  • "Loved Harvey's 19 Kitchen. We had a wonderful spot by the window to watch the sunset go down over the mountains."

  • "I have been to 19 Kitchen many times in the past for the great food and the beautiful sunset view, view covered by snow The only thing that I could say negative would be the rude hostess, I incresed the amount of people in our party but she made faces at us and made us feel it was not ok. I really don't need to be made to feel that way especially when I know I would be spending several hundred dollars for a meal there. I tried to go on line to make the change but it would not let me. I work in the Hotel/Restaurant business and understand what might have been going on in her mind but it is never ok to make the costumer feel the way she did. It set the tone for the whole meal. P.S. The server was amazing didn't get a her name"

  • "Suited to come here when it was Llewellen's - what a great dining experience every time we visited Tahoe. Not so much now. We've been to 19 Kitchen a couple times. Very mediocre. Can't believe they actually put blue cheese on a Caesar salad. Tasted like a salad with blue cheese - not a Caesar. We won't be back. The only thing really impressive about this place is the restaurant itself and the incredible view."

  • "We arrived to the hotel later than we thought we would. The restaurant accommodated us minutes before closing and we had a spectacular meal!"

  • "When I made the reservation on line I made note it was my husband birthday. Thank goodness I made sure the waiter know about it because- he was surprised. So my suggestion is when there is something special that the hostess makes it a point when greeted. Even the waiter. My husband knew I had to go ask for a dessert as a surprise. This was the only thing disappointing. Pay attention to on line reservation notes."

  • "We arrived at 6:45pm to a dated well worn hotel cafe that hinted of 50 year old cigarette smoke. We were seated at one of the best tables for a perfect view of - nothing. Since the sun went down and there was no moon, there was absolutely no view except a poorly lit parking lot. Rather than stay for a non descript dinner, we left for a local haunt that was half the price and double the value."

  • "The view was amazing, the food was great, and the service was great. Everyone was very nice and they gave us a perfect table overlooking the lake as requested."

  • "Had another great dinner at Table 10. I appreciate that they have a good selection of half bottles of wine. The Gumbo is best in Las Vegas and the whole spring chicken is excellent. Service was great. Very enjoyable dinner."

  • "Loved our latest visit to 19 Kitchen and Bar. Really enjoyed the service. All the food was excellently prepared, imaginative and nicely presented: lobster/corn chowder; risotto with scallops and asparagus, heritage pork chop and not to forget the trio of crème brulees. Will be back!"

  • "The food was absolutely amazing and they had the perfect wine list to go with it. We enjoyed the steamed clams and the coffee and cocoa rubbed rib-eye amongst other things…these two were outstanding!! The restaurant is said to have amazing views of South Lake Tahoe, unfortunately I made reservations after sunset, which left us with pitch dark scenery. Totally my fault so plan ahead. We sat at a table window side which made it particularly chilly. The booths looked nice and cozy and would definitely suggest to request one if you would like to get close and romantic. We finished of with their freshly made doughnuts recommended by our server…delis!!! Service was timely and above our expectations."

  • "Had 5:30 reservations and got there a little early to see the sunset from the bar. We were seated promptly at a great window table. Ordered the quail appetizer and salads, thn split the medallions of beef. Everything was perfect-crisp salads and the sauce with th medallions of beef was out of this world! Highly recommend 19 Kitchen!"

  • "It was our 8th anniversary so I took my wife to an expensive restaurant that some friends said was great. Had a reservation at 6:30 but we arrived early to check out the menu. They sat us at 6pm no problem (not a lot of people). They also have a limited menu since it is off season. I got the new york steak with garlic potatoes and green beans, which was a great medium cook and great flavor. My wife got the sea bass on top of risotto and a butter sauce, her fish was cooked great; but the combination of fish with a light flavored risotto was just too bland. with all the butter in it and all the similar flavors there was nothing on her plate to balance it out. so depends what you get. service was attentive and very nice."

  • "The clams were delicious, the Sea Bass was great, and the salmon was superb. However, the spiked desert coffees could have been sweeter. The service we received would have been great if we were at an Applebees, but with food this good and a per-person cost of over $60, we expected more. Our blonde waitress paid little attention to us and was often awkward with her interactions."

  • "The view is probably what brings most people here but with early sunsets, the food is the focus of attention. It does not fail! The filets were prepared perfectly and our server brought two types of sauces to try with them. They were cooked exactly as we requested and so delicious. We were so full from out dinner that we passed on dessert. A wonderful surprise came along with the bill . . . a plate full of fresh cotton candy!!! When our server noticed how much I enjoyed it, he brought a second plate! What a fun, unique ending to a delicious meal!! We will definitely return!"

  • "We decided to dine at 19 Kitchen & Bar on New Years Day instead of fighting the crowds the night before. We made the reservation for 7:30, decided to go early for a cocktail; and were able to be seated early. We were welcomed warmly by staff. My husband decided on the New York Steak special and I decided on the Salmon. We are from the Central Coast of CA and know the wines here but most of the wines on their list are from Napa. I asked Heather (our Server) to recommend a wine for us. She chose a Pinot Noir from Domaine Carneros that paired perfectly with both of our meals. After dinner, we decided to try their Port Flight with a selection of Creme Brulee's. Excellent! We highly recommend this restaurant!"

  • "My girlfriend and I had a great time at this restaurant, Sean the server is great. Thick cuts of meat are challenging to cook correctly and this place has it going on. Lobster mashed potatoes were excellent."

  • "It's been 7 years since I dined @ 19 and we were frequent customers of both Lewellyn's and 19 before moving from Tahoe. The food was better than I remember although the menu wasn't vastly different. The service was EXCELLENT! Both servers were on top of things from the moment we sat down. My 2 first time guests were blown away by everything and we're already planning a trip back to 19. Well Done (no pun intended, steak was perfect)"

  • "What a beautiful view and it's already to dark to enjoy with your meal. Opening quite a bit earlier would allow some of your guests to absorb some of that beauty."

  • "We came to the restaurant to celebrate my sister's birthday in a low key way. This was perfect - great entrees, quiet, a simple candle on her dessert. Pricey but was perfect for what we were looking for as a special night."

  • "We (2) very much enjoyed our visit to 19 Kitchen& Bar. Got a very nice table right next to the window with a beautiful view over the lake. Service was impeccable even though we shared all our dishes and required several new plates. Enjoyed the 2 different, high quality breads - a sour dough with garlic and a sunflower seed bread. Specifically we really liked the risotto appetizer with scallops and asparagus and our desert of a trio of brulees which went really well with the flight of desert wines. Great find. Will be back during the ski season."

  • "It seemed they didn't read the note regarding our anniversary, didn't care or didn't really put any thought into our seating assignment and the special request to have a window table overlooking the lake if possible. I understand that a request is a request, but we had the choice of a booth as far back in the restaurant as they have, not near any window or a table in the middle of the room in the back end of the restaurant. There were many things that made me rate this lower, but the disregard of a special occassion took away the excitement of dining there. The service was good not great, the food was great, but a little overpriced. There was a nice touch of cotton candy with the check, but we didn't eat it after ordering dessert. Meh!"

  • "This restaurant had an amazing view but the food was just average. I had a salad, the quail and the mac and cheese. My husband had a steak. The bread was cold and not very tasty. In a restaurant of this caliber, the bread should come to the table warm."
