15 Point Road
A place you'll want to return to.Everything on the menu was mouth watering and I've had many of the items. This time I was on a diet and they were more than ready to accommodate my needs. The food was excellent, the service was great and the owner even came out to great us. That's a nice touch. They also have a nice new deck over looking the water. Our dining partners were also very pleased, and we will all be returning. I must have those scallops again, they were perfectly cooked.6/14/2013 12:00:00 AMGreat meal with viewMy family has been dining at this restaurant since it first opened 15 or so years ago. The new (2-3 years) owners really go out of their way to make sure you have a great experience. Seeing us trying to squeeze into a parking space, the owner came out and moved the car next to us to make it easier for Mom to get out (my mother is handicapped). We usually order our favorites (stuffed baked scrod for Mom, baked scallops for me), but we tried some different entrees and weren't disappointed. Mom had the Sole en Brick, which is sole seared, then packed in a puff pastry. It was so good, she ate most of the pastry first! I had the swordfish special--large portion, yum! Price of entrees ($16-30 or so) includes salad, veggies.6/9/2013 12:00:00 AMConsistently excellent foodThe hallmark of consistency is to dine here on a very busy night. 15 Point came through. We diner here with another couple that was celebrating their 16th anniversary. Two big thumbs up for the pan-seared scallops with mushroom risotto and aoili sauce. This has become my new favorite entree. Accolades also for the fish and chips and prime rib with garlic and thyme. As always, the staff is very friendly.6/8/2013 12:00:00 AMPerfectionEverything was terrific. Will be back. Just wish the parking situation was better6/7/2013 12:00:00 AMMore than pleasedWhen I travel, I always look for privately owned restaurants with superb offerings. I can usual tell by reading the menu and the ingredients used. I was more than pleased with my dining experience. The extra was the fact the bar is backed by two large picture windows giving customers a nice view of the water.6/6/2013 12:00:00 AMA rare night out with my wife...I chose 15 Point Rd. based on other reviews from Open Table. We were not dissappointed. The view, the food and the overall atmosphere made from a great night out. I highly recommend it and will return.6/1/2013 12:00:00 AMSeaview/Seafood, Outstanding staffIn an amazing spot surrounded by water, this unassuming shingle restaurant was busy serving a variety of fresh sea and land specialties. The Maitre'D and waitress were outstanding in being friendly and generous. We were celebrating my son's birthday (early 20's) and he received several items 'on the house' with great warmth and kindness. I had a seafood casserole with puff pastry top. I lifted the light pastry to focus on the wonderful prizes inside: scallops, lobster, and cod. The fried calamari were delicious and my son loved a dish of salmon grilled with pesto - followed by a very nice carrot cake - though it was more than he could finish at that point. Nice to be treated so well and enjoyed the experience.5/31/2013 12:00:00 AMGreat findA memorable experience with lovely water views, attentive service, and great food.5/18/2013 12:00:00 AMA good meal alwaysThumbs up for the slow roasted Prime Rib with garlic and thyme served with mixed vegetables. Thumbs Up also for the Seafood Pasta.5/18/2013 12:00:00 AMbeen here many times and alwaysbeen here many times and always a great experience5/18/2013 12:00:00 AMYum!We always enjoy our meal at 15 Point road! I think the biggest problem is trying to choose something from all of their amazing options!! We waited a bit for anyone to come over and wait on us, or even get us drinks/water, that was the only negative about our evening. But everything was great after that!5/17/2013 12:00:00 AMAwesomeYoung Owners go out of their way to make sure your comfortable and satisfied. Staff was wonderful; fast, efficient, very very friendly, and made our dining experience superb! Unfortunately, our scrod was a bit dry, and could have used more sauce- and the baked potatoes overbaked. Disappointed in this part of the dinner. Everything else was delightful.5/3/2013 12:00:00 AMReliably consistently good foodOur party of four enjoyed our meal thoroughly. The pan seared scallops with mushroom rissotto were a hit as were the Chilean Sea Bass and the King & Prince (Lobster meat, spinach & medallions of milk-fed veal in a sherry cream sauce over fettuccini. 2 of the members in our party were dining here for the 1st time. For such a small dining area the noise level was not intrusive at all. Our primary waitperson, Julie, did an incredible job!4/6/2013 12:00:00 AMCan't wait to go back!We went for Newport Restaurant Week. Great deal for great food! Waited too long to call for a reservation, so we sat a bit later than we usually like to, and got there after the sun set, so didn't get to take advantage of the great water view. This place is right on the water and is charming! The staff couldn't have been nicer, from the host who greeted us at the door, to the bartender (we got there early enough to get a drink at the bar while waiting for our reservation time) and the server who waited on us at our table were all very professional. The food was delicious! We'll definitely be back.4/6/2013 12:00:00 AMYummy and right on the waterLoved it! Beautiful location, comfortable restaurant, yummy comfort food. Highly recommended!
