  • "We love 2johns. We sat too close to the bar, and a few of the guests got a little rowdy. It was nice to be able to hear the piano, but we did not appreciate the singing along "karaoke style" of some of the folks at the bar. Next time, we will consider reserving a table in the main dining area or as far from the bar as possible. The food was and always is excellent."

  • "Service and food were amazing. No kids. Ideal for a special occasion. Little bit more expensive than I was expecting. And I expected a pricey dinner. Steaks were probably as good as I've ever had. Manager/owner came around and spoke to us. Great experience but expect to pay for the excellence. Willing to pay? Can't go wrong. As an example, steak special and the Mahi with an appetizer and one dessert and no drinks was 113 for two. That's with tax, pre-gratuity. Know before you go. Definitely worth it to me on this occasion."

  • "This is an unbelievable restaurant. You would expect to find this kind of restaurant in a large metropolitan area instead of a smaller city. The food was outstanding. The steak and prime rib cooked to perfection. The wine list would rival many of the best. The service was excellent with the server being extremely knowledgable and helpful but not pushy or over doing things. The live piano from the bar made for nice atmosphere. This is an outstanding restaurant and one that I would not hesitate to take friends, family, or business associates to. It is high quality."

  • "While everything was delicious, from the shrimp & grits appetizer to the bread pudding and chocolate brownie dessert, I'd have to say our favorite dishes were the salads. He had a wedge salad with homemade thousand island and I had a Cesar salad. The salads were just so fresh and the ingredients perfectly complemented each other. It was easily the best Cesar salad I've ever had. The ribeye steaks were cooked perfectly, charred on the outside and cooked to our specifications on the inside (rare and medium). The spinach risotto was perfect. The Mac and cheese had been fancified with bow tie pasta and was spicy with the addition of pepper jack cheese. Our dining experience was superb. My only complaint would be the pricing."

  • "We have wanting to visit 2Johns. Crossing the Red River is not something we like to do which was why we waited so long. We went early to have a drink in the bar. The atmosphere was nice and friendly. I knew there were specials for happy hour but was not told anything about that. Our waitress in the restaurant was extremely friendly and had lots of suggestions that we took. She did not steer us wrong. Our appetizer of crab au gratin was the best I have ever had. Her wine selection was perfect. My husband's two kinds of shrimp were delicious and fresh. The sauces here are first class and I think that is where they excel. We will return."

Casual fine dining in a comfortable atmosphere is the best way to describe 2-Johns Great food prepared With attention to detail. Everything is made in house. Sometimes you may get lucky for Friday lunch and enjoy a bowl of gumbo (very tasty)."

A good ambiance with soft lighting and quiet piano music, the food was divine and the wait staff there were at the top of their game. I would recommend this restaurant to anyone wanting a great meal in a quiet atmosphere where you can actually hold conversations while eating. Remember to make a reservation, this great restaurant is not a secret!!!"

  • "The food was great. Service was good. Towards the end if dinner, our water glass wasn't replenished as much. We were seated by a large group of older patrons and they spoke loudly and used profanity. It would have been better to see large groups seated in back or corner areas and not in the center of the room. There was an extensive wine list. The waiters really push the wine and dessert even after you refuse. Overall I would come back as most of the little inconveniences could have been just an odd thing."

  • "We've been to 2 Johns before and knew what to expect with great food and service and were exceptionally thrilled. I had booked this night in early January as I knew Valentine's Day is sure a busy one for restaurants in general and was glad I did.We were running a little late with traffic and I called to let them know we were on our way, when we arrived we were graciously seated and from that time until we left we were placed in a Culinary Dream with service that was very attentive without being overbearing. This being Valentine's Day we went with the Valentine's Day menu and start to finish the food was hot or cold when it should be. Our waiter made us feel special and left us with a smile that equaled ours!"
