20nine Restaurant & Wine BarBest carpaccio in SAHeirloom tomato salad was fantastic. Don't understand why it was served on top of a piece of burned toast. Shrimp and grits with scallops another dish not to skip. Wine crispy and cold. Wonder why so few people were there on a Friday night. Service prompt and professional.5/17/2013 12:00:00 AMDelicious food and wine selectionNice place and the food tasted great. The lighting indoors was a little bit too dark for my liking, but overall very nice place.
Nice selection of entrees and main courses and the wine selection is extensive.
I would recommend it to my friends.5/11/2013 12:00:00 AMGREAT FOR GATHERINGI LOVED THIS PLACE. BEAUTIFULLY DECORATED AND THE CHANDELIER WAS GORGEOUS!5/1/2013 12:00:00 AMWe went on a Friday nightWe went on a Friday night with another couple and we all really enjoyed 20nine.
The mussels were excellent as well as our main entrees.
We will all be going back soon.4/5/2013 12:00:00 AMPleased!!The food was fantastic and so was the service. We went to celebrate a friend's birthday because she is a wine lover and we found this tobe a great choice. I plan to go back very soon!4/2/2013 12:00:00 AMCan't speak for brunch orCan't speak for brunch or lunch, but dinner is wonderful.3/27/2013 12:00:00 AMA Great Wine and Fine Dine Spot20Nine has been down a long, mixed road of owners, chefs, staff and quality, but we have to say that our last three visits over the past 4 months have proven to be fantastic. We tend to focus on service - because there is a lot of bad service in SA - and 20Nine really has it down, from the hostesses all the way to very excellent busser, (we don't know her name but if you watch carefully she really keeps the restaurant moving!). Good service is the key to NOT ruining a great meal, and the food for the past maybe year has been both excellent AND consistent, (another SA problem). The menu is varied and "foodie" without being pretentious, and the portions are right for the price. Wine is off the charts too.3/22/2013 12:00:00 AMThe food was of great portions,The food was of great portions, presented well and of excellent taste. We (my wife and I) enjoyed the "wine trails" which allowed us to sample 3 wines from different regions at the same time. My "Linguine Pescatore" was "To Die For" and with a few hot chili peppers sprinkled over it, makes it a true South Texas favorite!3/22/2013 12:00:00 AMPleasant atmosphere, excellentPleasant atmosphere, excellent service (by Manny), and the food was superb! Especially liked the wine tasting option.3/17/2013 12:00:00 AMThe food was very good andThe food was very good and service was outstanding. Very friendly, accommodating server. nice place for trying different wines and lot of small plate/appetizer samplings. The apple walnut bread pudding was outstanding!3/15/2013 12:00:00 AMAnother fine meal at 20nine.Another fine meal at 20nine. The food continues to improve - it use to be that only the pizzas were worth eating, but the entrees are now quite good too. We had apork chop and a venision stack that were both quite delicious. But the reason to go to 20nine is the wine. An excellent list with mostly US choices but some a reasonable sampling from around the world. Ask Rudy, the bartender for suggestions - he has turned us onto some great wines, Turley zins, Orrin Swift, and many more.3/15/2013 12:00:00 AM
