Diner Reviews
  • "We looked at the limited choices on the menu and we were worried that we may have made the wrong choice for the evening. But we were definately wrong! The tune appetizer was outstanding with condiments that just melted in my mouth. The roasted corn soup has a lovely curry flavor and the roasted carrot salad was very good, We shared the branzino entree and it was plenty for both of us and very nicely prepared with spring vegetable couscous underneath. The desserts were just too delicious to describe- I had the s'more (yummmmm) and he had the pistachio molten cake. Our waiter was amazing- Richard knows how to take care of people, that's for sure!"

  • "As great as the food was in our two visits we will never go again as there was consistently terrible service. Also charged full price for a virgin mojito and not by mistake. Avoid."

  • "I had read about 15 steps and decided to take my daughter as a treat while we were visiting Miami. It was a spectacular dining experience. The preparation and presentation were incredible."

  • "At the EDENROC website dining experience gallery shows some tables close to ocean. The restaurants outside sitting is far from the ocean and ocean view. So if you are looking for classic miami dining by the water this is not the right address. The website pictures are very misleading. Don't be fooled by these pictures. Our dining experience was just OK. We didnt hear any specialty presentation from our server. He just asked what we wanted and thats all. I heard at the background other servers were telling their customers the specialties for the day. If a restaurants quality level is shown with $$$$$ then the expectations from that restaurant is normally very high. Me and my wife was little bit disappointed."

  • "Both my wife and I really enjoyed this restaurant. The food was fresh and tasted fantastic. This was the second time I've eaten here and both times the service and entrees were exceptional. Especially loved the scallops."

  • "This by far exceeded all of my expectations for my anniversary surprise dinner for my girlfriend. From the intial greeting of the hostess to the dining in with our waiter and the mouth watering food.. Mmm delicious! The drinks were very good as well. The ambiance was perfect for a romantic dinner for 2. Don't get me wrong groups of 5 and more would have a blast but I couldn't help enjoying the company of my better half and the staff made us feel very welcomed!!! It's a must go if you haven't been and a MUST GO AGAIN once you have gone .. I'll be back soon to try more of the menu. I defiantly recommend trying the "fried rice" as a side... Mmm Mmm good! Thank you everyone at 15 Steps!"

  • "My wife and I went for dinner during the boat show. The place was fairly busy, but not overly so. The food was interesting, fresh and very good. The price was reasonable for the quality. The service was friendly, but very disorganized. We ended up waiting over an hour for our main course."

  • "We recently dined here and were pleasantly surprised. Food was a step above 1500 degrees. Everything was fresh and flavorful, I loved the farm to table concept. We started off with the tuna crudo, which was fresh, citrusy and delicious. Then we had the roasted carrot salad with a walnut pesto that was fabulous. We tried the roasted tomato soup: incredible. I ordered the swordfish with cauliflower, eggplant and almonds. Not only was it really tasty, but the portions were big and everything was within my grain-free diet. I was so happy. Ernesto, our waiter, was great without being overbearing. The decor is beautiful. Overall, a great place to dine close to home, whether on date night or with a group. Will definitely be coming back again."

  • "The food at 15 Steps was mediocre and the service even worse. Can't imagine why anyone would give this restaurant any more than 3 stars. Since we're staying at The Eden Roc, it made sense to grab a quick lunch at 15 Steps the following day. Bad decision! The red pepper tomato soup was high on the red pepper, low on quality and taste . The Caesar salad tasted like the packaged salads from the grocery store . My husband's curry chicken salad sandwich was not great either. The bread was decent but the chicken salad tasted heavy handed on the curry and the chicken was gristly. As if that wasn't enough, the service was super slow and the price of our lunch exorbitant. We won't be returning ."

  • "With some of the reviews and the touting of the chef, I thought the food would be phenomenal. The swordfish was over cooked and the scallops a little sandy. The atmosphere was good, but I would have liked better food and more small plate options."

  • "Initially, when I was searching for a place for dinner on Thanksgiving, I liked 15 Steps because of the fact the ad I read stated that the children would be taken to another place within the restaurant and they'd decorate caramel apples. When we got there, I asked the chef and he said he never heard of that. This was my main reason we chose to dine here was what I told him and he just shook his head and stood in front of me saying nothing."

  • "We were staying at the Eden Roc for thanksgiving weekend and 15 Steps had a thanksgiving special feast buffet dinner. The food was amazing. Probably the best turkey I've tasted! The service was great and the staff was in a festive mood even though they were working rather than being home with family. All in all a great thanksgiving meal with my family courtesy of 15 steps."

  • "Great ambiance and service, wondeful meal. We choose the multiple services and wine experience (don't remember the name of it) and everything was awesome. The only thing is, the service was a bit too fast... we didn't have time to finish our plate and wine, and the other plate and glass was coming."

  • "Loud and fairly aggressive waiter for our table. Good for steak and pork chops, although expensive given the environment ($32 for pork chop and $52 for steak which did not include anything else). Quality of meat good but everything else typical American: lacking quality and subtle food tastes. Bottom line: go there for meat and do not expect much else. Get used to Miami Beach: loud, expensive (I noticed some restaurants had increased prices 50-75% since last year, including 15 Steps), and do not expect delicate flavours: I do not know what the vegetables had done to 15 Steps to deserve such punishment!"

  • "Had dinner with three others this week. We all ordered the three course prix fix menu. Every morsel of every course was delicious! Really great and I am a food snob. However, we told the waiter when we got there that it was my friend's birthday and he forgot about it. When I reminded him after dessert arrived he did bring her a complimentary glass of champagne. We asked that dinner be split between two credit cards and he charged one an extra $60! He corrected it after we brought it to his attention. Also, there was an 18 percent service charge already on each Charge slip which i found surprising. Normally I don't expect the automatic tip unless there is a much larger group. So while we LOVED the food, that waiter needs help!"

  • "I went to this place even after I read in every single review that the service was awful, and effectivelly, the service was a disaster. First bread never came, then I had to be constantly asking for wine from MY bottle which was placed in a different zip code that my table. The food took for ever, and even if it was not bad, it does not make up for the dessasterous service. I believe that with a managerial change this restaurNt could become very good, however so far it is not."

  • "It always strikes me I am asked about my expectations after the dining experience and not before! I recommend the staff of any establishment to identify customers as A,B or C. A=enjoys prompt service, quick transition time between courses, & check with dessert. B=enjoys moderate attention. C=prefers quiet, relaxing, non-intrusive service approach. Your food quality is excellent and the hostess was kind and knowledgable. Music was all over the place, low and jazzy (preferred) and contemporary loud (not preferred). The Eden Rock location more than anything else differentiates 15 Steps from every other eating establishment at your price point. It's evident Management is struggling with the restaurant's name. • "I was so looking forward to our time at this restaurant. Made very special effort to get here. What a disappointment! We have been doing Miami Spice for years now, and this is the first I have not only seen a menu that was created only for Miami Spice (they pushed upcharging their regular menu) but to serve an 8oz. flank steak! How cheap can you really get.! The waitress was inattentive and the rice pudding was undercooked thus hard. At time to pay, their credit card machine was not working so we had to stand around for about 10 minutes while they got it fixed. We received an apology and waive goodbye. Yes, good bye forever."
