated until about 8:15. Our service was beyond atrocious, the food was cold, and even if it was warm it still would've been awful. I would never return and would not recommend."

  • "The restaurant had a beautiful setting. But unfortunately, that was the extent of our good experience. We both ordered surf and turf off of the special valentines menu. We both ordered our steak medium. They both came back medium rare. Besides the food being cooked incorrectly, it just wasn't good tasting. We were going to say something (they never asked if it was cooked correctly) but we had time constraints due to a movie time we wanted to make. So we just ate it. The dinner also came with endless glasses of champagne. Of note, we had two waitresses helping us. On two different occasions, one waitress "forgot" that we asked for another glass. We had to wait about 15-30 minutes for the other waitress to get it. Maybe bc tip was included?"

  • "Not recommend to anyone looking for an enjoyable relaxed evening. We were early for our reservation and were seated very promptly, the wait team arrived quickly. And quick continued through the meal. we ordered a nice bottle of Amarone and Crab Cake appetizer. The crab cake some how was brought from the kitchen within five minutes. the wine showed up five minutes later. My wife ordered the filet and I order the slow braised short ribs. My wife's filet was ordered medium well. It was served medium well and was served in less than ten minutes from the time we ordered. The plates were cold and the food just warm enough to eat. If I wanted fast food I would have gone to McDonalds. so much for an enjoyable romantic dinner at $233."

  • "I was disappointed in the sevice we received this past Saturday night. Our waiter appeared very inexperienced at his job. The drink orders were extermely slow. The meals were slightly disappointing to all but the order for a burger, but 21.00 for a burger it better be good. We will not be in a rush to return."

  • "24 Grille used to be my favorite restaurant. Now the last 2 times I've been, the service hasn't been great. Last time, the waitress couldn't open the bottle of wine and our food took longer than expected. This past time, the bread basket came after our soup & salad and about 2 minutes before our entrees arrived. Just forget the bread. This restaurant had potential."

  • "The food was amazing but the service was horrible, while waiting in the bar area it took 20 mins to get service after asking the bartender and supervisor for service. Once seated the server was not intuned to the needs of the group which required the group to have multiple requests. She did not explain that there was just brunch bar service and the party was waiting for the menu which near the end of the brunch hour she explained. This then forced the group to get the scraps of the buffet."

  • "We've been here a number of times and it is one of our favorite restaurants in Detroit. Typically we enjoy both the food and the service, which is both great. This evening our food was typically very good, but the service was horrible. We saw our server only 3 times. She took our order, asked us if we wanted a to go box, and took the check, that's it. I was delivered the wrong steak; if I had thought she would have fixed it I would have complained, but the entire section was receiving poor service. We were not the only ones to notice. This was a major disappointment. We were at dinner with my MIL for Christmas, and dinner was not up to 24grill's usual standard."

  • "Solid restaurant, I would go back. Went as a couple, would rather be in small group. Thought there was some unique ingredient pairings and generally the taste was good and fresh. Specialty drink was excellent. I liked the set-up and decor, and wouldn't mind going just for an after work cocktail. Small details were off, like track lighting being pointed right at one of the seats at our table, and portions being strange. One entree was overwhelming while one left me hungry."

  • "They accommodated our group of six with a last minute reservation even though we arrived early and on a game night. Excellent, warm service. Even though I'm not a potato chip person, their handmade chips were to-die-for. Everyone in our group had the burger and we all loved it. Loved the emphasis on local and Michigan items. Overall, a place I would definitely go back to!"

  • "We had a reservation for 8pm and we were seated about 8:10pm. Ordered drinks, appetizers, and dinner about 8:15, and about 8:45 we rec'd our drinks and about 9/9:15, we rec'd our appetizers. I think it's ridiculous that we waited 45 min for crab cake appetizer & soup. The waiter did apologize saying the kitchen was backed-up. At 9:45, we still did not have dinner, so we asked for our bill, paid it, and left. I've heard good things about this restaurant so I was very sad about our experience. Maybe because it was Sweetest Day?! Not sure, but I would think they would be properly staffed on possible busier than normal nights."
