Diner Reviews
  • "My sister and I had dinner at 240 and we both had the lamb chops, cooked medium rare, they were done to perfection and were delicious as was the bacon Mac and cheese. The brussel sprouts however were supposed to be roasted and tasted more like steamed but since I like brussel sprouts that way too, I didn't mind them. My sister had roasted asparagus spears and they were cooked perfect -firm but tender. We both had wine with dinner, I had a Moscato(delicious) and my sister had a Riesling. Our waitress was great, super attentive brought us extra raisin bread 3times! Which all their bread is delicious! My only complaint is that it's a little pricey-our meal was over $135.00"

  • "The Saturday night Prime Rib Buffet was a meal to remember. I have never tasted such perfectly seasoned and cooked prime rib. The baked potato bar was awesome as well as the oysters. My family also enjoy the wide variety of food options as well. I would definitely recommend 240 to others!"

  • "Restaurant should change their policy on substituting a vegetable for a starch. Both my wife and I asked to not have the potatoes that were included with our entrees and to rather have a vegetable instead. Our server said that they could not substitute but we could order of the Ala Carte menu which we did. My wife ordered the Asparagus and she was charged the full side item price of $6.00 and she received 3 small stalks on her plate with the Sea Bass. I ordered the roasted cauliflower and it was also served on the plate with my Chicken for $6.00. This is short sighted on the part of the restaurant management as there are many better options in the Lake Geneva area."

  • "The entertainment was outstanding. The piano player was fantastic. He even played the piano while playing the trumpet. Now that takes skill. The dining area was nice, and the wait staff was courteous, however the tables were too low so it was difficult to scoot the chair in beneath the table (at least on the tables they unhinged the round ends to make the table square). The food was good, (it certainly wasn't bad) but it was a bit pricey. But it is like any other "upscale" restaurant nowadays, you are in there with a bunch of other people who are dressed in flip-flops and shorts (some people at the resort were just coming in off the beach), so definitely don't plan on it being a romantic evening. The view of the harbor/lake was pleasant."

  • "We'd been to 240 West for Mothers Day brunch and it was a disaster. Diners had to walk from the dining room, thru a reception room of sorts, to yet another room, where a very thoroughly picked over buffet was set. The service was as poor as the food, but we all wrote it off to the busyness that comes with a holiday brunch. I swore I'd never go back, but am glad we decided to. This time we had the Saturday night prime rib buffet. Happily, this time the buffet was set out in the dining room, the food was well stocked and tasty. The desserts were splendid, and service was courteous and timely. We've been eating at the Abby for years, and are happy to see that the remodel hasn't changed much of what we've always liked about it after all."

  • "This recently renovated restaurant in the Abbey has the perfect combination of old and new, shabby and sheik. The chef is fantastic not to mention the a high quality swevice staff. Julia was our Saturday evening server and was absolutely wonderful in every way."

  • "Better food is available in this area. Meat portion rather small. Spacey waitress. Nice location, remodeling very attractive. Maybe the buffet is the better deal here."

  • "Warm greating when we valeted the car and entered the restaurant. Bringing in a guest for business I could not ask for anything more. The waitress was sincere and the food was excellent. The recent renovations accommodate the spectacular view."
