  • "We are always welcomed always leave happy. The favorite restaurant of my wife and I! The calimari, the shrimp and grits, the steak au poive, the flourless chowcolate cake. The above is my favorite meal on the planet! Served with a great wine by Greg!"

  • "The back room was great, secluded and quiet. Robbie gave us great service and got our menu modifications. Great filets, grits and fried green tomatoes are wonderful. Definitely one of our favorite places to eat."

  • "My wife and I had no ideal this restaurant would be so great. The food, service and the staff just wonderful. The steak was cooked to perfection, no sauce needed. The lighting and music just right for couples. A must for all couples, groups and individuals who want to be in the hot spot for Shreveport/ Bossier City. We enjoyed 2 Johns and you will too."

  • "Very good venue for a private romantic special occasion. Food and service was outstanding. Felt it was a bit overpriced but considering the professionalism of the wait staff I'm sure they are well paid, as should be. We would go there again to celebrate an anniversary or other special event."

  • "The service was great. The owner called to confirm the reservation and answer any questions. This was our first time dining here. My in-laws were celebrating their 49th wedding anniversary. They enjoyed their meal. It was a good pick."

  • "My wife and I celebrated our 42nd Wedding Anniversary on Tues. June 17th, 2014. We started off with dinner at Two Johns and as we arrived we noticed that there was only one valet guy and he had just hopped in the car ahead of us and we assumed we would have to wait but instead he pulled up to allow us to park in the door way and came back to open the door for my wife. Nice touch! We were led to our table to find a dozen red roses and a bottle of champagne as requested. The crab cakes were fresh and hot. The ribeye and the fillet were awesome! The blackberry cobbler a la mode was very good as well. As we walked out to give our stub to the ballet guy he was driving up in my truck! Nice!"

  • "Our waiter knew the wine list in and out. He paired food wonderfully. Was not pushy, suggested just the right things, showed up exactly when needed with impeccable course timing. And the food, well, it was melt in your mouth perfect. From the calamari to the steaks. And the Italian red wine... Loved it"

  • "4 of us dined at 2Johns. The food was fabulous! We had calamari and shrimp cocktail for appetizers and they were wonderful! The salmon was prepared and cooked perfect - not overcooked and not undercooked! We ended our meals with crème brulee and bread pudding. I didn't taste the bread pudding because I was enjoying the crème brulee so much! Josh our waiter was exceptional!!! Will definitely go back and bring family and friends!"

  • "The price of the food did not match the quality or the service. Everything was alright but for a $100 meal, I expect the food to be more flavorful and the staff to be more professional. First on service, when the server brought out the food, the plate was so hot he asked my wife to borrow her napkin off of her lap to put the plate on the table. First, was the food under a hot lamp and not fresh? Second, borrow the napkin off my wife's lap? Next when we were leaving, we waited for about 5 minutes out front before I went in to ask where the valet service was so we could get out vehicle. After I came back outside, the valet helper came running from the side of the restaurant finishing his cigarette. My truck smell like smoke when I got it."

  • "My husband and I recently attended to John for a 14th wedding anniversary. The food was excellent! The service was wonderful, and we loved the atmosphere. Our waiter was very attentive and was able to recommend things to us to make our experience even more enjoyable. it was a bit pricey, but totally worth it for a special occasion. Overall I would highly recommend this restaurant!"

  • "Rooms could be a little brighter. Menu is small and very good. Be prepared for food that should be a little simpler. "

  • "We travel often between Austin, TX and Jackson, MS. Whenever possible we try to eat at 2 Johns for dinner. The food is always exceptional as is the service. Often there is a piano player and singer in the background which makes for a very pleasant evening. My wife had the fish special with a lobster cream spinach sauce and I had blackened redfish with spinach risotto. Both were excellent."

  • "I was soo excited about going. It was a great experience. From the first point of driving up to the restaurant, the valet, and the great customer service. The servers was awesome, never had to wait for service. The food was cooked to perfection. Overall experience was great. I would definitely return and recommend to all my friends and family."

  • "The Copper River Salmon was out of this world. It's a treat that's only available for a few weeks each year. No one does it better. "

  • "I was there to celebrate my birthday. The shrimp and grits was on point, as always. At that point, things went awry. One of my friends got the stuffed mahi mahi. The stuffing was bland and really not much else other than fillers with very little crab meat. The mahi had no seasoning and was bland, as well. I ordered a steak cooked blue and what was sent out was medium rare. I would think that when someone orders a steak cooked to that degree of rawness, they know what they are talking about. I ordered au gratin potatoes and they came out after everyone else had pretty much finished eating. The server did bring me another steak but it also had little seasoning. He seemed easily frazzled. For this price, everything should be perfect. "

  • "Went to 2 Johns again last night. Great seafood and 10 oz filet stellar. Have been to restaurants worldwide and still think this filet is the best. Also shrimp n'grits app and bread pudding dessert to die for. Thank you !!"

  • "The food and atmosphere are great. My only suggestion is to lower the prices on the specials and the wine by the glass. The food portions are very large and could be reduced by 20% if this could make the food more affordable. Currently a family of 4 would be hard pressed to eat dinner here for less than $300. That is just too expensive. The filet mignon special should be $45, not $60. A glass of Kendall Jackson Chardonnay should be $8, not $12.50. This is Shreveport-Bossier, and although we like eating here, it is out of the reach for most families in this area, including ours."

  • "The food and service were both excellent with what seemed to be a pleasant relaxing atmosphere until the children started falling out of chairs and crying thus causing the rest of the room to start almost yelling to be heard. The pricing is fair for the experience, however the presence of young children all but ruined it. Perhaps weeknight dining is a different experience."

  • "My wife ordered the shrimp and crawfish fettucine, although the shrimp and crawfish were hard to find and she said it was too salty. My prime rib shish-kabob, which I ordered rare was any thing but rare, and it was rather tough and chewy. The grapefruit martini was excellent. Also our server was very attentive and did an excellent job. The entire staff was very cordial Our table was by the kitchen door and all the activity from the servers doing their job greatly detracted from a good dining experience. All in all we were very disappointed by the experience for what it cost. "

  • "Went for the Mother's Day Brunch and "mother" was not disappointed. Another great meal. Everyone (six of us) was pleased with their food. All food was well prepared and tasted delightful. The service was outstanding and the piano music was nice. This is not the first brunch we have eaten here and every one of them has been great. Highly recommend it. "

  • "Went to Mother's Day brunch. Probably not the best time for a first time visit. Everything was fine, but nothing to brag about. Food was typical buffet food. Had heard so many good things about this restaurant, but the brunch was nothing special. Not worth $50 per person. "
    Dined on 5/11/2014
  • "When 2-Johns is on, they are are as good as anyone. Unfortunately, that happens about every third time. Mother's Day brunch ended up being about $40 a head. We could have gotten better food for half the price at Copeland's Sunday brunch. "

  • "I was extremely impressed. Everything met my criteria for a prime, fine dining experience. The food was wonderful, the service professional and the atmosphere was the way I enjoy evening dining; not stuffy or dry but light and happy making for a wonderful evening out. And the price was appropriately presented. I will definitely return and recommend your restaurant to my friends."

  • "I have been hearing about 2 Johns so my wife and I wanted to try it for her Mothers Day. Her steak was good but my fish tasted really fishy and I was really dissappointed. The atmosphere was great and the service was outstanding."
