Turns out my wife LOVED the restaurant, loved the ambiance and loved the food. I was elated. She even called my daughters (26 and 32 years old) about the Wednesday wine special. I know were their going on Wednesdays now. Yes, we will be back on every occasion we can concoct. Oh, the food was out of this world and very reasonably priced. I would recommend it to anyone who enjoys good food.5/4/2013 12:00:00 AMNot our first time at 21 mainNot our first time at 21 main and will not be our last looking foward to our next vist the food outstanding and service verry attentive. we have dinning at 21 main for years and this time I finally splurged and ordered the 38 oz bone in rib eye witch was the best piece of meat I have ever had cook to perfection and not to mention the whole dinning room looking at the almost 2!foot bone on my plate makeing me feel like a king being served at a royal dinner!! They have changed the menu, and sevaral of the new offerings were quite tasty (the shrimp and filet mignon and new pear salad are two examples). A Great combo!We sat at the bar and were taken care of immediately. Stephanie the bartender was awesome. With a full bar , she did a great job. It was wine down Wednesday - which was explained that its half priced bottles of wine all night. My gf and I ordered a bottle and we had it in no time. We ordered the clam casinos and calamari for apps and for dinner my gf had the filet and shrimp entree and I had the 12 oz angus skirt steak. Everything was outstanding and cooked to perfection. The place is gorgeous, so warm and inviting! The service was on point and the food was out of this word. I had filet and she had the tuna steak. Both were delicious .Their wine list was full of variety and they informed us that they have a wine special on Wednesdays I will definitely be back to try that. From the the service to the food it shines over most other steak houses on Long Island . I had the porterhouse witch was cooked to perfection and my wife had the scallops witch she had said the best she has ever had. Then there's the Mac and cheese like no other the very knowlogable staff had recommended witch was undeniable the best Mac and cheese we have ever tasted. From the moment you walk in your greeted by a friendly host ( same girl since we've been going. After your seated , the Service is exceptional. Our server was Tom. He's excellent. Throughout the meal we are checked on by the manager. The food is delicious & always cooked exactly as we ask. We can't rave about this restaurant enough.
