Special Events & Promotions: Capital Wine Festival It was so successful last year, The Fairfax in conjunction with 2100 Prime, will be hosting the 4th Annual Capital Wine Festival with the opening reception on Friday, January 25, 2013. Modeled after the prestigious Boston Wine Festival, we prepare special menus paired with wines from our sponsoring winemakers, showcasing wines from California and Oregon. Dinners are held every Tuesday, starting January 29 through March. The Opening reception is an opportunity to sample more than 30 wines from many wineries featured at the festival. Savor selections from a bountiful buffet of exquisite cuisine, along with wines from around the world. Tickets will be on sale beginning Dec. 1 for holiday gift giving.

"We went for Easter Brunch. First reaction: WAY overpriced for what we got. A limited buffet, a plate of ordered food (which arrived very late and was decidedly pedestrian), and a desert bar that the staff kept letting get dangerously low so that it appeared as if they didn't have any desserts to go with the overpriced brunch. Our waiter had an attitude and was seldom to be found and the restaurant looks like a Holiday Inn restaurant with absolutely NO atmosphere at all. All in all, overpriced and lousy."

"I expected a lot for this $50 per person Easter Brunch. I was disappointed when the waiter rushed our order and was not very nice at all. My eggs Benedict was pretty good but, again, not a $50 meal. My dad had the prime rib and they didn't even ask him how he wanted it cooked and he was not impressed by the piece of meat. Overall a bit disappointing"

"Once again, 2100 Prime was an outstanding dining experience, and especially thanks to our server, Ben, who made the evening most enjoyable. We all had the Dover Sole for the entrée and it proved a winner again too."

"I made reservations at this restaurant because it was posted all over the Top 100 articles. When I entered for an 8pm reservation there were only 2 tables in use and no more than 4 visible staff members including the maitre'd which let me know they knew they weren't going to have any patrons. I had a drink and an appetizer while making a reservation elsewhere and the sauce with the crabcake tasted like an infants pea soup. The staff was very friendly and helpful but until they fix their food quality and get more of an atmosphere, I don't see a need ot go back."

"We so enjoyed the fresh bread arriving at our table almost instantly as we sat down. The salads were absolutely delicious..mine a mixed green salad had just the right amount of dressing. My daughter enjoyed the ceasar salad. With that said, we thought the entree selections we had made would be as good. It was sadly not the case. My steak au poivre was gristly and her shrimp a bit rubbery. The food was tasty but texture was not to our liking. A good experience overall."

"This used go be a good place but it isn't now. The service was terrible - slow, uninformed, uninterested. We did not receive what we ordered for one of our cocktails. A dinner salad was enough for five people - quite unattractively presented and not very good either, the ambiance was almost grim; half empty despite it being Valentine's Day and being told me would have to come at -6:15 in order to be seated at all. All that for a high price. will not recommend this place."
