  • "The bar is very appealing, the bar tender a pro, the food outstanding. The service in the restaurant is friendly and personal. The only thing that lack personality and atmosphere is the restaurant room itself. I would recommend this place to anyone who has high expectations when it comes to food and great cocktails but yet, doesn't want to feel like being in a stuffy place."

  • "We had to wait a bit, as we brought 1 more than the reservation. The staff were very accommodating. Loved the bar area, loved the decor very representative of "Savannah historical living" with the lights, dishes and the serving peices . Brings the gentile spirit of southern charm to your dining. The food was very good, with a party of 11 we had almost every thing on the menu. The bread served with fresh butter was wonderful and I loved the cheese plate. My best meal in Savannah"

  • "Shrimp seviche was probably the major disappointment with big chunks of cucumber. Not really creative and not something special. The pork belly appetizer was awesome but super small. The Duck and Salmon entrees both were super delicious. Actually the taste of salmon surprised the whole table. We came from New York and it is hard to surprise us. Everybody around us were eating burgers, really? I didn't make any judgement because I was prepared for a good local food and we almost got it. They bake fresh bread, different types, including the one with garlic and Parmesan cheese, which is always a plus. Overall the experience was decent. Restaurant team has room for improvement for sure but if they try harder they will nail it in Savannah."

  • "I had my birthday party here recently. This is one of my favorite restaurants from a food perspective. It is so fresh and unique. We sat at the farm high top table in the center of the restaurant (my fav table). Waitress is the same one I always have and is very attentive. They have changed the menu from the original (which i liked a little better- put the deviled eggs back on the crudite!) but the new dishes were great. Nice atmosphere for a group."

Upon looking at their regular menu, I felt like the special menu created for Restaurant Week might be a better fit for most people. Full of choices and yummy delivery on those items we selected."

  • "5 of us went for Restaurant Week on a Sunday. Had a great cocktail in the bar first. The bartender is very knowledgable and creative. The food was great, especially the appetizers. My bisque was amazing, and my wife's eggplant was wonderful. For dinner I had the duck, which had too much fat for me, and my zucchini hash was overcooked. My wife also had the duck, and hers was better. But everyone else's was really good. The low country boil had the best swordfish I've ever tasted. Two others had the pasta with house-made sausage and meatballs, which they said was good, too. The hostess and the server were very attentive and helpful. The prices for the wine seemed to be quite high, but the selections were good."

  • "My wife and I visited 22 Square for our anniversary which happened to coincide with the last day of Restaurant Week. The service that we got from start to finish was excellent, our server was very attentive and able to answer any questions we had. We each picked different options for all 3 courses and were not disappointed by any of them. The portions were very generous compared to other offerings we have had during restaurant week and we loved the fact that everyone was ordering off the same menu. Other places we have been you almost felt guilty ordering Restaurant Week meals. The farm to fork aspect just made it that much better. It was nice to know that almost everything we ate there was local. I would recommend 22 Square to anyone!"

  • "Every dish on the menu looked great which made it hard to choose. Everyone in our party loved their dinners which were creatively prepared and presented. And the chocolate mousse was to die for! Erin really made the evening special with her suggestions and attentive service."

  • "Food and service was excellent. Ate here during Restaurant Week. Many other restaurants we have eaten at during previous restaurant weeks downplay that menu and make you ask for it; almost hide it. Here they offered only the restaurant week menu, which had a good variety and with reasonable portions - not a "lunch-size" portion of their regular dinner menu. Appetizers, bread, main dishes and desserts were all excellent. Wine was a bit costly - $10 was the least expensive glass. Only reason that I downgraded overall rating from 5 to 4 stars is because of the high noise level. They should consider adding some sound absorbent panels to the ceiling. Good view for people-watching on the City Market square."

  • "There were 8 of us and we were visiting Savannah. It was Restaurant week in Savannah when we went to 22 Square, so our menu choices were limited to those offered for Savannah's Restaurant Week. Even still, the choices were wonderful and, between the 8 of us, I think we tried everything that was offered. EVERYONE LOVED their meal! EVERYTHING was delicious!! Our waiter wasn't extremely attentive, but he may have been busy with other customers, though the restaurant didn't seem particularly crowded when we were there."

It seems to be a trendy thing for restaurants to go to concrete flooring, logical for them but not so customer friendly; very loud as the crowd grew. Overall - great food - I will be back!!"

  • "The service was great and so was the ambiance. However, I expected a more 'haute gourmet' experience when it came to the food. I went during Savannah Restaurant week and ordered the meatball and sausage pasta. The spaghetti tasted like regular durum wheat semolina out of a package, nothing hand made or special. I eat a lot of pasta, so know the difference! Dessert and starter soup were very good! My dinner guests loved what they ordered though (different than what I got)"

  • "This is an elegant place with modern decor and the service people are very knowledgeable and friendly. The restaurant proposes its food as from local farms. The descriptions of the plates are mouthwatering but tend to exaggerate what comes to the table. The pork belly and beans was a meager serving with two small fatty squares of meat and a spoon of bland white bean mixture. The chicken breast stuffed with smokey cheese and spinach as an entree was tiny with no discernible cheese in the breaded meat roll which was no more an two ounces of meat. A highlight was a slice blue cheese bread served while waiting for the food."

  • "The restaurant and the furniture is suprising un-elegant with clean, modern lines. But the food and service are so wonderful that it doesn't matter. We were there early (6 PM), so it was not full. There were other tables, yet it was very quiet - as if we were the only ones there. Our waitress was friendly and not over-bearing, but always rightt there if we needed her. She was very knowledgeable about the food and the wine. It was restaurant week (3 courses for $30), and 22 Square had more choices for each course than any of the other participating restaurants. It was a fabulous price for such great food."

  • "One of my Savannah favorites lately. This restaurant focuses on using locally sourced ingredients and the results are amazing. I recently enjoyed their take on low country boil. The shrimp were super flavorful (and already peeled yay) and there was a large portion of perfectly cooked fish on top...it was fantastic. The portions are plentiful and the service is friendly. I also love their brunch setup. They have several tables of fresh fruits, vegetable salads, pastries and then a cooking station that will cook up pretty much whatever you'd like."

  • "We tried 22 Square during Savannah's restaurant week and we could not have been happier with our choice! We were seated directly in front of the chef's prep table and our service was impeccable. The bread plate was delicious, especially the goat cheese and lemon bread! We ordered from the $30 prix fixe menu, which had a great number of selections when compared with the other restaurants participating in restaurant week. I enjoyed the heirloom tomato salad with shrimp ceviche, duck as my main course, and delectable grilled Georgia peaches for dessert. All in all, a wonderful meal with a fun, modern atmosphere! A must-try for anyone who loves food:)"

  • "We enjoyed our meal. The food was interesting, not great but solid. Charcuterie plate was not up to par. Salads were great. Fried chicken was flat, over cooked and bland. Tenderloin was very tasty and flavorful. Burger was very good too. Shrimp dishes were very good. We tried several dishes and overall we enjoyed our time. Wine list is not on caliber with the restaurant. I think they leave a lot of money on the table by not having a deeper list. Lastly the service was solid, our server did it right. I would just say she lacked hospitality, nothing wrong just not warm."

  • "I can't say enough about this restaurant! We loved it from the minute we walked in. It is open and airy with an organic feel. They are a Farm to Fork restaurant so whatever they don't get from local farms they make themselves and the hostess does a wonderful job of explaining the menu as it is broken down a bit differently. Our dinner was amazing! I have to also mention the bread basket they bring- out of this world! There are 3 varieties of house made bread and all are equally fabulous. We ordered dessert as well. It was good, but the other courses are definitely their strong point. Our waitress, Erin, was great. She was friendly, professional and answered all of our questions. This is a hidden gem!"

  • "My wife and I are here on June 27th. Being a Friday night, we thought it would hopping, especially because it is right next to Ellis square, but it was rather dead. The place is attached to the main lobby of a hotel and is connected by the bar area. Being one of only a couple people in the restaurant takes away from the experience for us. That being said, the food was excellent! The pork belly and slaw entree along with the shrimp and risotto were outstanding! So, go for the food, especially if you are a foodie. This place is farm to table, so the meny probably changes frequently and has some strange items on it, but it was all great."
