We had the special rock shrimp and the fried calamari as starters and we all agreed the shrimp was exceptionally good. The bar is small, so there is no place to wait except on the street. The tables are packed into tight spaces so it is a bit crowded feeling. Service and food are very good. A wonderful evening after a day of travel, sightseeing and driving!3/12/2013 12:00:00 AMWhat's the name of the place?I eat out at a lot of restaurants all over this country and I have to say 230 Forest is one of my top five. We had reservations for dinner but decided to go for lunch. Great seafood salad, cesaer with a parmesean crisp and tomato bisque soup. The baguette in a bag is a nice toasty treat with the kalamata olive and garlic butter. Great lunch so we thought about cancelling dinner but said nope, will be back that night.
Of course that was the right decision. That night tried the crab cakes and the Loup de Mare. California sea bass stuffed with crab, wow, the best seafood dish I have had in years.
Our servers Jorge and Ben were right on the money and kudos to the bus boy, he does a really nice job.
