A word from 100 Steps Supper Club + Raw Bar
In the midwest, "supper club" means a spot where you can not only have a great meal, but a spot that functions as a bit of a social club too - a place to enjoy remarkable food + great company. One of our favorite parts of the night has been watching our customers interact - running into neighbors and friends, meeting up with family, or just enjoying a night out together - it's our own little social club. So we figured what could be more apt than calling ourselves the 100 Steps Supper Club.

The "raw bar" side - well that comes from wanting a nice, traditional oyster bar to belly up to and dive into raw oysters, clams, and other great seafood.

The two meet in our new spot, 100 Steps Supper Club + Raw Bar - welcome!

100 Steps is the sister restaurant of A Toute Heure.

  • "Another hit by Andrea and Jim. Their warmth pervades the room. Wish they would open a place in our neighborhood!"

  • "Delightful meal. The 3 of us arrived as Happy Hour was ending; shared 1-1/2 dozen oysters on the half shell. We then shared 4 plates; blistered Shisito Peppers w/goat cheese (my favorite), fried Okra with smokey roasted tomatoes & buttermilk dipping sauce; Scallop Crudo - SO good and the spicy fried crawfish tails w/chili aioli. Then ordered two bowls of Pici Pasta w/Duck Ragu, soaking up the broth w/focaccia. Desserts were Coffee Gelato, Summer Cobbler and Cheesecake with Blueberry-Toffee sauce. Everything well prepared and delicious. We loved eating in this manner, it's a fun way to have a meal. Service was a bit slow out of the kitchen, but very friendly and professional. we appreciated the BYOB. Looking forward to a return visit."

  • "Another fine meal at 100 Steps. Went with my wife and daughter, who appreciate being able to sample a variety of dishes without overeating. Food was consistently very good and portions were nicely sized. Outstanding service. Can be noisy on weekends, but this mid-week evening had a busy (but not deafening) hum. A favorite."

  • "My husband and I dined here for the first time for dinner. We loved it. The food was outstanding, the service was excellent and the ambience superb."

  • "Place was great. Ryan was very good waiter. Food excellent. Oyster shuckers the best. Lived it."

  • "The casual open feeling of the restaurant works perfectly with the concept of small plates. The food is very good. We did not have the Oysters. We went with the appetizer and main plates. The plates are small more in line with Tapas style dining. I don't eat allot so it was perfect for me. It would be better if the main plates were a bit larger. I can also highly recommend the owners other resturant Au Toute Heure."

  • "The food and service are excellent. The owner actually went to every table on a busy Friday night to greet guests. The small plates are perfect for a fun night out of eating and sharing with friends. If you go you have to try the duck ragu and beef and chorizo meatballs."

  • "Most of the dishes were things I hadn't eaten or prepared for a while. All were delicious, flavorful, and served at the right temperature. Our waitress was amazing....answered all our questions and described everything perfectly. You've got another GEM here in Cranford!"

  • "Food was well presented and quite imaginative. Staff was well versed in explaining the dishes. The owner was very involved with greeting and talking with customers and making sure they were satisfied. All in all, a very pleasant dining experience. A place to drop in to just to have a small bite of amazingly good pasta filled with taleggio."

  • "Wonderful selection of perfect oysters, terrific cioppino. Widely spaced tables and caring, well-trained staff. We'll be back...often."

  • "I took my wife to 100 Steps for her birthday and we had an excellent experience. Our waitress was cheerfully helpful and explained to us the different food items on the menu. The owner came by our table on several occasions to make sure we were happy. And the food...it was terrific. My wife and I enjoyed the challenge of selecting our plate choices from a great variety. We were very pleased with our selections and can't wait to return to try other plates."

  • "Thoughtful, well executed small (ish) plates. Pasta is homemade, the fish plates were cooked perfectly and the vegetables were fresh and local. Loved my octopus though slightly over salted. Clams and linguini were bright and lemony. Loved tasting everything we ordered. 1 appetizer, 4 plates and 1 dessert - was more than enough. A bright spot in the culinary doldrums of suburbia!"

  • "For Seafood lovers : Oyesters are really great there, didn't try the Tower (yet) but i'm sure it's worth it Definitely recommend to have some appetizers for sharing. Entrees are a bit inconsistent, but overall it's a very nice place for foodies Service was great"

  • "The genius's behind A Toute Heure have done it again! Have the fried clam belly sandwich, crawfish tails, and pasta with duck ragu. Yum!"

  • "everything we had from the raw bar was fresh and clean and delicious. all the dishes, both appetizers and mains were creative and very tasty. all dishes are meant to be shred a la tapas but the main dishes are definitely sufficient to be eaten by one person as their entree. though i mention tapas it is not Spanish cuisine. the focus i more on seafood and pastas."

  • "A big fan of 100 Steps and A Toute Heure. I find the food to be hit or miss but I think that is just a part of the tapas experience. I appreciate how inventive and experimental the chef is but the result is that some dishes are a bit off. I loved fried clam belly, octopus was incredibly tender but I found the squash blossoms to be a bit strange paired with a basil panna cotta. And the smoked chocolate mousse was not good at all--the milk jam sorbet seemed very bizarre. Unfortunately it just didn't taste good. Still love the place though and will be back."

  • "...From beginning to end. Food was just absolutely amazing. Un-rushed. Seamless service. Our server (Jessica) was extremely knowledgeable with the menu and patiently explained how the food would be served. An great gastronomic experience!"

  • "We enjoyed our first visit to 100 Steps. The food was overall solid (leaned a little towards the spicy side, which perhaps could have been our orders - but someone who likes a "kick" to their food would love it). Oysters were fresh and tasty. Love having a local raw bar that is a BYOB - bill was very reasonable! Will be back...this makes a nice addition to the restaurant scene in Cranford and the surrounding area."

  • "Love this restaurant. The seafood is amazing. Didn't' think Shrimp Cocktail could taste so good, but it does here. Love that it's all small plates, so you can try lots of things."

  • "We had a wonderful dinner at this quaint BYO. We had a bunch of fresh, delicious oysters. The ceviche was smoky and crisp. We had octopus that we cut with a fork! Everything was amazing- Including a strawberry upside down dessert with basil gelato. The service was well paced and attentive. The owner came by to thank us for visiting- It was our first visit but definitely won't be our last!"

  • "We ate at 100 Steps last nite. Aside from the unacceptable noise level, the menu was hard to navigate. Our cheese plates were TINY TINY portions of "eh" cheese with TINY pieces of stale bread. We ordered meatballs and some mushroom glop as small plates and they were seriously mediocre to bad. Our entrees were very average. I will say that dessert was very good. Prices are average and it is BYO. I would urge anyone who wants to have a really nice dining experience (including conversation with table companions) to boycott places like this. "

  • "As charter patrons of A Toute Heure we looked forward to our first visit to 100 Steps and we weren't disappointed. The clams and oysters were cold, fresh and delicious. The fried clam belly po'boy a tasty treat as were the baked oysters and steamers. Our waitress, Melanie, was helpful and considerate. At Happy Hour, the noise level was down, adding to the restaurant's clean, sharp. modern design. Andrea's coming over to chat and say hello was a very pleasant personal touch. We'll definitely return. Barbara&Sheldon Roskin Scotch Plains,NJ"

  • "I went to the restaurant with my family to celebrate an upcoming birthday. We were seated in a small corner in the restaurant, which although nice, was very cramped. The service was excellent, and the food was very good. Our only complaint would be that the restaurant once crowded, became extremely loud due to the fact that people were yelling over each other and the music.-"

  • "The food was excellent, just like ATH across the street. However, the oysters seemed a bit pricey. I am not the biggest fan of tapas either. Always seems like I order 1 too many or 1 too few dishes."

  • "Wonderful place for a romantic dinner. The service is above outstanding... never had to wait for anything or look for our waitress. The cheese board and salumi board are excellent starters. The plates are on the smaller side so you can try several different options. The beef and chorizo meatballs were delicious. This was my second visit and I cannot wait to go back."

  • "The Service is impecable! The atmosphere makes you feel like you traveled to NYC! The Oysters were Amazing!!! Love the fact that there are so many choices to choose from for Oysters and the staff are very knowledgable about each type! We enjoyed selecting several different types and having a taste test ~ all delicious! Small plates are great for sharing which they encourage you to do! Truly enjoyed our dinner at 100 steps and luckily its in the town we live it so I am sure we will be back again and again!"

  • "We tried this Centennial Village Star last Friday Night. The food was wonderful and the decor/ambiance amazing as well. The owner was kind enough to come over and introduce himself and explain the restaurant's tapas menu and approach. The service was on point and very attentive. We had the Seafood Tower to start- the oysters were amazing and the cerveche was out of this world. We moved on to the bream dish and also loved the shrimp ravioli. The two desserts were also really delicious. There are so many more dishes we want to try. We will be back. I can't wait!"

  • "Food was great! Our waitress was knowledgeable and sweet; we just felt a bit rushed as the meals came on top of each other and there was no room to put more than two dishes; as a result some good things still on the plates that were taken away (it was either that or they would have had to take the incoming meals back to the kitchen)."

  • "100 Steps is a great addition to the ATH family. Andrea and Jim have created another winner. This was our first visit at the new location after many at ATH. The location has more space and is nicely laid out. The food was fantastic as usual, but trying to get a bead on the portion size of the different offerings on the menu took some time. Our only complaint was that the background noise was a bit high. Our waitress had to lean in and shout for us to hear her, and conversation at the table was a bit difficult. Most of the noise was generated by the background music, so it could and should be lowered just a bit!"

  • "We really enjoyed our first visit to 100 Steps Supper Club + Raw Bar this past Saturday with another couple. Service was very efficient and friendly. Space was open and energetic. The owner was very gracious and came over 2x times to see how we were doing throughout our meal. The menu was interesting and absolutely delicious. Also love that is is BYOB. "
