  • "This was our second visit to 18 and was glad to see things had not changed.I made my reservation via open table and my requests were provided as requested.The food,waiter and food servers were excellent and attended to our every need.My wife and I were celebrating our 42nd wedding anniversary and had a great time.The laid back yet elegant vibe of the restaurant really suits our taste.This will always be a stop when we travel to Baton Rouge."

  • "So far, three or four years into dining at 18 Steak, the food has always been excellent. The only mishap was one time the waiter misheard my wife and brought her filet well done, should have sent it back but did not. We enjoy the atmosphere, which is normally fairly quiet. The view of the river is outstanding. The staff has always been attentive without being overbearing, they are a pleasure and make a fine dining experience even better. You cannot beat the prix fixe and it is sufficient to fill most people to the point that dessert is out of the question. The entire menu is a delight and their steaks are as good as any you will have at Morton's or even Shula's in New Orleans before it closed."

  • "A Birthday celebration along with Ladies Night Out. We were seated by the window which was a little warm at first, but we asked that the shades be pulled down and then it was better. As soon as the sun went down it was much better and it was nice to see the water outside. Very pretty view. Waiter was very informative and helpful with decisions. Food very good..... a little pricey for the average working single lady.... but worth saving up for!"

  • "The restaurant was extremely nice. It wasn't crowded because it was a Monday night. Trout Almandine was delicious but had to laugh out loud at the much anticipated duck fat fried potatoes - 3 slices off one end of a fingering potato. Maybe one ounce of them. Wife's Cowboy ribeye was perfectly rare and delicious. Daughter's duck was fantastic. All would order the same thing again. Service was very personable. The only negative was the vast time between ordering a glass of wine or a cocktail and getting it. 12-18 minutes. I understand that time is part of what you are buying at a nice restaurant but almost three hours for dinner had us ready to explode. If I go back, I'll ask the waiter to check on us more often with the drinks."

  • "The poor service started when we were seated at the table. It took 15 minutes for someone to give us a menu and take our drink order. Once we got our drinks 15 minutes later our order was taken. It took 30 minutes to receive our salads. We spoke to the manager about this and after that point we did not see our waiter any longer. The mac & cheese was cold. We finally asked for the manager again because no one came back to see if we wanted another drink, dessert or anything else."

  • "It was a perfect evening to celebrate my mother's birthday with her family. The service was terrific and food was plentiful. There are many sides to select from the menu and choose the spinach, cheese/macaroni/ and Duck fries. The selection of steak was a hit at the table as well as the sea bass and chicken was enjoyed by all. The wines were enjoyed by all and best of all the price was reasonable for wonderful food, atmosphere, service and being with family."

  • "Everything we ordered was absolutely delicious and cooked to perfection. My husband ordered the cowboy ribeye, and I ordered the parmesan scallops. The steak was one of the best in the city, and the scallops were by far the best scallops I've ever had. The mushroom side dish was mindblowing good, and the cheesecake dessert was delicious as well. The service was top notch. Our waiter recommend almost everything we ordered, and he did not steer us wrong! Highly recommend this place. I was a little wary to go, since the reviews on OpenTable were so inconsistent, but we must have caught them on a good night, because everything was perfect."

  • "Went for the first time for Restaurant Week. Ribs were tasty but tough and chewy as was the flat iron steak. Mashed potatoes were lukewarm/cold. Sauce on the steak was way salty. Restaurant Week is designed to bring people in who have never been or can't really afford to normally go and try your dishes to impress them into coming back for more. 18 Steak did not do their job on that."

However, we waited almost 30 minutes for our beverages after we were seated by an unfriendly hostess though the dining room was nearly empty. My food was far from what I expected. Whoever prepared it included a large separated bone with cooked marrow and fat next to my steak which I found completely disgusting. My husband fortunately enjoyed the sea bass and the rest of his meal. We chose the restaurant to celebrate our anniversary though wish we had eaten elsewhere."

The food was excellent, beautifully presented and there was a great special on half price bottles of wine. Service was great (which was the big disappointment the first time.) Food was excellent, service was delightful, and wonder of wonders, it was quiet and we could actually converse without shouting at each other. Stunning view of the river and free valet parking completed the package. Our first visit to the restaurant and to the casino, but we will definitely return to 18 Steak."

  • "We dined on Friday night at 7 pm. Our servers were great and very attentive. All of our salads and soups/gumbo were great. If you are looking for a place to have soup/salad and dessert, this is your place. However, most people don't go to a steakhouse for soup and salad. Our entrees were fair at best. The men ordered the waygu beef, and it was really chewy and subpar. The ladies ordered the chicken. It was fried which was not mentioned on the menu, and it was severely dry. It was not even warm when we received it."

  • "My wife and I have eaten at 18 Steakhouse many times over the last one and half years mainly due to the comps we receive. Overall, a great dinning experience due to the waitstaff, river view and ambience. However, the steaks are rairly up to par with other BR steakhouses, ie Sullivan's, Chris or Fleming's. The steaks are normally too salty, although this time there was a "sweet taste" to them. The waitstaff, Jeremy and others are most accomadating and helpful regarding selections!"

Had a delicious strip, creamed spinach and blue cheese salad. There was more than enough to eat. Jeremy is a great waiter, very friendly and helpful. Will definitely return to this restaurant."

  • "We chose 18 Steak as a dinner option because their reservations were available much earlier in the afternoon than many of our other favorite steakhouses. I had dined her previously and although I was not blown away by the steaks, the other food was generally pretty good. We arrived at the restaurant at our reservation time and were asked where we would like to be seated, since the restaurant was pretty empty. There were maybe 4-5 other tables seated in the restaurant. We waited over two hours with little to do service from the waiter. My spouse's food was undercooked and was sent back to the kitchen twice and was still not prepared properly. Eventually she gave up and chose not to finish it because everyone else was done. "
