21 Steps Kitchen + BarBest restaurant in Whistler!I have eaten here many times and its always fantastic. On this occasion, we were celebrting my mum's 60th birthday and it didn't diappoint. Food was excellent, service friendly and very helpful. They gave my mum a special birthday dessert as they had seen as giving presents and taken an interest. This is by far the best place to eat in Whistler at a very reasonable price and friendly relxed atmosphere. I always reccommend to anyone looking for a dinner reservation.11/4/2013 12:00:00 AMThis is our second meal atThis is our second meal at 21 Steps and it was as good or better than the first. The service was extremely good and our meals arrived almost instantly after we ordered them. The staff were friendly, knowledgeable and patient. we would defintitely recommend 21 Steps to anyone wanting a high quality meal at Whistler Village.11/3/2013 12:00:00 AMGreat food, not great serviceGreat food, but not great service. "Unenthusiastic" is a good way to describe our server. Good menu, everyone in our group enjoyed their meals. The pork tenderloin pasta dish is excellent.10/4/2013 12:00:00 AMAs usual we enjoyed our mealAs usual we enjoyed our meal at 21 Steps. Whenever we come to Whistler it is on our dine out list. Tried a couple of old time favourites (scallops) and tried a couple of new things (Queso Fundido, vegetarian curry stir fry) and really enjoyed both of them.8/4/2013 12:00:00 AMOrdered very 'ordinary' food,Ordered very 'ordinary' food, fish and chicken dishes, and we were very impressed by the taste and presentation of the food so very good service from the kitchen. The chicken and fish were on a good portion of risotto rice that was delicious as it soaked up the nice rather buttery juices from the dishes. Only (minor) gripe is that the vegetable serving was a bit stingy with just around four green beans and one asparagus spear each.
Dessert, chose blueberry crumble and this tasted good but was slightly blueberry heavy and crumble-short. Ice cream that came with it was average.
Service outstanding. Despite being a busy full house, we were given what we wanted straight away and drinks were replenished quickly. Excellent.7/4/2013 12:00:00 AMGreat Foodfirst time visit and each plate we tried gave us a wonderful dining experience. We certainly will be recommending 21 Steps to all our friends. Quiet and pleasurable.6/12/2013 12:00:00 AMGreat Dinner in the VillageA co-worker of mine had recommended 21 Steps to me for my trip up to Whistler and it defiantly did not disappoint. We were lucky enough to go when they were offering a 3 course menu for $35 and you could pick from anything on the regular menu (some items such as steak and lamb had a surcharge of up to $7, but really it was worth it). The food was great and the drinks were pretty darn good as well.
The only suggestion I would make is definatly try to get a reservation, we had one for 6pm and when we got there it was more or less empty but within 10mins the place was PACKED! There is the additional "attic" area upstairs, but I am pretty sure that was full as well. Overall a great night out!6/8/2013 12:00:00 AMThis was our second time andThis was our second time and the food is excellent as well as the service. The appetizers are incredible. I will say though my son's ribs were not good at all, they were over processed and too much sauce. The fried goat cheese is excellent!6/7/2013 12:00:00 AMExcellent food! Great service!Excellent food! Great service! We went in the off season and it was busy. Can't imagine what it is like during the peak season.
And yes. You have to go up 21 steps to get to the restaurant.6/1/2013 12:00:00 AMLove this place!Everything about it! The service was perfect, the food perfect, everything perfect! Celebrated my 40th birthday there with 5 close friends. We all raved and raved about what a perfect night it was.5/25/2013 12:00:00 AMDINE AROUND WHISTLERI had the pork chop even though I prefer my meat rare. It was juice and tender, good. There was a puddle of water under the Pork chop that mixed in with the mashed potatoes, not good. The chutney was rich and excellent. my husband had the pork tenderloin and pasta and I quite envied him. Desert was creme brule perfect. We left very full and satisfied. Our server was very attentive, pleasant, couldn't ask for more.
Thank You for a great experience!5/3/2013 12:00:00 AM
