It was a mixed experience - The Red Snapper and Dover Sole were very good. We never got the parsnip soup served to all of the other diners. Coffee and tea were ordered.but only coffee was delivered. When we finally got the server's attention and inquired after the tea we were told that there had been a mistake in the kitchen and it would take a while to make and did we still want it. Come on folks, it's hot water and the customer does the work with the tea bag. In short, the food was good, the service mixed to poor. We'll try it again, but if things aren't better, it will be the last time.

Fabulous evening, wonderful dinner -- outstanding waitstaff & ambiance. Eclectic. Gracious, thoughtful, & fun. Amazing pear blossom martini, mouth-watering bacon cheddar biscuits with maple chipotle butter, delectable bourbon butterscotch pudding, remarkable beet salad. Baked Alaska -- perfection! A place where memories are made ... and thought of fondly for years to come. :-) Next time truffle roasted chicken.

It was one of best dinner we had in a while, everything was great. Can't wait to go back. The food was fantastic, beef carpaccio was served with small cubes of daikon, hamachi with orange, caramelized endive w/walnuts, octopus was most tender and stuffed sole with rice was put of this world. We left over 50% tip for our waiter and it was worth it.

What's not to love about 1833? From the outdoor fire pits for enjoying a cocktail to the GovernorscRoom for quiet dining, it has it all! Imaginative roasted beef marrow bones to start our dining, we progressed to Papardelle with the softest glazed short ribs imaginable. Our server knew every single dish and assuredly guided us thru the many delectable choices. Highly recommend 1833!

Delicious food and fairly fast service. A major highlight would be their selection of absinthe, particularly the ones that are served via Russian fiery display. Loads of fun!

Please don't hover! I know it was early (6PM), but the waiter was constantly on top of us. We felt rushed through the appetizers, the salad. We were so happy when the 6:30 crowd gave him something else to do. My husband loved the pork chop. I didn't care much for the sole; nothing wrong with it, just not my preferred style. The bar area looks really fun; and the place is arranged into little rooms with charming decor. Outdoor dining under the heat lamps, so romantic!

The food was delicious and the wait staff pleasant, but the experience was maddening. The two of us ordered 8 appetizers, and no entrees. All arrived within a short period (almost at once) until there wasn't enough room on the table for them all. We felt rushed to keep up with the rate of the delivery. We asked our server to remove the cold dishes and reserve them until we were ready. Even then, two more dishes appeared within minutes. We couldn't relax. I was midway through my dessert before the second dessert was served.
