  • "We enjoyed everything about our experience. The food was delicious, our server Brandy was delightful and very attentive, and the hostess staff were very pleasant. We had requested an outdoor table and when we were seated we found ourselves in a courtyard along the wall. We did enjoy the quiet and were the only couple outside accept for the occasional smoker from inside. The noise from the resturant inside made the outside much more pleasant because it was quiet but the setup was a bit strange feeling. At one point a guest of the property drug his suitcase past our table twice which was less enjoyable. Overall we loved it and definitely plan to return."

  • "Everything from start to finish was great. Wedge salad-AWESOME. Lump Crabmeat-AWESOME. Then for dinner we had the NY Strip and the Delmonico. Both were cooked to perfection. On the side we had the creamed spinach and sweet potato-both to die for. Prices are high, so bring your wallet! But well worth the $$$$. Food, service, was excellent."

  • "While this was not my first visit the actual food left me wanting something more this time. Steak was just okay and a bit overcooked. Lobster bisque was a bit on the sweet side. Almost too much tomato. The mashed potatoes were flavorless. The hostess team gave me the eye when they saw I dared bring my three children, including a toddler for dinner. You know because us parents don't deserve a good meal on vacation...the server was much nicer and accommodating. He's the only reason they get a four rating instead of two or three. He made my little ones very happy with his special chocolate milk recipe and even brought them extra bread and butter. Next time I will probably just head over to Ruth's Chris."

  • "We liked 21 Main so well we actually went twice in one week while on vacation. We changed up the selection and both times the food was excellent. They also take reservations which is rare for a beach estaurant during the middle of the summer. Our waiter, Bo, did a great job knowing just when to come back to the table and never rushed us. We asked for him the secod visit and he was equally good. Overall this restaurant is a great choice."

  • "My husband and I attended for dinner away from the children and grandchildren on our last night at Myrtle Beach. Food was awesome, nice astmosphere, the service was the best... We will go there again for sure... He loved the sushi and I loved the filet with mashed potatoes and blue cheese wedge salad ."

  • "Made reservations for a large group on Friday evening following a business meeting. Table was ready in a very busy restaurant with many large parties being served. A little slow until the waiter came, but from then on, the service was perfect. Great wine list! The lobster bisque was, to several of us, the best ever! Steaks were cooked to order and tender, well marbleized and delicious. At the late hour we passed on dessert, but had a wonderful late evening meal."

  • "Never grinned so much as when they brought their Tomahawk steak out! It was a 40 oz prime cut ribeye. The cut reminded me of a "Fred Flintstone steak". It was delicious! I shared the steak (5 dollar share charge). I took the rest home and had another meal for two. I cut the bone from the steak in half and had enough for both dogs. Added the side of two scallops-underbelieveable! The creamed spinach and mac and cheese were wonderful! Had the strawberry key lime pie for dessert. It was a little too sweet. Personally, I like the traditional key lime. It's hard to beat a classic! Service was attentive-Thanks Whitney!"

  • "Great place to get a steak, sushi &/or your favorite seafood in a part of the world where everyone serves steak & seafood. Good location on a private resort plus the menu is a bit upper class so that tends to keep the noisier crowd away. Kids are welcome & have a specific menu with a simpler, albeit limited food selection. Our party was 6 strong so while it took around 45 minutes to prepare our meals, which did get the kids a bit restless, it was well worth the wait. I had a cup of the lobster bisque & the scallops 21. I barely finished as the scallops are around half dollar sized & around 3/4"-1" thick. Our bill was a little over $200, which for 6, with only 2 ordering from the kids menu, is reasonably priced. We'll definitely return."

  • "This was the first time we had eaten at this restaurant. I found it on the internet in a Golf Review magazine. It had excellent ratings so we thought we would try it for our 40th wedding anniversary. It was fantastic. Best steak I've had in twenty years. The service was great, also. I would recommend it highly to anyone looking for a great meal with great service."

We had four kids with us and we did not feel out of place, very good atmosphere and ambience, dressed up but too much. Steaks were great along with the rest of the food, we will definitely be back when we return to N. Myrtle Beach."

  • "We had the 16 oz NY strip - with mushrooms - Oysters Rockefeller-Wedge Salad - Shrimp N Grits- Martini and Cocktails - Food was very tasty - Our Server Trent was excellent and friendly - only negative was busgirl who hung about constantly trying to take away dishes before we were finished - management needs to take note that dishes and plates do not get removed until everyone is finished !!!"

  • "Our dining experience was great. The food was excellent, the service was excellent, the presentation was excellent and the portions were just right. Patrick did a great job taking care of us and making sure that our honeymoon diner was memorable. I fear that we didn’t reward him enough with our gratuity. My bride ordered the Scallops with risotto, I ordered the sirloin tips. Both entrees were very satisfying. If we are fortunate enough to dine at 21 Main again we will request to be seated in Patrick’s serving area and we will make sure that we compensate him generously. Also, somehow the resort shuttle arrived just as we were leaving the table as if they knew we were done. I assume someone at 21 Main made that timely arrangement for us."

  • "Warm welcome and seated quickly, restaurant was not busy. Ordered mussels and lump crab salad to start, both were well prepared. Main course of whole branzini fish and New York strip steak. Fish was delicious and served with orzo. Steak well prepared and very tasty. Had praline ice cream for dessert, not sure if this was home made but tasted wonderful. Ordered champagne but it arrived warm. Our waiter took it back and we waited while the bartender put it on ice to chill it. Not quite what I expected for this quality of restaurant. Overall experience was favorable and we will dine there again."

The food was great, the service was great and the ambiance was great. I would definitely recommend it and will visit again. Make sure you try the Creamed Corn!"

  • "I have been frequenting 21 Main since it opened and it has been, until last night, my restaurant of choice on the north end of the beach for entertaining friends. Service has always been on the slow side of the equation but nothing that warranted a bad review. However, last night's slow service coupled with an admitted incorrect main course order delivered to our dinner guest has now spurred this complaint. Perhaps it would've been overlooked had the manager offered to take it off our bill. The managers response only offered free dessert.....to a diabetic. As a business owner, I know mistakes/errors happen. Yet, there is always an opportunity for management to make things right. 21 Main management did not take this opportunity."

  • "My husband and I booked a table to have a date night at a NICE restaurant before leaving North Myrtle Beach. 21 Main had a limited menu, but the food was excellent...except for the fried spinach side dish! It was so greasy, it was not edible. The CREAMED spinach was amazing. My husband's tuna was excellently cooked as were my scallops. The mushroom risotto was excellent. Dessert was very good, but the bacon maple ice cream, although innovative, we didn't enjoy it much. The service was exemplary. We were looking for a place to dress up a bit, and that did not disappoint. The only issue I had was the noise. The open space and marble floors made for a noisy ambiance, and the televisions over the bar were not appreciated by the diners. "

  • "The sushi was so amazing. It had the most complex flavor profile that I've ever tasted in sushi. The ahi tuna was really good too. The light sauce it was served on was delicious. I highly recommend this restaurant for a romantic evening out or for those looking for some amazing food. I didn't have the steak, but it looked really good when they brought it out to the other tables. There is no dress code for this place."

We visited on a Monday night for a Birthday celebration and were pleasantly greeted by the Hostess and given a lovely table by the window. Patrick was a great server and we truly enjoyed our evening. We will be back again and again - it really is turning into our favorite place to dine!"

  • "Overall a very nice experience. Went there about 4 times so far, and I cannot say the food is excellent, but I can say that it is quite good, and the service was very, very good and attentive. My wife had beef tips in mushroom sauce with mashed potatoes. The tips were tasty in the mushroom sauce, but just a little on the bland side. The mashed potatoes were simply average. I make much better ones that those. I had filet mignon, and I asked for it medium, and due to the thickness came out a little rare in the center, but understandable. Very nice taste, but not like Ruth Chris or anything like that. As a side I had creamed spinach, and the spinach was good, but the "cream" was too liquidy for my taste. Nice friendly environment overall."

  • "We dined Sunday night. Matt was our server. He was nice. He seemed a little too busy however to give us undivided attention. We had to ask for bread and butter a couple of times. We were never offered cracked pepper. We had to ask for more wine. Took him a while to check back on us when we got our dinner. We never got steak knives. We were not asked if we wanted dessert or coffee, bill was just brought to table. Food was delightful. Hostesses were nice and polite. Beautiful place."

  • "Great local restaurant for North Beach Plantation guest! After a long day at the beach and pool we didn't want to drive anywhere so popped in for a bit. Great sushi bar and drink menu to choose from. They also have a great Ribeye here. They'll push for the strip but I find the ribeye to be a better flavored steak. "

  • "We have enjoyed 21 Main the last few years on beach trips. The food is consistently good and the menu has a good breadth that satisfies the entire family. They do tend to be heavy on the salt, which I enjoy but could be too much for some. Service was ok this time, but not enough to detract from an enjoyable meal. We will be back next trip. "

  • "When we drove up to the beautiful building there were no clues as to where to park; so we guested, headed around back and entered thru a back door.(Not Good) At such an upscale restaurant we expected valet parking. We were disappointed there were no intimate booths or semi private areas; all tables were in middle of huge room; TV going over bar rather than piano or background music; large group of young men came piling in for dining room behind us; they were noisy. We were surprised at dress code; guess there is not much you an do about that; flip flops, shorts, old jeans, t shirts, etc.. The good part; we had a great waiter, Sherman, excellent food except the mussels; they were tiny; smallest I have ever seen."

  • "We have dined at 21 Main every time we stayed at North Beach plantation. When we were there in February we ate there all three nights because we loved it so much. Notice the past tense. The food is still delicious but the hostess and the server had attitudes that made us not want to go back. The hostess argued with us about wanting to go to the bar to get drinks before being seated our table. Then the server (Karen, whom we've had before) is always so unfriendly and acts like she'd rather be anywhere but there. 21 Main does not seem as busy as it used to be. I think we know why. The only friendly person was the water/bread guy and he was awesome."

We have dined in some of the most expensive restaurants in Myrtle Beach but this one was by far the best! Compliments to the Chef and all of the staff. That was our first time but will not be the last."

I wouldn't even blame the wait staff as the waiter was fine. I would say they need someone experienced to expedite. I know we weren't the only ones waiting."
