  • Great Restaurant for Tapas

The restaurant had a nice atmosphere and good tapas dishes. It was quiet which was surprising since the area was busy. Our waiter said the restaurant was a new location of a restaurant that was pretty popular in the Woodlands so I'm the diners will pick up once they hear about this place.

Cocktails were good, but the bartender & waiter couldnt decide who had our table. We literally waived our arms for attention every time & tabbed out just to get outta there. For a table of 3 beautiful ladies who wanted to eat & drink for friend's bday...very disappointing! The valet gave superior service by comparison. Lol

I was surprised at how empty it was when we went. Granted, it was a weeknight, but given how good the food was, more people should avail themselves of such a great place! First, the outdoor dining area is very nice. It would be a great place to relax and have drinks with friends. The white sangria is very tasty, as it has a hint of peach. I do wish it had actual chunks of fruit in it, but taste wise, it was very refreshing. As far as the food, this ranked high amongst the various tapas places I have tried in Houston. The garlic shrimp and pork empanadas were both very tasty. Also, the sausages with a kick with the cheese at the bottom too were very tasty. They definitely had some kick to them, and warning this is a dish best for groups!

we went on a saturday early evening, and it was practically empty. the bartender said they do most of their business on the week days. i had the best empanada i have ever had there: light , flaky crust, and spicy beef mixture inside. delicioso! the other tapas were good as well. the shrimp with garlic was good with just the right amount of garlic. we definitely plan to return. the staff was friendly and relaxed.

It is a cute little bar but the tapas are way overpriced for the small amount of food received. After spending $100, we went for pizza in the tasting room. I will not be back.

we were disappointed-after a good review on the food and its authenticity, we were disappointed i9n the wines and the croquettas which were so good before were poory fried soggy and unappealing-but it is more of a bar than an eatery and perhaps chef takes Mondays off-

Bad service and food was disappointing. I'm sure this restaurant will be gone soon. There are too many good places in Houston to waste money at 1252. Sad as the location is great.

I've been here a few times, and I keep coming back, so it can't be that bad. On this occasion the food was mediocre and the service poor. Had this experience before too. It's hit or miss. I like the tequila flights. Honestly, you can get a better meal and service at TQLA, but Uptiwn is closer and I prefer Tapas to Mexican cuisine.

Great place for a quiet lunch since it wasn't crowded. The roasted red pepper soup and the dessert sampler was great...especially the Mango Ice Cream.

The food was good and the ambiance even better. The only odd thing was the hostess had no record of our reservation. We showed her the email confirmation from Open Table and she still seemed to be clueless and said that they had no table for us. Finally the manager came over and said he would find us something. We ended up sitting at the bar - which turned out to be really pleasant as the bartender was friendly and easy on the eye.

we went for the tapas which were excellent--this small pace is virtually though a bar for the young -they have elaborate happy hours and music and such-a fun casual atmiosphere etc. I bet it is noisy when full. We went on a Monday night and had a wonderful time with just the food wich is aas good as in Spain and served on small plates to share---delicious-but it is a hip place--so as a mature individual would go back for the food but check the times they have live music to skip--menus delightful--If I were young and with friends you could not keep me away-but go for the best in tapas

Food on the whole was good. Gambas al Ajillo were bland.....where was the garlic? Good wine list, but the reds are on the high side. Was disappointed that there were not very many Spanish wines on their list. One would think that a "Tapas" restaurant would lean towards Spain for their wine list
