1808 GrilleAwesome as always!This was our first time to have brunch at 1808 Grille and it met all our expectations. We have eaten dinner there many times and have never had anything but great food, wine and atmosphere. We found the Mother's Day buffet (they only do a buffet on special occasions like Mother's Day and Easter) to be quite good. She had chicken fingers and we had the pork and the sea bass. Both were excellent. The servers were fast and attentive. The chocolate mousse paired with the sparkling wine was excellent as well. The restaurant was relatively empty, perhaps due to the time (early) and weekday night. We ordered one small plate (4 adults) and 4 large plates. The food was extremely well presented and was as good as it looked. We split a dessert, which was wonderful. This was it! The food and service was excellent and both the Maitre'd and the Barman took time to come and talk to us regarding our experience.
Greg the Barman is in the top three barmen I have encountered in 40 years of travelling a lll over the world and he's a Brit!

Was skeptical as it is located "in" a hotel, but once there, I found this wasn't to be a concern. Prices were reasonable and fitting for the restaurant and food was great. There are several restaurants in town that the food is much better. For the value of the meal we would prefer other options.

Our server was exceptional with recommendations on wine pairings with special menu items, and we were all very impressed with the results. Terrific tastes in dishes I have had before, but were unique to me at 1808, including the side items. Atmosphere was elegant and modern, and acoustically the room was remarkably quiet. In the West End area of Nashville, and attached to a quaint hotel called the Hutton. They serve the sides to the whole table (when not included with entree), and they were clever. They included red cabbage (not too sweet); bok choy with peanut sauce and very creamy polenta.
Skip the steak. Order the halibut or quail. Service is variable, though ALWAYS at the very least meeting expectations. I would certainly dine here again, the Lola Rosa salad is superb. I would recommend for a gathering of girlfriends or a family event. Located in a Hutton Hotel, 1808 provides an upscale dining experience without crazy prices! We went to celebrate my wife's birthday. Gfriendly staff who provided good service, had a nice variety of food on the menu, which they change often.
