The idea behind One Eleven Chop House was to establish a Chicago-style steakhouse right here in Worcester. The elegance and sophistication of the decor complements some of the best-tasting steaks and chops you'll find anywhere. All of our cuts are either certified prime-grade or in the top 10% of the choice grade. And they're all expertly prepared. Choose from traditional steaks done right or less traditional favorites, such as Long Island Duck Two Ways, Sirloin Encrusted in Black Pepper with a Shallot Brandy Cream Sauce, or a Mixed Grill of Filet Mignon, Confit of Duck and Blackened Shrimp.

  • "We chose the chop house for our monthly date night and were not disappointed. We found the ambience lovely, and the service prompt and efficient. My husband raved about the maryland crab cake and we both loved the oysters on the half shell, which had the perfect taste of the sea without a speck of grit. Our cocktails were expertly prepared and our server was helpful with a wine selection for our entrees. My husband devoured his bone-in ribeye, which was cooked to medium rare perfection, and my skirt steak and frites was just as delectable. We also had the amazing raspberry creme brulee to finish our perfect meal. Thank you again for a lovely experience!"

  • "Not having been there for several years, we decided to dine before theater. We had 6:00 pm reservations and were seated immediately. We were introduced to two wait staff and were told both would be serving us. I ordered the veal shank and my wife ordered the duck. Although good, nothing about either dish stood out. I expected better for the prices. Our wait staff were courteous and attentive without being overly zealous. There was an obvious lack of training as our wait person continually reached in front of me to serve my wife. We were seated at a table, not a booth, so there was ample room to walk around me. As before, the room was very noisy. I would hesitate before going back."

  • "I approached the dining scene in Worcester with a great deal of skepticism coming from Boston, but my first (and certainly not my last) meal at 111 Chop House ensured that I could put by fears aside and that there was a tremendously good steakhouse available. Service was beyond top notch - unobtrusive yet always seemingly there. The steaks were delicious and perfectly cooked, and the sides were typical, but very tasty fare. The true gem is the wine list of seemingly endless value and pedigree, of which I could not be more impressed. I wholeheartedly recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for a find in Worcester and cannot wait to return."

  • "Visited for Father's Day. Reservation was for 5:00pm, but was seated early. There were few patrons, and there were 2 waiters for our table. They were very pleasant, but somewhat unattentive. We hoped for better service as the restaurant was not busy at all. Many of the waitstaff hung around talking with each other as we sat with our glasses empty on the table. The salads must be pre-made and put in the fridge. My dish had ice on the side. When the entrees came, the sides were not ready yet. By sides took another 5 minutes and arrived cold. We needed to flag down a waitress and let her know. She offered to 'heat them up' for us. I asked for a new order. By the time the new sides arrived, they were still cold. Very unhappy."

From the warm greeting at the door straight through to the attentive service and sweet anniversary congratulations drizzled on our dessert plates, the experience was terrific.   • "We have dined there a few times over the last few months. We made reservations ahead of time so our table is generally available when we get there. I love the French onion soup there. They tend to overlook the steak a bit there. When I ordered medium, I get what I consider medium well. The Long Island duck dish was disappointing. I like the surf and turf. Dessert selection is good but not to die for. The newly introduced vanilla ice cream on pastry shell was terrible. Overall a decent place to bring family on special occasions."

  • "The food was top notch. I had lobster bisque and it was loaded w/lobster chunks. My huband had the onion soup and it was great. We had filet mignon and wagyu steak, both excellent. There were only 2 things that I didn't like...it was extremely noisy in the restaurant, maybe an architect or decorator could suggest some small changes that would reduce the noise level? The second thing I didn't like was that some menu items were a la carte and some were complete meals. The wagyu steak came with mushrooms & roasted potatoes and I asked if there was a charge for substitutions and at first I was told "no." Then the waiter said it would be $3 for each substitution. If you give wrong info in favor of the customer, you should stick to it."

  • "We went to the 111 Chop house with a group of 8 people. Although we had reservations, we had to wait to be seated at our table. Once seated, the service was friendly and attentive. Most of our party had fish (summer swordfish, haddock, lobster scampi, and scallops), which was very good, a couple had meat which was also very good. The side portions (mashed potatoes, roasted red potatoes, and brussel sprouts) were large enough for two and were excellent."

  • " It was our anniversary - my impression is that the evening was very good - but expectations can temper or enhance an experience. I'd say we might have been expecting TOO much. A bit too noisy for my taste. Food was very good but not outstanding. Only 1 of us drinks alcohol, and even then, usually only one drink. Still, the bill came to about $100 - seemed overpriced in my humble opinion. As I said, however, it was almost a year ago and I've only been there once."

  • "We were shocked at how much the food had slipped since our last dinner at 111. I ordered a steak between rare and very rare. It came back a little too rare and I asked that it be given a bit of heat. Unfortunately, when it arrived it was overdone, but with guests that I did not return it for a third time. The lamb preparation was done poorly and everything came with so much salt (Mashed potatoes in particular) that they were had to eat. The drinks were watered down, the service was mediocre, and our experience left much to be desired. It was Monday evening and there were plenty of empty tables, which should have meant better service. The beautiful could'd save the food."
