We had a set menu and it was great! We had some linguini with salmon which was very fresh and tasty, as well as a steak, which was a little dry, but was well balanced by the butter sauce.

I went once and had the 3 small plates for $26, and it was so good, I went back the next night for the larger 3 courses for $36. Both times, I was dining alone and was able to have a pleasant, slow dinner while catching up on some reading.

A truly great choice for good quality really tasty meals. I had the chicken and my wife the lamb. Both main courses were excellent, the chicken was moist with crunchy skin and tasty gravy. My wife said the lamb rivalled that of a much more expensive restaurant. The appetizers were mushroom caps and bacon wrapped filet, was especially flavorful.Desert was average and not the same quality as the rest of the meal. But still 4 stars. We will definitely be back.

This was a great find!!! My girlfriend and I took advantage of their fall special, 3 for $36. I started with the prawns and she got the mussels. Both were excellent, full of flavor. Definitely get a basket of bread with these starters, you will definitely not want to let these sauces go to waiste!! For the main course she had the cod and I had the lamb chop (our server's personal favorite). Both were prepared perfectly. Very fresh, nice presentation, and a good compliment of vegetables. Service was excellent, the main dining area was well lit and very comfortable. There is also a cute lounge above the main dining area that was playing ski movies. I highly recommend this restaurant for any occasion!!

My wife and I are visiting Whistler this week. We looked at reviews of many restaurants here and settled on 21 Steps to celebrate our 45th anniversary. We were not disappointed. My wife ordered the pork schnitzel and I the rib eye steak. It was the best steak I have had in several years. Rose loved the schnitzel. The portions were large enough to take back to our condo for another meal. Also our server was friendly and very attentive to our needs.

I first found this spot in Whistler 2 years ago when my sister and mom were in town visiting. It was an exceptional dining experience. I just had the opportunity to go back and it hasn't changed at all. Very high quality ingredients cooked to perfection at a very reasonable price. You really can't go wrong with anything on their menu

I've been coming to Whistler since I was a kid, and nothing has topped the meal I had here. The $36 three course meal was a steal with an apply, main and dessert. You have to try the fried chicken (with amazing honey) prawns and stuffed mushroom caps! Unreal! We all had the pasta with sausage, and the sausage was massive and full of flavor. I've had better desserts, but all in all a gem in Whistler!!

We enjoyed our meal at 21. Given the rating on OpenTable we were looking forward to an above average dining experience with our expectations falling within the limits of their price range. We found the Fixed Price Menu to be a positive and both of us ordered it so we could sample small and large plates as well as dessert. Our appies and mains were tasty and we were pleased with the portion sizes. The crumble for dessert was a disappointment...seemed undercooked. I really liked that I could have a specialty coffee instead of dessert as I was very full by then. So, as I said, a good dining experience overall. They were, in my opinion, simply too busy to be able to achieve an outstanding rating.

  • Why Charge for Bread?

We liked the fact that we left a message on their phone to change reservation to 8 instead of 6 and the manager phoned back and confirmed it would be fine that they can accommodate 8 people. Our waiter was outgoing with a great sense of humour and the food was well presented but I found my steak a little salty and my first drink was sent back because I didn't like it so it was replaced with a different drink. I was surprised that we were charged for bread! That's all.

The food was only ok. For the price, I would have expected better. I was a little disappointed that you had to pay for break because of waste management. Just tell the truth and charge for bread don't pretend like it's cause of waste management that you're doing it. Felt a bit scammed. Overall, probably wouldn't go back.

The table settings at the restaurant, I find, can be improved. The noise level of the restaurant can be a little bit quieter but if you're dining with family, the atmosphere would be suitable. The food was good and service can be improved on. Overall experience was good.

All food items were quite good. It took a while for the food to arrive but we weren't in any hurry so it was okay. We would probably dine here again.

I chose this place for my birthday because the menu looked interesting and my husband and I have never tried this restaurant before. We were not disappointed. The restaurant was casual but the food was as delicious as the fine dining restaurants. We were seated by a window and had a wonderful view of the mountains and the Village. The staff also brought out my dessert with a candle and sang the birthday song to me. This was a very special touch. I truly enjoyed my birthday dinner and I am glad I did choose this restaurant.

Good table, restaurant could definitely do with air conditioning. Quite hot at times. If the day is hot then this restaurant is quite warm. They do open windows, but not always a breeze.Takes time to cool down. Some working at Whistler may be used to the heat, but travelers may not be. & escaping to restaurant to cool off, not heat up. However, Server efficient & nice & ready to answer questions. Family loves the food There. Little on pricier side but delicious dinner. Served in good time, enjoyable meal & evening.

Their fried chicken tapas were great. I went with the linguini puttanesca and it was excellent, thought it might be too salty by its nature. Summer note: it's really quite warm in the main restaurant level (the afternoon sun shines right in), and the bar upstairs is a bit smokey.

Our server was attentive, fast and had a great knowledge of the menu and drink menu. This was the last place we ate on our honeymoon and it made our trip. The food was incredible! My husband is vegetarian and it's really hard to find a spot to eat where he has more than one or two options, so it was great to find a nice place to eat where he didn't have any trouble with dietary options. All the food came out fast and the portion sizes were perfect. I only wish I saved room for dessert. The chefs and all the staff there have my thanks for a wonderful evening. :)

Both of us have choosen the 3-course-dinner-special for 36 CAD. Big menu card to choose an entrée & a main course. So everybody should definitely find something he likes. Already the starter ( smoked salmon & ceasar salad ) was a very generous plate & tasty. Even so the main course ( bacon wrapped beef filet & salmon steak ). At the end, we could choose a dessert from a separate menu card ( cheesecake & blueberry crumble ). On top of that, friendly & courteous waiter. Nice atmosphere, enough space to eat and clean toilettes. Definitely worth to go there.

We were there for a birthday celebration. All of our meals were cooked as requested and we were very pleased. One group of partiers close to us were sometimes a bit obnoxious and kept coming to a different table next to us to enjoy themselves more; they were a bit on the loud side and because of lack of space were continuously knocking into at least one of us at our table each time. However, everything else was so nice and the menu had plenty of options for everyone.

Service was great! Okay food, I had the rib eye steak which I ordered medium-rare and was served medium. This was fine because the steak had a lot of flavour. My husband ordered the ribs which came with way too much sauce. Once he scraped the excess sauce off he said they were okay.

We booked 21 steps for our nice dinner out this past weekend. We arrived a few minutes early and our table was ready. Looked over the menu and decided what we would be having. Ordered our drinks and appy's at the same time. Didn't even get a sip of our drink and appy's arrived way to fast. Are they precooked in the back. Faster than McDonalds. I am not saying this is a bad thing but when you are looking for a nice dinner out way to fast. Quickly drank our drinks as we wanted wine with dinner. Dinner came just as fast. I truly felt this experience was like being at a fast food restaurant. We both had steak and it was okay nothing special. I had the filet and it was very chewy.
