15 Walnut Local Bistro
Hit the Mark and then someDelicious food, fresh ingredients, excellent atmosphere. The service was attentive and top notch. Try the calamari as a starter. It was simply outstanding.6/15/2013 12:00:00 AMI brought my friend here forI brought my friend here for her birthday. I love the ambience. It's cozy and inviting; I could see myself stopping by to sit at the bar for a drink after work--the Moscow Mule was perfect, as were the Pomegranate Mojitos--having dinner with friends, or meeting a date here. Our server was friendly & informative. The food...well, I might have dreams about the Dijon cream sauce on the perfectly cooked pork tenderloin (my friend's dinner) and I know I'll *have* to go back for the Day Boat Scallops. Also, Try the local cheese plate. Just do it. I live and work on the South Shore but I would absolutely go out of my way to return here. Fortunately my friend & her husband live closeby so I'll be in the area frequently enough to get my fix.6/14/2013 12:00:00 AMThis is quickly becoming oneThis is quickly becoming one of my favorite restaurants. I highly recommend it!6/13/2013 12:00:00 AMFriends and familyTried 15 Walnut for the first time for a birthday dinner accompanied by our daughter and her husband, and a houseguest. We were pleased to see other friends from Beverly when we came in, and later another couple from our church. That, together with the open feeling, attractive décor, and friendliness of the staff, gave 15 Walnut a very pleasant neighborhood "gathering spot" feel. The menu had many items of interest; all of our choices were nicely prepared and attractively presented.
Our server, Debbie, was a delight: knowledgeable, sociable and engaged, without being intrusive.
The bar also looks like a comfortable dining spot; thankfully, the TVs don't dominate either area.
Altogether a very pleasant evening, and sure to be repeated!5/27/2013 12:00:00 AMWe had brunch and it was healthyWe had brunch and it was healthy and delicious. Great attention from our server. We will go back!5/19/2013 12:00:00 AMLove this placeWe love 15 Walnut, especially the choose your own antipasto boards. The cheeses and options are always great. We go there for special occasions but its also family friendly. The day boat scallops are outstanding.5/16/2013 12:00:00 AMNice menu. Excellent wineNice menu. Excellent wine list. Service was attentive but not intrusive. Food was presented beautifullly and tasted wonderful.
Willl definitely be going again soon.5/13/2013 12:00:00 AMFriday nightIt was a great time. Food was great. Not rushed at all. Loved it.5/10/2013 12:00:00 AMOyster night! We went there because they have $1 oysters on Mondays and they did not disappoint! Not everyone got oysters, but everyone was content with whatever they got!5/6/2013 12:00:00 AMExcellent, as alwaysMy sweetheart and I have become frequent repeat guests at 15 Walnut. We know enough wait staffers now to have friendly discussions, and the food is consistently very good. I tried the brisket on this visit, just as a departure from my usual favorites -- short ribs or margherita pizza. The brisket was good, but I'm afraid that since it was the best meal my mother ever prepared, this version came up a little short of that. It was still good, but I'll never order apple crisp anywhere for the same reason. Nothing will ever compare to mom's brisket and apple crisp. My sweetheart had the scallops with shrimp risotto, which was excellent. I always recomment 15 Walnut highly. Warm atmosphere, wonderful waiters, fine food.5/4/2013 12:00:00 AMPrompt service always a plusPrompt service always a plus at this restaurant. Great little place!4/7/2013 12:00:00 AMFood and atmosphere is farFood and atmosphere is far superior than what you would expect from a restaurant located in a strip mall. Service is always fast and friendly. Great kids menu. Highly recommend!4/6/2013 12:00:00 AMWould Highly RecommendFrom the minute we walked in for dinner everyone was very friendly, our waitress was very accommodating and pleasant. The food was delicious... it was nice to find a restaurant that gave a decent portion of mussels, the seared scallops were very good, as was the pasta with bolonese. I would recommend this restaurant.4/5/2013 12:00:00 AMBesides the atmosphere, theBesides the atmosphere, the menus is pretty much the same as Lat 43, Alchemy, and the Hale St. Tavern. It's all good, but it doesn't really bring anything new. However, it's great to see a place like this in Hamilton. Both the lunch and dinner scene are really good.
Service is decent enough, friendly bar staff. They could work on a thing or two (e.g. just bring chopsticks and SS when someone orders sushi, don't wait to be asked), but overall nothing to complain about.
Definitely recommend.4/5/2013 12:00:00 AMWhat a great place!!! TheWhat a great place!!! The service is so gracious welcoming and professional. And the food is terrific. The 15 Walnut sushi roll is something to write home about. Absolutely wonderful--and we've done sushi from California and Hawaii to New England. My husband loved the pizza (bar-b-que chicken with avocado). The farm board is also a terrific idea--love the three small plates in one. Personally, I do find the house dressing a bit on the vinegary end of things. The desserts also sound delicious. Some evening, we hope to pop in after theater and try one of them!4/4/2013 12:00:00 AMThis was my third visit toThis was my third visit to this neighborhood restaurant, and once again I had a fabulous meal. Kudos to the chefs at 15 Walnut! My lamb chops with goat cheese and polenta could not have tasted any better.3/31/2013 12:00:00 AMAlways something worth tastingNice varied menu from sushi to contemporary French bistro; always something for everyone. Seasonal soups are always exceptional: from early summer's minestrone to winter's cream of parsnip with beet chip garnish. Prices are moderate - not expensive, not cheap. Good value, good food, friendly & caring service. Go, you'll like it!3/30/2013 12:00:00 AMFine food and drinksI had the barman make a corpse Reviver number 2 - what a great drink! Perfectly executed tuna, delicious parsnip soup and tasty aranciniis. Tiramisu needs a little more buzz. Bread was stale.3/24/2013 12:00:00 AMLoved our evening at 15 Walnut.Loved our evening at 15 Walnut. Well done!!! We'll be back for sure.1/16/2013 12:00:00 AM
