Diner Reviews
  • "1515 has become one of our downtown favorites before a concert or play. The dinners are always creative and wonderful, and the service is outstanding. One person in our party required a vegan meal, and that was also very nicely done."

  • "The menu was very interesting making choice difficult. Our choice of black garlic soup, beautifully presented, was rewarded with a rich complex dish. Another appetizer, spinach soufflé and braised leeks, made for a satisfying dinner. Our companion's lamb chops were a tender medium rare with innovative sides. We will go back to this elegant restaurant.."

  • "The service was excellent! And the food was really delicious...it just wasn't worth the prices. I won't be going back."

  • "Food was great and service was perfect, but the bar scene on the ground floor and smell of stale chemicals took some ernest effort to overlook. Once the food came to the table all was well, but first impressions linger long. If there was some way to divert dinners around the bizarre bar area, a great service would be done for future guests."

  • "I would not recommend this restaurant to anyone. Unless you like spending money on an entrée that's the size of an appetizer for an outrageous price. The waiters attitude was pretentious and he looked put out when you asked him to explain the menu. If you have more dollars than sense than this restaurant will be for you!!!"

  • "Excellent restaurant, with an exquisite menu! Pricey but definitely worth it for a special occasion. Can't wait to go back!"

  • "This restaurant is the one and only place that my wife and I make sure we visit on every trip to Denver. The dishes are always so unique, and amazing, and the staff is alway so accommodating and pleasant. It is an upscale restaurant without the stuffiness, and uptightedness (not sure thats actually a word) of a typical upscale restaurant."

  • "Did not know we were booking a "special dinner". Came to the "test kitchen" dinner. Will try to make another one."

  • "A Sub-par restaurant. Food looked very pretty, but lacked flavor. They have very good ideas of a dish, but truly need to work on their flavor. Appetizers : I had scallops, they were fair. My husband had the pork cheeks, which seemed to be covered in capers. Almost like someone spilled them in the dish. Main courses were cooked perfectly, but the 2 way bison had NO flavor.. NONE! The S'mores dessert was a huge disappointment. Could have been fabulous. But a failed attempt. The chef needs to go back to the drawing board. Keep the ideas, but put more thought in the actually food recipe's. TH hey should visit The Bazaar , and see what Molecular gastronomy really is. TH his restaurant has great potential, but needs to work on it."

  • "I like 1515 Market. Food is always good. Ambience is always calm. You can actually have a conversation with the person you are dinning with."

  • "Have been to this restaurant many times. Food was not as good or interesting as I have had before. Bathroom smelled like an outhouse. For the price expected LOTS more."

  • "The first time we went to 1515 was for a Mother's Day Brunch, which the family enjoyed very much. So we decided that we would try 1515 for our anniversary dinner. The whole staff made our anniversary. The food was outstanding and the staff was attentive, but nor intrusive. Our server Teree was wonderful. The right amount of professionalism and personality. Thank you to the whole staff at 1515 for a great evening."

  • "Should we or not try it... Result..why not before and we'll be back soon, long walk up the stairs for a gimp, food and service outstanding.... Just as good as any place in Nalpes FL"

  • "The menu offered unusual items which caused our group of 7 to check it out while in town on business. Had several large groups so maybe things were busy for them when we were there, because service was slower than we would have liked. Two groups coming in after us were served before us. Food was good on almost all items except chicken (a little dry) and elk (too salty). Appetizers and bread pudding was amazing. Would have liked to have more sweet wine choices by glass. It was a good experience but not sure we will return with all the other choices in the downtown area."

  • "Our first dining experience at 1515. Immediate seating, no wait per our reservation. Very informative waiter, guided us through all the food and wine pairings. One in our party thought Dover Sole was "mushy" to her taste. Vision short rib excellent. Overall a very good dining experience and we will be back."

  • "We dined here for Restaurant Week and had a wonderful meal. The wine list was extensive, but even better were the pairings that went with the prix fix menu. Starting with champagne to wines with each course and finishing with Port. Our waiter, Brandon, was very flexible with our choice of some of the wines and he was great in giving some background on some of the vineyards. The special menu had a good range of dishes and the regular menu will tempt us to come back again."

  • "The food was GREAT, our table was in a very akward location, busy with waiters and people...did a wine pairing and it was perfect."

  • "There were six of us there for restaurant week, and 1515 exceeded our expectations! The staff was so friendly, and fun. We enjoyed every bite, and had a two great bottles of wine. Our servers suggestion were perfect!"

  • "We went for restaurant week. The menu was surprising limited. The crab cakes I ordered for the first course was amazing. The main course lacked flavor it still exercised the pallette. The service was outstanding. From our main server and even the support staff. They also went out of their way to prepare something toddler friendly which wasn't on the menu."

  • "We went during Denver Restaurant Week. The service was wonderful. The wait staff was incredible quick and efficient. The crab cakes were nice and special because of the ginger foam. The banana bread pudding with cinnamon ice cream was deliciour. All in all a nice experience."

  • "We had a wonderful experience, the food was amazing, the service was impeccable. Kudos to all who work there for providing such a great dining experience for us. The staff was really outstanding and everyone who works there made us feel very special, even Mr. Tang, who greeted us at our table and shared some of the culinary specialties that the restaurant offers ."

  • "Rivals the best in town for food, wine, and service, though moving to highish--and entirely appropriate--prices. Tablet wine list contains many with some years of bottle age."

  • "Went for Restaurant week. Food and wine pairings were very good. Portions were extremely small, so I don't know if that is because it was restaurant week, or if they are always that way."

  • "Went during resturant week and was not impressed. Food was just ok, but was presented nicely. Very limited beer menu with nothing special to choose from. Downstairs bar was absolutely dead. Probably will not go back."

  • "I have been to this restaurant before, but since it is a bit pricey for my student wallet I was not able to come back until restaurant week. I have to say, this is one of my favorite restaurants in Denver and one of the best meals I have every had. I will come back as soon as I can (all in moderation). On top of a wonderful meal, the service was nothing short of amazing!"

  • "1515 has the feeling of a hip NY City restaurant: brick walls, narrow windows overlooking Market St. and the historic Denver Seed Co. building. It serves food that could hold its own in a line up of NY's eateries. The crab cakes were some of the best I've ever eaten. And I know crab cakes. I was raised on the Chesapeake Bay. The braised short rib was fall off the bone tender and paired nicely with fava beans. My creme brulle was delicious and beautifully presented. My husband and I also enjoyed having a drink at the bar. The wait staff were outstanding from start to finish."

  • "We visited 1515 during Denver's Restaurant Week. The menu was varied, but did not really give you the real special dining food fare that we had expererienced previously at 1515, outside of Restaurant Week. We'll go back, for sure, as our first dining experience there was extraordinarily good."

  • "Attended for the specials. Good selection of four entrees and one of us got the wine pairing, which was a very nice selection of three glasses of wine. The Coq au Vin was fantastic as was the Bison rib, and crab cakes were unique with a lot of ginger - tasty and far from conventional. Crème brulee was the best dessert choice. Very good food and service, but when looking at the normal menu prices I would be unlikely to return unless it's Restaurant Week again."

  • "We went to 1515 during Restaurant Week, which should give patrons an opportunity to try the best of the best places, without a huge blow to the pocket. It allows people the opportunity to decide if the food is worth the higher priced menu and if they would come back. Though we found 1515's food to be good, it is not a place we feel compelled to return to and pay higher prices for the food. We also felt like the courses were rushed out so there was little time to even savor the dish. Granted during this week reservation numbers are high, but again the rushed service just added to the overall let down of 1515."

  • "How lovely to find a quiet spot downtown with an extremely interesting menu for lunch. And vary reasonable prices. Especially the $10, 20 minutes soup and salad!"

  • "Walking into the downstairs bar, we were concerned that the restaurant might not be all we had hoped. Much to our surprise and delight, the upstairs area was an elegant restaurant with a modern feel. The wait staff were extremely knowledgeable and friendly, without the pretentiousness that often accompanies places like this. The drink list comes on an iPad, which is part of the restaurant's efforts to be environmentally conscious. The food was perfect. From presentation to portion to taste, everything was incredible. Be sure to try the Wagyu beef appetizer. You cook it yourself on a 500 degree stone. Very cool. We would absolutely dine again at 1515."

  • "When we arrived at 1515, I had already done my research and was super excited to have finally arrived. My wife and I were celebrating our 2nd anniversary, and I was surprised when the owner, Mr. Gene Tang, was standing near the door to wish us a happy anniversary. After being led to our table and introduced to our outstanding waiter, Patrick, we were given a glass of champagne to celebrate, along with a card reading "happy anniversary from 1515!" that had been signed by the staff. Our dining experience was amazing, and we were presented with an Amuse-Bouche before dinner. All in all, I would give 1515 Restaurant SIX stars, and can't wait to return."

  • "One of the best downtown Denver restaurants for before theatre or special occasion. Their menu changes a lot and they have great wine pairings. The food is always fantastic. And they use tablecloths... romantic, and not noisy."
