121 Restaurant has been serving the North Salem and the larger Westchester Community since 1999. Our chef mandates the use of local, organic, and sustainable products, never compromising quality. The simplicity and bold flavors of our dishes stimulates a culinary driven dialogue between diners, allowing them to find their common ground through food. 121’s menus hold no allegiance to any one cuisine or culture, rather a compendium of comfort foods throughout the world, with a modernized flare.

  • "We were pleasantly surprised to see the great changes to 121. The decor is lovely with a rustic contemporary design. They have added a window in the main dining room which over looks the show kitchen. The Crispy Fried Chicken, Tomato Toast, Roasted Fennel and Wood Fired Pizzas are Winners!! Love the improvements. I wish we had a place like this in Las Vegas."

  • "This was our second time dining at 121 and it impressed us once again. We went on a food binge and had 3 courses each, each one better than the other. The Watermelon Gazpacho, which was perfectly seasoned and refreshing (beautiful presentation). We each had a salad after that, fennel & blacked mango, both not your usual salads which is great because you can find a green salad anywhere. Finally we had a fried chicken, which was amazing! <--Coming from someone southern raised, and a salmon. The salmon dish was very fresh and exciting. The cucumber yogurt sauce gave the whole dish a bright and slightly sour punch to it. We ended our meal with a chocolate tasting for two, which was outstanding! We have found our new favorite spot!"

  • "The space is open, lots of clean lines. Large window into the kitchen gave us a good view of the busy and professional staff. Loved the menu. Lots of choices of small plates, appetizers and pizzas. Wonderful entrees as well. The food was fresh, delicious and they delivered old favorites in an exciting way. We tried the ravioli special of the night, filled with sweet corn. It was amazing as was the grilled mango salad! Wait-staff was friendly and efficient. We were greeted warmly on arrival and thanked for coming as we left. We will certainly be back soon!"

  • "we took friends to dinner, sat outside on the wide porch. beautiful setting. the service was perfectly attentive, even as it started to get crowded (Fri. eve). The food was delicious and perfect size servings. The owner, Michelle, stopped by several times and sent over a couple of extra appetizers which were quickly devoured. The wine was excellent. Our only complaint is that the wine list doesn't have those less expensive "finds" for casual dinners."

  • "Wanted to see the restaurant since renovation in April. We could not have had a better meal. Service is attentive, not intrusive. Very professional. Food is fresh and inventive. Watermelon gazpacho was refreshing with a hint of spice. Octopus cooked perfectly not chewy with great beans. Pizza crust to die for! Thoroughly enjoyed the chocolate dessert for two. Dining rooms are refreshed, modern with clean lines. We are looking forward to going back very soon. Even the new dining chairs were the most comfortable we have found!"

  • "I stumbled upon 121 restaurant a few months ago but had never gotten around to trying it. My girlfriend and i were celebrating her birthday and left extremely happy. The food is not the same as the surrounding restaurants. The chef has his own idea about what the menu should look like (said the waiter) and I think it works great. The Heirloom tomato toast was perfect. Simple but really showed the qualities of the tomato. My girlfriend had the pork chop with cherry mustard, which was also perfectly balanced. The desserts were simple as well but perfectly executed. Our server was very nice, and helped us pick and choose some of the items on the menu. In all, our first experience at 121 was a memorable one and we will defiantly be back."

  • "New decor is fine even though tries to be trendy New York but is really blah !! The chef wants to be creative and his menu is also blah !! The place was half empty; this is the second time I came since the renovation, wishing the Chef would have learned and adjust his menu offering. He obviously feels content with his "creative menu". I could not find something on the menu that was attractive; and by the way the menu shown on open table is the old one prior to the renovation (the ok one). The only way this place will be back rolling, will be when he decides to reintroduce "normal food" that people have been coming for and not that wannabe "creative" non sense. It tries to be Jean Georges Inn at Pound Ridge; it is not."

  • "New management definitely needs to work on service and menu. It's not the same 121. The servers were sweet and polite, but they did not know the wine/alcohol menu, did not remove appetizer plates before entrees arrived, did not check on us immediately after the "salads" arrived. The menu is not clear. I ordered what I thought from the description was a mango, strawberry, goat cheese salad. Well, the plate arrived with no greens. This "salad" was listed under "Caesar" and others on the starter portion of the menu. Just the week before, I had visited and ordered a strawberry, goat cheese salad for lunch and it HAD greens. Inconsistent! Pleas have the waitstaff wear a crisp white or blue blouse. The servers outfits are too casual."

  • "This was our second trip here in a week. The remodeled space was very nice and seemed more spacious. The full window into the kitchen was a really nice addition. Tuna Tartare, Shrimp Ceviche and Pea Soup were fantastic. Never had pea soup like this before. (It was ordered both trips). Pizza was excellent, Lobster roll was outstanding. A very unique chimichurri sauce came on the hanger steak. It wasn't spicy at all, which brought out the other flavors. The presentation of the steak with crisp potatoes and grilled broccolli was different, and very tasty. This has become our new "go to" restaurant in the area."

  • "This was my first time dining at 121 since their remodeling. The drinks, ambiance, and energy was all very enjoyable. However, the entrees and dessert were was disappointing. The snapper dish was edible but not special in any way. The pork sausage that was part of the scallop entrée was bland. It's no surprise that, since they kept our wine with everyone else's at a central location, we were told at one point we had finished our bottle even though we had seen wine left during the last pour. The very nice waiter acknowledged his mistake a few minutes later. Just overall lacking when you spend an average of over $30 per entrée. The appetizers were actually quite tasty. We all really liked the experience until the entrees. Disappointed."

  • "The wait staff T Restaurant 121 goes way beyond the norm to be of service. I asked for a few extra needs for my meal and all were filled immediately. When the floor air conditioner came on too strongly under my seat, they turned it off. Food choices are interesting-- not your usual. Very enjoyable."

Between us the had the kale salad (great), lobster roll (excellent), sweet chili shrimp and cheddar grits (surprisingly amazing) and the artic char (incredible especially the spring onions). We liked 121 before and love it now. Many thanks to the team at 121 for a great meal and great service."

  • "The renovations are beautiful, the place looks great. The lobster rolls were delicious, a little on the small side. One person in our group asked for a lunch size portion of a salad appetizer & the waiter advised her that it was a good size already. This was definitely not true. Another friend ordered sesame chicken. The single dried out slab of chicken was coated on one side with sesame seeds - no sauce. She had to return it to the kitchen and order something else. Lunch was overpriced and nothing to rave about. The service was okay. The menu is all over the place. I really miss a number of items that they've been serving for years. Hopefully they'll iron things out quickly, in the past I always looked forward to going to 121."

The menu has transformed, again. There are several interesting new options, but long time favorites for some are gone.   • "Having been a longtime patron of 121, I was excited but also a little nervous about the renovations. Those fears disappeared the second we went inside. The place looks great! The bar is now a lounge area perfect for casual dining with a group. Also, the bar scene was vibrant and a lot younger than I remember prior to the renovation. As for the dining experience, the small-plate menu is amazing and crafted for foodies like my wife and me. We tasted our way through several incredible and unique plates before ordering the entrees. And the great wine selection is entirely BY THE GLASS! Awesome for trying a few different things and pairing the wine with each dish. We LOVE the new 121! Well worth the wait, and we'll be back soon."

  • "This was my first time in since they have renovated. I was lucky enough to get a tour of the entire space, next time I go i'm sitting in what I was told is the Ridge Room. On this visit I was in a dining room next to the bar that had a large window putting the kitchen on display, it was super neat to be able to see everything happening! The new menu is really exciting, so many things I would never thing to order but glad I did; scotch egg, chicken pepites and charred cauliflower! They still had my all time favorite, shrimp & grits - and a great hangar steak with a baked and then fried potato! 121 has always been good but now it's the kind of place my friends will love coming to time and time again. "

  • "They redid the entire place - nice atmosphere - good looking interior but the food is terrible. The appetizer of lamb riblets was 99% fat - not edible. and the pizza with Hollandaise sauce was dripping (way too much) with an unappealing orange sauce. they should Dab it on - instead of slathering. The bread (made from pizza dough) was terrific but the food wasn't good. It's ironic because the food , before the overhaul, was quite good. What happened to" leave well enough alone,""

  • "The restaurant was half empty and the server forgot we were there. It took over and hour to get our meals. The pizza's we order were ok, but my guest come in fro LI, and NJ to eat the shrimp Thai pizza we had in the past (we were disappointed to learn they no longer offered it). New owners? The magic of the restaurant is missing, we'll skip any future encounters after golf, and find some other restaurant for comfort food elsewhere. "

  • "My husband and I have frequented 121 many times for lunch and dinner. This was our fist time back since the renovation. We liked it much better before - it had charm and warmth- now it doesn't. They tried to modernize and make the look more hip - doesn't work for us. The one thing I did like very much was the window to the kitchen in the dinning room. Service was slow and not attentive. And the menu was awful. Too esoteric and not enough entrees. We had to settle on pizza and that's not what we went there for. We did enjoy the kale and Caesar salads we ordered. They ran out of the desert we wanted and it was only 9:00. We would return, but only if the menu changes. Sorry to see this lovely neighborhood gem change."

  • "The new décor is nice, but my wife and I much prefer the old menu to the new one. The current menu, with many more unusual dishes, seems to be trying too hard to replicate something one might find in NYC. I don't believe remote northern Westchester is ready for this. Several diners around us seemed to agree as they longed for items that are no longer on the menu. In addition, the new menu is not especially kid-friendly."

  • "We were looking forward to dining here after the new renovation. The new menu has fewer selections and there were no specials the night we dined. We had a hard time finding something to choose but that could be because lots of our old favorites are no longer on the menu. The new renovation gives the restaurant a very light open feel. Not a fan of the long table in the middle of the main dining area. Surprisingly, there were some service issues, not something I would have expected from a restaurant that has been around for a while. My daughter got the wrong pizza, our doggie bag was never delivered and the service was choppy at best. I'm hoping the kinks get worked out soon as this was one of our favorite places."

  • "A little disappointing. We were seated for 15 mins before we were given a menu, another 10 mins before someone took a drink order and then another 10 mins for the drinks to arrive - that was the tone for the rest of the service in general. Our waiter ignored our son when he was taking drinks orders (maybe thought kids wouldnt want anything) and later actually walked away whilst our son was ordering his meal. The menu was small so we thought everything would be exquisite, in fact it was very average. Lamb riblets were especially very fatty. The pizza was good though, the rennovations are great, atmosphere very nice but they need to improve service and attention to detail. We used to love 121 and hope it recovers its previous form. "
