10 Degrees South
Great Restaurant! This was first time at a restaurant serving South African type food. It was delicious, for one of our entrees we got the ostich...wow! So delicious. The staff was very friendly and seemed very knowledgeable regarding the dishes on their menu. Would reccomend this place for sure!5/17/2013 12:00:00 AMLoved itSurprise birthday dinner for my girlfriend, who is from South Africa. She loved the food and the music. We were adventurous and tried the ostrich. I would have thought it was steak. Delicious.5/9/2013 12:00:00 AMI pass it every day but hadI pass it every day but had not eaten there in years but had forgotten how good it was. My wife, son and I found the food absolutely delightful. The South African fusion of diverse cuisines is superb. We will be back.5/9/2013 12:00:00 AMWonderful ExperienceGreat food, being there a few times and keep going back.5/4/2013 12:00:00 AM10 Degrees South - A Tasty FindWe arrived for an early reservation a few minutes early to find staff still setting up the evening's tables. No problem, however, as we were ushered into the bar for a few minutes. After a chat with the bartender, and repair of a drink with bad tonic water, it was off to enjoy a delicious meal.
The small plate appetizers were tasty, especially the prawns. We tried also the lobster spring rolls. The only downside was getting the prawns out of the shell - a mild inconvenience, though. The lobster spring rolls, however, were overpowered by the roll taste, and not enough lobster taste.
The main course ostrich was excellent, and the sosatie beef, although a little spicy, was just as tasty. We can recommend both. Enthusiastically.4/30/2013 12:00:00 AMThe menu had a great selection,The menu had a great selection, the atmosphere was relaxed and comfortable and our waitress was great.4/27/2013 12:00:00 AMDelish! We were visiting Atlanta for the first time and wanted to try something new. I had previous great experiences with South African restaurants and 10 Degrees South did not disappoint. The ambiance in this place was awesome and the food was great! We decided to a lot if the small plates to get a good variety. The lobster rolls have a nice flavor. The rump steak was melt in your mouth good. The prawns were covered in a delicious lemon butter sauce. Overall, we had a great experience there. When visiting Atlanta, this is definitely a place you have to check out.4/25/2013 12:00:00 AMAlways a favorite-anythingAlways a favorite-anything on the menu done to perfection- only place in town for Bobotie and it is better than in South Africa

Great little spot!4/19/2013 12:00:00 AMWe love 10 Degrees South andWe love 10 Degrees South and this time introduced a work colleague to this unique restaurant. We shared a Safari Sample (lamb chops, sosaties, boerwors sausage, and rump steak) and a beef bobotie so we could give my co-worker a taste of many different things. The Beef Bobotie remains my favorite. A bit expensive, but there's no where else like it!4/17/2013 12:00:00 AMMy husband and I love to visitMy husband and I love to visit 10 degrees south. The food is delicious and the staff friendly. The one request would be for more seafood options. We only dine on chicken and fish so we got one of each of the two seafood dishes offered on the main course. We will be back.4/13/2013 12:00:00 AMPleasantly surprisedThe menu made me a little nervous, but everything our group ordered was amazing. The food is different - South African - and so well executed. Everything was perfect. When I made the reservations I put in the comments that we were celebrating our anniversary. When we were seated (by a romantic fireplace) the waiter presented us with two glasses of champagne and told us Happy Anniversary. It was just the right touch. Each course was delivered on time and prepared to perfection! We will definitely return. :)3/23/2013 12:00:00 AMFirst time here. Food wasFirst time here. Food was fantastic and service was very good. The only downside was that my seat faced the outdoor area and it wasn't a pleasant view.3/15/2013 12:00:00 AMWent late on a Wednesday soWent late on a Wednesday so the place was pretty quite and low-key. The food was good and I'd definitely recommend it. We tried a number of dishes, but the favorites were the ostrich and sosaties.3/13/2013 12:00:00 AM10 Dregees of Great! This was a very enjoyable experience. The food was good and different than what you will find in other places. It was great to break from the norm and still have a quality dinner. They try to keep everything as authentic to South Africa as they can, so it is nice to get the details behind each of the food choices.3/12/2013 12:00:00 AMExcellent food and serviceReally enjoyed it at 10 Degrees South. I ordered the chicken bobotie, which I was assured was not spicy. Wrong. It was so hot and spicy I really couldn't enjoy it. My server asked how it was, I told her, and she insisted on replacing it with something more to my liking. I got the elk, and it was great! Unrelated to that, the gentleman who appeared to be the manager (and who spoke with a South African accent) took a great interest in my wine selection, and helped me pick out something very unusual, and really nice. I would definitely go back here (but I'd stay away from the bobotie! Ouch!)1/25/2013 12:00:00 AM
