I wouldn't even blame the wait staff as the waiter was fine. I would say they need someone experienced to expedite. I know we weren't the only ones waiting."

  • "In February, I enjoyed an amazing dinner at the James Beard House in NYC. Thus was the best meal I've had since then. It was certainly the best steak I've had in a very long time. Everything my party had was excellent. I'm not going to go on forever because this place is just outstanding; it's that simple. The restaurant itself was beautiful, the service was great and I've already talked about the food. Having been to a few of the world's best restaurants, 21 Main is, no exaggeration, up in that league. If you're disappointed you're tastes are too high or your luck is really bad and your went on a terribly off night."

  • "I have been to 21 Main several times in the past, however this dining experience was very disappointing. The beef used for the carpaccio had been cooked almost like a prime rib as the edges were brown and seasoned, the slices were thick and the meat was not rare. We ordered the Colorado Lamb and the Sea Scallops. Both were overly salted and the scallops were overcooked. I will say the macaroni & cheese au gratin was fantastic. We did not say anything to the server regarding the food quality as we are not ones to send food back. In a restaurant of this caliber, the Chef should be checking everything that leaves the kitchen. On another note, all the servers (ours included) except one seemed unhappy to be working."

  • "Visited NMB for Spring Break and chose 21 Main based on other OT reviews. Although it is a fine dining restaurant, we came in casual clothes and felt very comfortable. I ordered the petite filet with asparagus...cooked to perfection. Husband ordered the lamb...said it was the BEST he'd ever had, truly an explosion of flavor, would highly recommend it! Son ordered the 20 oz. ribeye...was slightly undercooked at first try, they immediately and graciously got the cook right when it was sent back. Daughter ordered the Santa Barbara roll...was a little disappointed. The Brandy Collins from the bar was exceptional. Topped it off with the chocolate spring rolls...yummy! Would recommend 21 Main to locals and visitors."

The restaurant would benefit from better pictures on its website that depict the lively atmosphere and great ambiance we experienced. If I am ever forced to come back to Myrtle Beach again, I would definitely dine here again. Top Notch."

  • "We had very good salads and one good entree - the fillet beef tips but the lamb shank was super salty. Second time we ordered this entree and never again, even saltier than last time. Capers, kalamata olives and salted potatoes? Not a good combo. Our server Sherman was very good."

  • "Too expensive for the food served. Steak was tough,gristly, fatty. Fish not adequately cooked,and I've eaten tuna fish out of cans with more flavor than this tuna dinner. At $27 per entree--they did NOT deliver a quality experience. Lettuce wedge, French onion soup, and whipped potatoes were good. Otherwise, too much for too little. Not recommended. I gave it fair for the 3 items that were actually quite good, but the main courses were definitely poor!"

  • "Have been to 21 Main for happy hour several times - always enjoyed. This was first time for dinner. In one word - amazing! Patrick, our server was top notch. His customer service skills are rare. He sure knows how to make a person feel very welcome & comfortable. The food, which was served in such a timely manner, was absolutely superb in taste as well as presentation. Thank you 21 Main for such an wonderful evening!"

  • "My boyfriend and I went last weekend. I ordered the petite filet mignon and he ordered the country ny strip. Both of them are cooked to perfection. If you want it rare, they will definitely do it for you. Our waiter was very personable and friendly, we liked him right away. Henever let our drinks get empty. He seemed like he loved his job. I would go back for sure."

The appetizers were fantastic the soup was terrific, but just a tease for shay was left to come . The dinner was delicious, one of the very best meals I have ever had.   • "Celebrated our wedding anniversary and had a wonderful dinner. Started with sushi as an appetizer. My husband had the Ahi Tuna which he loved and I had the Scallops which were very good. Dessert was excellent. Hubby had the spring rolls with chocolate, very rich. I had the cheesecake with caramel sauce and pecans....divine. The wait staff was very helpful and professional. Will definitely be back!"

  • "My party and I dined here for my sister's 27th Birthday. We had a party of 9. Everything came out correctly and at an appropriate pace. I ordered a Strawberry-lemon drop martini. It was absolutely outstanding! The food was good. Mac & cheese Au Gratin are an EXCELLENT choice. Mashed potatoes not so much. Sushi was deliciously."

  • "Upon walking in we has high hopes. The waiter who brought us our drinks was vibrant and upbeat. Our actual server however was impossible to hear and not very personable. The building is obviously converted from something else, but nothing was added to soak up sound waves. Everything echoed which made the people at the bar sound like they were right next to you."

I ordered from the sushi menu and my boyfriend ordered steak and both were outstanding. Justin also recommended perfect starter salads before our meal. We will definitely be going back when we visit South Carolina again. Wonderful restaurant!"

It had a romantic feel and a very nice setting. The best part was definitely the food! The filet mignon was the best steak I have ever had! We are definitely going back next year, if not before then!"

  • "Since this is February this restaurant was fairly quiet. We had the onion soup and house salad. Both were excellent. I had the fillet tips and the other was a delmonico. Both were well prepared. Side of spinach was huge abnd tasty. Our waiter, Patrick, was attentive and courteous. Our experience here was excellent."

  • "Found 21 Main last time we were at MB and fell in love. Went back again to make sure it was all we thought and we were blown away agin! The Sushi rolls were amazing! I typically don't order steak out bc I can make a better steak at home than most places. Not here! The Delmonico was absolutely delicious! Ordered MR and it was perfect! So tender and seasoned to bring out the most flavor and not overwhelm. Potato Crochets are always a good choice and my daughter thoroughly enjoyed her Mac and Cheese (as did I when she wasn't looking!) We were stuffed but had to try the Chocolate Spring Rolls with Caramel cream sauce, whipped cream and Maraschino Cherry Ice Cream. Wow! It was SO good! This will ALWAYS be our Go To Place whenever we visit MB!"

  • "Celebrating a birthday on a Sunday evening in Myrtle Beach could be a challenge. 21 Main did not fail in delivering a wonderful dining experience. The restaurant was quite with a few other diners but very relaxing and a gentle ambiance. Our waiter, Patrick, was knowledgable and delightful. We ordered the calamari and lump crab salad to start. Both were very tasty, served with an assortment of dipping sauces, the crab was particularly good. Main course of NY strip and beef filet tips. Cooked to perfection, the filet tips are served in a dish with creamed potato and a selection of mushroom and onion in a gravy sauce. Wonderful small plate. No dessert this time, instead accompanied the meal with a Moët champagne. Highly recommend you visit."

  • "Should not have the word steakhouse in its title ... Steaks are limp , grey and cool on delivery.. No sear. Bartender and staff know zero about wines.. Better white wines on the list are stored hot not kept cool...not talking about cold... Warm... Delivered to the table ... And put in a cold sleeve which wouldn't cool a 12 ounce water bottle.. The best thing about this place is the front desk and the nice decor.. oh and the sushi chef which is top notch.. The kitchen does Chilean sea bass well..but everyone knows a 5 year old can cook it right as you can't overlook it.. Steaks are served cold... Just not a place to go... Tried 3 times... No change.. Done."

  • "The resturant was 3/4 empty, but yet they didn't have my table fo 10 ready. The bar was small and my guest had to stand to wait for the table to be prepared in the empty resturant. The special appitizer that I ordered was scallops. My server should have informed me that it was only one scallop with a table of 10. My guest who had steak informed me it was less than desireable and wished we would have gone to Ruth's Chris. I was utterly embarrased when I heard these comments. However, I shared in the thought that I should have gone to Ruth's Chris. I ordered "Colorado Lamb" and received nothing of the sort. I have eaten lamb in Colorado and was nothing like the fatty piece of meat I received on my plate. I literally only got 5 bits of meat."

  • "My wife and I ate here while staying at the North Beach Plantation towers. The is definitely upscale. We had a sushi appetizer at the bar that was delicious. We were promptly seated at our reserved time. We both ordered the surf and turf special. Its a good thing that they serve a really nice basket of house made breads because it took FOREVER to get our food. This is my biggest gripe with this restaurant, they were not crowded, there was plenty of staff, it just took so long to serve us the various courses. The food was very good, the filet (turf) was cooked to perfection and was very favorable and tender."
