Diner Reviews
  • "I have been there twice for casual business lunches with colleagues. Good, quick service. Good food. Allows for talking over lunch."

  • "Came here to watch the world cup final this weekend. Been here a few times and the food and service are always consistent. The fact that they have over 40 tvs and the place isn't well known made it perfect for my group brunch and afternoon of drinks & sports. The food was ok but not everyone was happy with their meal (specifically the chicken on top of the salads which was bland). The main issue was our waitress who seemed like she didn't want to be there, barely checked on us after we finished eating, and when she did she would take the order of one person and then rush off. It got better towards the end, I think someone told her to check her attitude and another waitress who came on shift later on was very nice."

  • "Super nice staff, quick service and awesome bloody marys. The restaurant itself is beautiful and well kept."

  • "We chose this restaurant b/c it was in our neighborhood and we hadn't been (try a new place). The food was OK, it wasn't great. Items on the menu look very appetizing but it's not what you get. The black angus sliders were burnt on the bottom/well-done and the pretzel buns were hard. The chicken in the grilled chicken blt was overcooked, also it wasn't an entire chicken breast it had been cut in 1/2 for $15 I expect the entire chicken breast not a portion of it. The french dipped prime rib had a good taste but was slightly overcooked, also the portion size was small."

  • "I've been here before for happy hour and business lunches. Great atmosphere for happy hour, but the lunched were not that great. It was hard to get our waitress' attention and our food took long to get out. The food wasn't great with the exception of the burger. My bacon wrapped dates were basically dates (could not taste the bacon) and my steak salad was underwhelming. There was barely any dressing and the noodles and vegetables were overcooked."

  • "I've been to 121 Fulton Street twice for lunch. I have been thrilled with the food both times. The short ribs tacos were exquisite. Love the Thai beef salad. I'm planning to go back there for lunch and drinks/appetizers after work."

  • "Excellent gastro pub in the FiDi. I've only been there for lunch twice, and the food and service were both very good. Nice looking bar with great vibe after work for an after work drink with friends."

  • "There are not a lot of great choices for a higher-end lunch in this area, but 121 Fulton Street is very good. It has a slick decor that is a combination between a high-end sports bar and a nicer dining restaurant. The food is very good, and the wait staff is professional and cheerful. It has become my go-to place for business lunches when I am near City Hall. "

  • "We were in NY for the day & couldn't decide where to have lunch. Open Table gave us lots of options & we're glad we tried 121 Fulton. The service was attentive & the food was great. We tried the filet mignon tacos & short rib grilled cheese...both delicious. I also recommend the sweet potato wedges. They are amazing!!!"

  • "We got there at 2:50 on a Sunday afternoon and were told they were done serving brunch. Super disappointing because we came all the way downtown for their brunch, which is normally delicious and plus they have an amazing drink special. Who stops serving brunch at 3 on a Sunday?!?!?!?! So we left and went to one of the other dozens of restaurants in the area who serve brunch until 4. Very disappointing, as this place is normally awesome and the food is delicious and I would highly recommend it. But the brunch thing was a deal breaker."

  • "I found this restaurant on Groupon and it was perfect, as I wanted to take my partner out for brunch on his birthday. The price was good and while the food was average, the Truffle Fries were awesome. The only thing I didn't care for was the server mentioning that it was a Groupon deal. Not that it bothered me or my partner (I told him in advance). But if it were a different type of situation, it could spoil the situation. Just my thought."

  • "I enjoyed my experience at 121 Fulton ( this was nto my first time) however, every-time I go for a meal, I am put off by how noisy it is. While i do expect the noisy atmosphere at Bar, when one is having a meal with a companion - conversation is nearly impossible I think it might have something to do with the shape - it is a very narrow entrance etc. That said, food and service are fine! The Chicken BLT ( I always have it without Bacon ) is an excellent lunch choice!"

  • "Very loud. Good for afterwork drinks but not for dinner. Have to scream at your party! There is no place that is quiet at 6:30!"

  • "One of the few places downtown, with lots of space, yet reasonable, rarely a wait, easy to talk (not too noisy), great staff and service and very good food. Highy recommend!"

  • "Great choice for financial district: reliably tasty, with healthy as well as more decadent menu options. Peanut chicken salad was crunchy and portion was generous. Definitely ask for the lime vinaigrette - even better than the peanut dressing!"

  • "Cocktails were great! I've eaten there once before and the meal was better than this experience. Since the food was better the first visit I would go back again to give it another opportunity."

  • "A small group of us came to 121 Fulton to watch the BCS championship game. We were seated in the back in a booth with great views of the TVs directly above. Some of the group complained that sitting directly under the TVs hurt their neck so they moved to a nearby table to get an easy viewing spot. The place was nice and warm which was great after the frigid temps. Each one of us ordered an entree and enjoyed everything (even the salads which can be questionable at a sports bar.) The only thing we noted with the service was that it really dwindled as the evening went on. At one point, someone had to go to the bar to order a beverage since we couldn't find our waitress. All in all though, it was a good spot and we will probably return."

  • "Have recently discovered 121 and I am glad we did. Décor is great, bar is awesome and the food is really good. We live in the neighborhood and this is our new 'go to' place for brunch on the weekends and a random dinner and drinks during the week."

  • "While the food was decent (interesting slider sampler, solidly prepared sandwiches), the specific temperature requests were certainly ignored (medium rare burger was well-done, seared salmon ordered rare was also very overcooked). Overall food quality was still satisfactory, and prices were appropriate for lunch in the financial district. However, the service, a harried waitress who never refilled our wine glasses, forgot requests for additional condiments, and took almost a full 15 minutes to finally get us the check, made the meal less enjoyable. There are enough other options for classic american fare in the area that we won't be returning."

  • "I booked a table for work buddies, but it appears that Happy Hour prices are not valid during Happy Hour. I live in Manhattan and expect to pay $10-15 for a glass of wine at a bar, but not during Happy Hour. we were charged $11-12 for each glass of wine we had, and that added up to a hefty tab. on the positive side, I had a burger that was absolutely perfectly cooked. service was very attentive, which is rare for a bar/restaurant."

  • "My boyfriend and I came for a late dinner on Friday night. We liked the atmosphere and the food was great. Our waitress on the other hand was not. She was polite and pleasant, but she disappeared for like 20 minutes in the beginning so it took a while to get our order in. We noticed she was standing behind the bar just talking. We looked past that since we weren't in any rush, but then she messed my boyfriend's meal up. Then from the moment we got our meal, she was hovering over us as if to rush us out. Even though we didn't care for the waitress we still plan to come back."

  • "I've always said that I can cook for myself but when I go out, it's really the service that counts. Our waitress was very accommodating."

  • "After a long drive into the city and a rush to make our reservation, I was disappointed to walk into a ridiculously loud, poorly laid out restaurant. Open Table's "Energetic" rating on noise level certainly doesn't convey the misery that was the my dining experience in the "quiet area". Waiters were nice, but we were forced to repeat our orders, yelling across the table. Specials? I don't know, I saw her lips move, but have no idea what was said. The appetizers were disappointing, but my steak was quite good. Dinner for four nearly $300? Definitely not worth it, especially when the bus boy kept taking everything off our table - just rude. I booked weeks ago an told them it was our anniversary - they couldn't even acknowledge it."

  • "This was our first time to dine here. My husband and I had brunch on a Sunday morning. We had bottomless mimosas (yum!) with Eggs Benedict and an Omelet. The food was very good, but not piping hot. We had an open air table right next to the sidewalk so we were able to enjoy the neighborhood while eating. The service was excellent- a very attentive and helpful waitress. We would dine here again."

  • "Great menu with lots of interesting options, including multiple vegetarian options. We went for lunch around 2pm. The staff was friendly, though probably a little over-committed to too many tables. The food itself was very tasty, and the drinks and the one dessert we ordered were all outstanding. I'd definitely go back for dinner."

  • "121 Fulton is a great place in the neighborhood - lovely upscale 'pub' feel with a broad menu and very tasty meals. Peanut chicken salad was crunchy and generous portion; blackened shrimp salad looked good, and fish tacos were also excellent."

  • "Cool little gastropub find while exploring downtown on a weekend. Love those little nook and cranny spots in between old new york streets."

  • "For lunch, the prices seemed good, but the portions were tiny. However, the taste made up for that - good stuff. Service was spotty."

  • "The truffle mac and cheese is unbelievable. So tasty. My husband had the short rib grilled cheese and that was also fantastic. We also ordered the risotto croquettes, which were the only disappointment of the evening. Overall very good food and a fun atmosphere. Would certainly go back."

  • "My reservation was at 7pm on a Tuesday night. The bar and restaurant was packed. It was very, very, very noisy and hard to have a conversation with co-workers at the same table. Things did quiet down at the end of the evening. The food and service was good but I wouldn't go back during prime time if I wanted to have a decent dinner conversation."
