Diner Reviews
  • "We went to a weekend dinner with some friends at 1001 and ended up spending more time than we expected, but it was our choice as the food was excellent, service was timely, and the music was most authentic. I've been at Persian restaurants from Europe to the States and this is my new favorite. Will definitely be back again."

  • "Wonderful kabobs and rack of lamb. The rice is outstanding, very flavorful and unique. The music is a nice touch and is not too loud so its still easy to carry on a conversation."

  • "The food was very good. Salmon kebobs were done perfectly leaving the salmon tasty and moist. The specialty rices were particularly interesting and tasty."

  • "It was our first time eating here and we will certainly return. Very fresh. Very large portions. Very well created."

  • "We really enjoyed our experience! The wait staff was excellent! The restaurant is clean and well appointed. The live music was a bit "sleepy" but tolerable."

  • "We made a last-minute reservation for dinner on Saturday, and were still able to have dinner there, but ended up seating in a separate dining area because the main one was full. I was glad to see that the restaurant now offers wine (they did not offer alcohol the last time but welcomed bringing our own bottle). The kids were disappointed that there there was no belly dancer, but there was some live musing. The food was great as always!"

  • "We were very impressed. No one on our party had experienced Persian food before. The wait staff suggested fabulous additions to our entrees. The overall consensus at our table was that all the dishes were extremely tender and flavorful. I had the beef tenderloin and chicken combo barg. Both meats were so tender that they would fall apart as we tried to share with others in our party. The best item at the table was the chicken barg (flat chicken). We also really enjoyed the baklava cheesecake. The service was wonderful but we were the only ones in the restaurant (5:15 reservation) for the first half of our meal. Apparently there is live music later on in the evening. We would definitely make the hour drive back to dine here."

  • "Nice restaurant, good date night place. We had kids and went early in the evening, which worked out well. Food was excellent, we couldn't decide what to order! We ordered the combo kabob platter and it was all very good. I was expecting it to be a little bigger, but it still worked out really well. Staff was great in telling us how o combine different flavors for the best experience. We will definitely be going back soon!"

  • "Enjoyed the food, it was a nice change from where we normally eat. Kabobs are the specialty of the house, and the grilled chicken and lamp chops were really good. The wait staff was attentive and ensured we had what we needed through out the meal."

  • "As a parent of two young, energetic boys, I was dying to have a date night with my hubby. He found this restaurant and we made reservations after securing a baby sitter. When we arrived, I became a little disappointed because it was in the exact same location of a previous Mediterranean restaurant. The experience was mediocre and so was the food. My husband told me to trust him, that he read reviews of this place and from the pictures, it wasn't going to be the same. Lo and behold, that man was right. The ambiance was romantic, the service was great, and the food...well, you have to go and see for yourself. I ordered the Tabouli salad and Veggie kabob and it was absolutely amazing. I think this is my new favorite restaurant."

  • "I really enjoyed our dinner. The restaurant is beautiful, the food was delicious, and the service was great. I would definitely recommend it to my friends and will eat there again."

  • "Many items on the menu and many selections you will not find at other Persian restaurants. The portions are generous and the presentation is amazing. The restaurant is large and tables are well spaced. The interior of the restaurant is modern looking but still feels warm. We were seated promptly and our drink orders were taken almost immediately. The wait-staff is well versed on the menu items and they were very courteous. We will be going back to this restaurant again soon. For those looking to try something new, Persian food is not like Indian food and Persian food is not spicy."

  • "The steak kabobs were excellent. My dish (chicken in a pomegranate sauce) was okay. Too sweet for me, but the waiter had kindly forewarned me of this which I appreciated. Service was good until after we had finished our meal, no one came by to refill glasses or offer us a dessert menu. We waited for 20 minutes and had to ask to be waited on. Other than that service was fine and food came out fast."

  • "Rolando provided excellent service. We were not expecting a limited menu and some variance was allowed. The food was presented well and was flavorful. The live music was an unexpected treat."

  • "Service was terrible. Food was not what I expected...not very traditional."

  • "1001 Nights was an awesome find for two young lovers who happen to be big time Persian food fanatics. We were both thrilled to find such a high quality Persian dining experience in the area. We went for the Valentine's Day special and, even though it was awesome, will certainly be back to try a variety of other neat, exciting, and interesting menu items. Everything was a joy and we are certainly big fans!"

  • "This was our fourth time dining at 1001 Nights. We were celebrating the 20th anniversary of our wedding engagement on Valentines Day. Despite the volume of guests dining that evening our experience was not diminished. Our server Nifola was prompt, knowledgeble and thoughtful during our dining experience. We ordered the grilled Salmon Kebob entree and salad respectively. Nifola recommended we try it with a side of their spicy sauce which was superb. The Valentines Day 3-course special was an exceptional value! If you're looking for an authentic Persian experience then you will likely enjoy 1001 Nights."

  • "My husband and I have tried my high scale restaurants in Buckhead, but decided to look elsewhere. We tried 1001 Nights and it was perfect. The live middle eastern music, the service, and most of all the food! The best part is that they service Halal food if you are looking for it."

  • "My wife and I and another couple had lunch at 1001 this past Sunday. Sunday's the lunch menu is the same as the usual dinner menu which is great. Service is excellent and the veggie kabob was terrific. The ground chicken kabob was wonderfully spicy, just right. A real treat to have a good persian restaurant in the area."

You will love this place the moment you step foot in the door till the moment you finish your leftovers at home! :)"

  • "We dined at 1001 Nights for the first time on Friday, 1/17/2014. The food was wonderful and the musicians were fantastic! Usually I find live music in a restaurant to be overwhelming and very distracting; however, the musicians at 1001 Nights were a wonderful accompaniment to the overall enjoyment of the evening. We will definitely be heading back to 1001 Nights soon! You should too!"

  • "We LOVE Persian food & 1001 Persian nights did non disappoint. The food was delicious, staff was attentive & the BEST part was it was easy. It offered the quality you'd expect from a high-end "in town" restaurant, with out the long drive & hassle. This is by far our new favorite "date night" spot!!"

  • "We have been to 1001 Nights several times and enjoy it very much. We have tried several of the dishes and have liked them all. The bread and herb/cheese plate is delicious the hummus is also very good. I recommend this place to everyone. The salad was very fresh and well done. I have had the Shish Kabob, the Barg (both chicken and beef) and the Koobideh and all were very flavorful and well prepared. This is one of our regular places and we go often."

  • "This was our first visit and we were very pleasantly surprised. Seeing the location in a strip shopping mall we wondered what our evening would be. Wow, did we come out of there happy, full and ready to return again! The service was tremendous, the food outstanding! We'll definitely go back to 1001 Nights Persian Cuisine and will highly recommend it to others."

  • "We celebrated my wife's birthday and had an excellent meal. Did not know what to expect as a first time guest. Very good food. Very good service. Very quiet dining room on evening without a band...restaurant was about half full of patrons. They have a live band on Friday and Saturday nights. Not a full bar at this time....they do have wine, beer, and liquor. No bartender, therefore, drink selections are limited....had difficulty with a "gin and tonic" order. Otherwise, I would recommend to anyone interested in ethnic food."

  • "We eat out alot but have never seen such quality in the preparation and presentation of each dish on menu. Have been several times and have never had a bad dish. We have eaten persian food for many years and this is one of the most authentic around Atlanta. VERY IMPRESSED!"
