Our appetizer was wonderful and our entrée was good, but could have been better if our steaks would have been prepared as ordered. We did not send the steaks back because we were somewhat in a hurry."

  • "2 Johns is simply excellent. We have been there maybe a dozen times now. It is in our top five spots to eat. We drive 50 miles each way to get there !! Love the bar and music !!! The food is consistently excellent. John, the owner, routinely stops to say high and will give interesting info on the food and food sources and availability as well as other info. It's a great personal touch that is rare. We look forward to our next visit !!!"

  • "My Husband and I went there for a date night. We arrived a little early and had a martinis and wine at the bar waiting for our table. The bartender was very courteous and answered all our questions on the drink specials. We especially liked listening to the live piano player. That is a very nice touch. Once seated our waiter Ron was fantastic! We started out with the calamari and for the main course both of us had steaks. It was so delicious! If you like wine they have an excellent selection to suit any pallet. We will definitely be returning!"

  • "Had a girls night out and we decided to try 2 Johns. I must say the food and service was good. I definitely recommend the spinach risotto. My favorite dish of the night. It is a bit pricey. I got the special and it was $63.00 and that threw me for a loop. Expect to spend about $85.00 per person if you order alcohol."

  • "We arrived early for dinner with friends. We sat at the bar to relax and enjoy a drink. That's exactly what we did, unwind from the day. We really enjoyed visiting with the two bartenders ( sorry we didn't get their names). The owner was sitting at the bar enjoying a glass of wine with a friend also. From there we were seated and the evening only got better. Our server was an adorable lady that was very knowledgable. The food was fabulous and the restaurant is beautiful! We had a wonderful evening and look forward to our next visit."

  • "One of the best restuarants I've ever eaten at with absolutely delicious food. The 24 oz cowboy cut ribeye is the best steak I've ever eaten and I've eaten a lot of steak. My wife and I go there about once a year for special occasions and always look forward to it. Ask for Greg, he is a top notch server. My wife and I just went this week and we will be back next year"

  • "My wife and I had no ideal this restaurant would be so great. The food, service and the staff just wonderful. The steak was cooked to perfection, no sauce needed. The lighting and music just right for couples. A must for all couples, groups and individuals who want to be in the hot spot for Shreveport/ Bossier City. We enjoyed 2 Johns and you will too."

  • "My wife and I celebrated our 42nd Wedding Anniversary on Tues. June 17th, 2014. We started off with dinner at Two Johns and as we arrived we noticed that there was only one valet guy and he had just hopped in the car ahead of us and we assumed we would have to wait but instead he pulled up to allow us to park in the door way and came back to open the door for my wife. Nice touch! We were led to our table to find a dozen red roses and a bottle of champagne as requested. The crab cakes were fresh and hot. The ribeye and the fillet were awesome! The blackberry cobbler a la mode was very good as well. As we walked out to give our stub to the ballet guy he was driving up in my truck! Nice!"

  • "4 of us dined at 2Johns. The food was fabulous! We had calamari and shrimp cocktail for appetizers and they were wonderful! The salmon was prepared and cooked perfect - not overcooked and not undercooked! We ended our meals with crème brulee and bread pudding. I didn't taste the bread pudding because I was enjoying the crème brulee so much! Josh our waiter was exceptional!!! Will definitely go back and bring family and friends!"

  • "The price of the food did not match the quality or the service. Everything was alright but for a $100 meal, I expect the food to be more flavorful and the staff to be more professional. First on service, when the server brought out the food, the plate was so hot he asked my wife to borrow her napkin off of her lap to put the plate on the table. First, was the food under a hot lamp and not fresh? Second, borrow the napkin off my wife's lap? Next when we were leaving, we waited for about 5 minutes out front before I went in to ask where the valet service was so we could get out vehicle. After I came back outside, the valet helper came running from the side of the restaurant finishing his cigarette. My truck smell like smoke when I got it."

Our waiter was very attentive and was able to recommend things to us to make our experience even more enjoyable. it was a bit pricey, but totally worth it for a special occasion. Overall I would highly recommend this restaurant!"

We imformed out waitress that we were there to relax and take our time. We did not feel rushed and our waitress was very friendly the entire time. The salmon was impeccable!   • "We travel often between Austin, TX and Jackson, MS. Whenever possible we try to eat at 2 Johns for dinner. The food is always exceptional as is the service. Often there is a piano player and singer in the background which makes for a very pleasant evening. My wife had the fish special with a lobster cream spinach sauce and I had blackened redfish with spinach risotto. Both were excellent."

  • "I was there to celebrate my birthday. The shrimp and grits was on point, as always.At that point, things went awry. One of my friends got the stuffed mahi mahi. The stuffing was bland and really not much else other than fillers with very little crab meat. The mahi had no seasoning and was bland, as well. I ordered a steak cooked blue and what was sent out was medium rare. I would think that when someone orders a steak cooked to that degree of rawness, they know what they are talking about. I ordered au gratin potatoes and they came out after everyone else had pretty much finished eating. The server did bring me another steak but it also had little seasoning. He seemed easily frazzled. For this price, everything should be perfect. "
