It is my firm belief on here that people throw around 4's and 5's way too much. This place was definitely a decent dining experience, but compared to other Indian places in the city it was very lacking. Which was exactly what was expected upon making the reservation. Just wanted a place within walking distance we could get a last minute reservation for. But cannot begin to be compared to places like Tamarind. Overall a positive dining experience, but no reason to ever go back.

This was my first time trying Indian cuisine and I really enjoyed the experience. My fiance and I were greeted at the door and the wait staff was very helpful and courteous! Our drinks and food came out pretty quickly and the chef even provided complimentary dessert! The food was delicious and the portions were a pretty nice size. The lighting and ambiance was perfect and the noise level was pretty low for a place in NYC. We will definitely return!

This was my first time having authentic Indian Cuisine. My time there was at most wonderful. Our waiter spoke with such assurance about the different choices of food from the appetizers to the desserts. He did a great job at making us feel warm, and welcomed. The atmospher was mello and the music was at such perfect volume. The happy hour is fantastic and the bartender made our drinks to perfection. Great place!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

It was our first time in an Indian restaurant. We made our choice based on the reviews in Zagat,and we were not disappointed. The wait staff were very helpful, they answered all our questions and made some very helpful suggestions. We had a pleasant experience and definitely will go back soon.

Cannot recommend: chicken was promised to be all white meat and came with dark meat. We sent it back and it came back all white meat but in a sauce that was like soup and w/o several of the original elements intact (mango). The mango to begin with didn't seem like mango but pineapple chunks. The chicken in the korma was incredibly dry. we had been told that the dishes would be mild but they were quite spicy. Sorry.
